We were immediately greeted and sat down. I liked the detail where you were able to see the kitchen from the dining area through a large window. Very cool. I had the old fashioned, which was true to its original form, and very good. Starting with the bread. Perfect crunch on the outside with a warm soft inside. We then had an order of the beef empanadas. My goodness, those little things were amazing! For our main course, we shared the bone in ribeye and the octopus. It's hard to find an octopus that doesn't have an overwhelming "rubbery" texture. It was so good. Perfectly seasoned. The way it was finished on the grill put it over the top. The steak was seasoned with all a good piece of meat needs: Salt and pepper. I loved that. The meat was cooked so perfectly, that you could pull it apart with your fingers. It was so juicy and flavorful! Delicious! I would put this steak up against almost any steakhouse in Houston. When I sent my compliments to the chef, he came out and personally thanked us for coming out. Once we got the bill, we were surprised by how little we paid for drinks, appetizers, and two main course meals. I would highly recommend you try this place and see for yourself. The bone had not been cooked completely and was very fiber and the beef tartar just tasted really off pudding just like raw meat instead of it bean seasoned and marinated the way it should be. We had to send it back for it to get cooked for the bone and when they brought it back, it was still the same thing so they ended up removing it from our check. After this, I did get a cup of the asparagus soup and I have to say that was really nice. Then I got the American ribeye since they were out of the Argentina ribeye which is a disappointment. I had asked for a medium. It came cooked more than medium and it was weird how light colored it was and it just tasted like a typical steak nothing really special to it. The baked potato was whatever. Now the portobello mushrooms and wine sauce that was really delicious. I don't think I would come back here just cause there was nothing really special about it. When he went to pay with Apple Pay, the employee took his phone and then closed the window without immediately returning it. My husband actually had to open the window himself to get his phone back. According to him, everyone looked surprised or confused by what happened. Because we have experienced identity theft in the past, this was an immediate red flag for him. When someone takes your phone while you're trying to pay and then closes the window without giving it back, that's not something you should have to wonder about. Instead of receiving an apology or having the situation handled professionally, he was given three tacos instead of four, with only beef and tortillas no onion, no cilantro, and no salsa. After checking his order, he had to ask for the missing toppings and finally received them. As a Latina myself, I find this entire experience incredibly disappointing. If you're serving customers in the United States, there should be an effort to communicate with them and provide the same quality of food and service regardless of whether they're Latino or American. My husband went there looking forward to authentic tacos and left feeling uncomfortable and poorly treated. Based on this experience, we will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to our family, friends, or followers.

The tomatillo salsa tasted more citrusy and salty to me than spicy. It was not bad, just not really my preference. The blue exterior makes the building hard to miss, and the inside is quite lovely, a Modern Mexican aesthetic.
