We were a group of 10…read moregirls in town for a bachelorette weekend and Will & Cameron helped set the bar high for the first full-day of the trip. As the Maid of Honor, I was in charge of plans for the weekend and I wanted to start the trip with my own version of a bike tour around Folly. I called 2 days prior to our arrival because I didn't initially think we needed a formal reservation, but started to get nervous as we got closer to the trip. When I called, the guys told me it would be no problem and they would have 10 bikes ready for us at 11:00am that Friday. I wasn't sure what would happen when we arrived, so I held my breath and crossed my fingers all would work out. I was ecstatic when we arrived to see Will and Cameron already at the door waiting on us!! We were maybe 5 minutes or so after 11:00 (10 girls can be a lot to get out the door) but they both commented on us "being on time," so I felt much better. They got us setup and on our way very quickly. I even asked for some of their "expert opinions" on restaurant/bars we should stop throughout the day and they provided us with great recommendations. I think having the bikes on a Friday was perfect because we didn't run into too much traffic and it felt very safe everywhere we went. We were really sad to return the bikes at the end of the day. I thought we would only spend a few hours on them since Folly isn't that big, but we were having so much fun we stayed on them until the shop was closing. By the end of the weekend, I asked the girls what their favorite part of the trip was and the most common response was the bikes!! If I had to do it over, I would probably pay to rent bikes for the full weekend. It was the best way to get 10 girls around Folly Beach!

When you pull up, someone has to get out of the car, go in and find someone to open the gate. I don't recall seeing this written anywhere. we learned it after we sat at the gate for 2 min w/out anything happening. Once we got it, we had to sign some consents and then we headed across a field to the river. They provided a waterproof cell phone case, a map, and extra paddles in case the ones your using fall into the water. They provide a little tutorial on how to paddle which was very helpful. Then they load you in and send you on your way! it was so much fun!

You had the choice of solo or tandem kayaks. The instructor Luke did a nice beginners explanation of the flow of the river and how to paddle. The tour was two hours and he was really informed from types of ecology, Charleston history, changing tides, alligators, and pretty much anything else under the sun. I also have to say thank you to Luke, he would pull trash (empty bottles, cans, even a basketball!!) out of the water to dispose of correctly. You can tell he really cares about what he's doing and the area he's from. Please do yourself a favor, get on the water and enjoy seeing Middleton in another way.

It was my first time kayaking in costal waters but I felt very comfortable with our guide. She was very familiar with the waterways and educated on the local wildlife. The tour was amazing! We had perfect weather, calm water, and several site points. It was cool seeing the pluff mud marshes up close! Please note: COA is located off Folly Rd which happens to be a main road to Folly Beach. Thankfully I did the 9:00am slot, because there was bumper to bumper traffic along Folly Rd by the time the tour ended around 11:30pm.

I decided to give the store a call to get an understanding why the online said 8 hrs if they closed at 5 and needed everything back by 5. He said oh idk but we close at 5. Seemed to the only sentence he knew. Rushed back to return bc he did state if they were not brought back by 5 then we would be charged. Im upset bc I would have never made a reservation for chairs at 230 and pick up the chairs at 3 if I knew I was on a time crunch( 70 dollars!!!!!! ) i definitely wouldn't have added a umbrella for 30 dollars. When I returned our items I told the worker he should have let us know prior us walking out the door that we had till 5. And that they should fix their website bc it wasn't correct and he said yeah well we close at 5. (Annoying) I told him I was t happy about it and I would leave a review and contact the manager and be said okay that's fine and he said "what do you expect me to do about it" Also the umbrella/tent was awful.
