Las Palmeras - Steak & chicken sizzling fajitas with toppings - Mexican Near Me - Grove, Oklahoma

Consistently very good! Our favorite for Mexican food in Grove, OK Very friendly! Always willing to give you your meal the way you want it.

Las Palmeras is one of many Mexican food spots in Grove. However, it's lower on my favorites list. I tried a combination plate, and it came out like 3 minutes after I ordered, so service is very fast. But it was semi-bland. The chips tasted like the oil they use to fry needs to be changed. I overheard another table order an orange salsa, and I wish I had known that was an option because I would have tried it. It's clean and pretty small inside. Overall, I think it's good, but not great. There are better options in Grove. read more

EXCELLENT food and great Family prices. A lot of families eat here. Wait staff very attentive. Overall a GREAT family centered environment.

It is not TexMex; it is not OkieMex. It is a version of traditional authentic Mexican food. I had dined here several years ago. At that time, I must have not been particularly impressed; I didn't document the encounter with a review. My assessment now, decent Mexican food. As about as good as any place in Grove. Mild tomato-based salsa. The salsa picante has some heat. I distinctly remember the chips from the first visit. And my only real complaint. They are crisp, but a little dark like they have been under the heat lamp too long or toasted too long. My wife had a spectacular chili relleno that she raved about while eating it and continued raving on the drive home. It was covered with a very tasty and flavorful tomato based red sauce. For me Chili Rojo. Described on the menu as tender cubes of pork in a spicy red chili gravy. It didn't mention anything about potatoes. The plate that came to the table had chunks of potatoes. The pork was exactly as described and plenty of it. Excellent lean tender pork. I pushed the potatoes aside. The gravy was tasty, a little spicy, but far from the red chili sauce I had hoped for. The meal was good. Great beans. Las Palmeras has a slightly different version of traditional authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is a typical little Mexican joint. The building shows some wear. Bright colorful Mexican village scenes cover everything. Patio dining is available for those mild winter days. The restaurant is clean throughout. The service was fast attentive and friendly. Try it and compare yourself! read more

Aug 19, 2022. Restaurants in Grove are apparently not popular in Grove, OK, but there were a couple of small Mexican restaurants next to each other on Main St, and we decided on Las Palermas. I ordered the 3 taquitos, I think, with PINTO beans and rice. Black beans - no good. The waitress promised the chile would be hot, it was hot, but good. Not New Mexico chile. My wife ordered the fried cat fish filets, and she raved about about the wonderful flavor and texture. Our waitress was very good and helpful. The small dining area had a bit bad acoustics and echo. The waiter at a table next to us was constantly so loud, I had to remove my hearing aids. I know he meant well, though. I recommend the restaurant. read more

Lunch was great! Everyone here is so nice too! I called beforehand and the gentleman on the phone was very polite. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering. Fresh chips were brought out before we could finish the chip basket. Drinks stayed filled without having to ask. Two meals and a strawberry margarita for under $25. Will definitely be back if in the area again. read more

Las Palmeras - Margarita - Mexican Near Me - Grove, Oklahoma

Hands down, best Mexican food I've had in Grove, OK. Chips hot and crispy. Salsa fresh and flavorful. Red sauce on chile relleno was delicious and pepper was heavily breaded with lots of cheese inside. Beans and rice were tasty along with the enchilada covered in a meaty red sauce. And to top it off Margaritas were made to perfection. Thanks to our server, Angie, we enjoyed a delicious meal and never went without a refill on water, chips or salsa. She recommended the fajitas which came out aromatic and sizzling to a table nearby but I had my heart set on the Chile relleno which did not disappoint. read more

Las Palmeras - Chile Relleno, Enchilada, Frozen Margarita - Mexican Near Me - Grove, Oklahoma

I loved their cheese enchiladas with chili carne sauce. We went there during lunch and it was very busy! Great waiting staff!

Almost inedible. We were starving and our usual place was closed, so we decided to give this place a go. The salsa, cheese dip, and guacamole had very little flavor. I ordered the combination dinner which consists of a chicken enchilada, beef enchilada, a crispy taco, and a "fresh" tamale. I was able to eat the chicken enchilada with some help from the pico. The other two components were watery, yet greasy. The taco was even bad. The wait staff was very nice, but the food was the worst Mexican food I've ever EVER had. read more

Great service and great food last night for a family of six. Our server was outstanding. I would have given a fifth star if I had a detail bill before I paid out. I have no Idea if I was charged correctly. Not a good practice. read more

Delish food and great service. Fajita chimi was very good. Service was awesome! Isiah was excellent.

Came here for lunch the other day, started with their chips and salsa and had no complaints. I got the tacos al carbon, which came with three steak tacos with sides of rice, beans, guacamole, and pico- amazing! Service was fast and to the point, which I enjoy. Only complaint I have is that the tacos were only about 1/3 full, not as much meat on it as I'd prefer. But still very tasty! I'll definitely be back. read more

The food is okay but really over-priced. The service is incredibly slow so plan on waiting longer than normal.

The "go to" place in Grove for great Tex-Mex at a very reasonable price. Always friendly staff, good variety of dishes on the menu.

The first time I went here was with a group of co-workers. We had actually called ahead to reserve a table, as we knew the space is limited, and we were a big crowed. We got there and they said someone had called and cancelled our reservation. We asked everyone and no one did, but we were lucky enough to get there just as a bunch of people were leaving anyway. The food was excellent. I can't remember what I had exactly, but it was either a quesadia or an enchilada. I thought it was very good. The second time, I took my mom and I still thought it was very good. read more

Food was decent. However, service was awful!!! The waitress that seated started of rude, threw menus on the table, slammed the drinks on the table, never came back to get our order. While she cleaned tables, swept, and set up other tables around us. Other customers were seated and had their chips & salsa and drinks and she still hadn't come back. Finally the manager saw my face and he came quick. Our food came out quick after that. Was shorted tortillas, but was given more. When cashing out at register the manager didn't even ask how everything was, just took our cc card, ran it and has my husband sign from him. No thank you or anything. So husband left no TIP and he always leaves a tip for good service!!! read more

This place was really good. The salsa was delicious and more authentic than usual for this area. Hubby had carne asada beef tacos--delicious, and I had the 3 different enchiladas--the chili one was amazing. Nice little find in Grove! Will definitely be back for more! read more

Being a person who's from California (where the best Mexican food is in my opinion), this place comes pretty close to the food I've had from SD. Our waiter Julio was super friendly and provided amazing customer service. I totally recommended eating here if you're ever in the area. read more

It was okay. A little on the bland side, definitely needed salt on everything. The salsa was really good though.

I'll try to keep it short. The appetizer "armadillo eggs " was awesomeness. After that nothing else stood out. My lime margarita was warm. The steak on my #25 was tough and grizzled. Tasted more like liver and most of it had to be cut away bc it was inedible. However, the meal was huge and I shared it with my hubby. The chicken was good. The rice and beans average. The chips tasted fresh and the salsa was good. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I had the chicken and taco combo. The sour cream sauce was delightfully tangy, taco was pretty standard.
