I've dined at this restaurant numerous times and will keep coming back. They always serve chips and salsa for the table, which is a nice touch. My go-to dish is the carnitas plate, served with rice and refried beans. The portion is generous, so you'll definitely have leftovers. The grilled onions are always grilled to perfection, and the plate comes with three tortillas. Also, I ordered a mango mojito, which wasn't overly sweet--a plus--but I felt it could have used a bit more alcohol. The server was attentive, and despite the crowd, our food arrived in under 15 minutes.

Best well priced mexican food! Everything is delicious and it is one of my go-tos in the northeast. Margaritas are also delicious. Portions are huge and unlimited chips and salsa is a plus

I live in Phoenix, and honestly they have amazing Mexican food in there. When I came here I wasn't sure how the food was going to measure up. Listen when I tell you this food was amazing !!!!!!! Everything was so well seasoned , fresh and authentic! I had the Texicana Fajitas which included steak, chicken, & shrimp with a side of beans and rice, pico de gallo, sour cream and tortillas. My daughters ordered the carne asade tacos, custom burrito bowl , & enchiladas. All of the portion sizes were great !! We all took home more than half of our food. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and I thought it was going to be watered down... I could not have been more wrong. It was delicious and I could feel a nice buzz after a couple of sips. The service was so good! From the host to the servers we were greeted warmly and treated well. The inside felt warm and had a family atmosphere!

I LOVE Las Margaritas! The beautiful paintings on the wall, the music makes it a busy but fun experience. I went with a party of 6 and our waiter was so attentive. The food was delivered to our table in record time! The carnitas (pork) plate is to die for! The margaritas are equally delicious. Overall, a great place to dine with family or friends.

Tamal, arroz, tacos de chorizo y tostones

Upon walking into Las Margaritas I was met with polite staff who brought me to a table, instantly. Before ordering my hefty meal, my eyes graced the colorful murals and decor emulating Mexican/Latino design. In fact, next to my table was a tall, sculpted Saguaro cactus bedazzled with flower-shaped lights expressing a warm, relaxed pink hue. Before my food came, the waiter served me a generous helping of complimentary tortilla chips with a medium-sized bowl of salsa. The surprises continue, as multiple chips were colored in the green and red hues reminiscent of Mexico's flag, in celebration of Cinco De Mayo. Digging into the chips with gusto, I noted an excellent texture, satisfying crunch and balanced saltiness. Not too long afterwards, did my waiter bring all the dishes I had ordered including tamal con arroz, tacos de chorizo y tostones. Frankly, I ordered so many dishes because I was expecting the servings to be small, but Las Margaritas subverted my expectations with the monolithic tamal, a mountain of rice, 3 tacos filled to the brim with chorizo and a virtually bottomless basket of tostones.

*Queue "One Margarita" * Y'all y'all y'all. Hear me out. This place isn't the greatest food, it's far from perfect. What it is though is exactly what I expected from a TexMex place. This place is in an awkward spot in the plaza. The paintings on the wall are kinda great. It also looks like the one by my table was painted like two years ago. I don't know why I find that great but I love it. We were given a table super quick. The wait staff was super nice. Very friendly. The menu is pretty large so it can be hard to figure out what to get. I started with a Paloma. The chips were crisp, and the salsa was loose. This is perfect for what I was hoping for. I ordered the queso fundido. I don't think it was remotely close but it was damn good. I got the deluxe plate or something close to that name. If had everything. Chile rilleno, enchilada, tamal, taco, beans rice, and a tostada. There was a massive portion of rice and beans. These are the rice and beans I remember at the TM places of my childhood. The tab wasn't too bad for me ordering quite a bit and the largest entree possible. Let's get one final thing straight again. This is not perfect food. This is what I wanted when I saw a TexMex spot in a strip mall. "Two margaritas"

When I tell you I used to come here ALL the time, I'm not kidding. I used to go to the location they had before this one....that's making sound really old lol Haven't been here in a minute and I'm so glad it was just as good as it always has been! I got my favorite chicken quesadilla. Of course we started with chips and cheese dip! They do provide the tables with complementary chips and salsa which is always good!

We were looking for a good Happy near Bensalem and stumbled upon this place. They do not have HH, but their regular prices beat everyone else's HH menus. The 32oz margarita was well worth the money and for a $5 quesadilla, there was A LOT of meat packed into the tortilla. The system for reserving seats is not the best, but we didn't end up waiting as long as they told us we would. All in all, you get more than what you pay for here and it's a nice cost effective option to have in the area.

My group and I have been going to Las Margaritas for years! If you're looking for some good Mexican food and drinks, this is the place. The waiters are patient and are happy to explain the menu to you. My group really enjoys the margaritas (of course), beef quesadillas and the carnitas.

Booths and bar seating is available as well as a patio on weekends. It is located in a sketchy area but a police car is stationed on the corner. I felt as safe as I do in other areas of Philly. We were greeted as soon s we walked in by both the bartender and one of the owners. Our server brought water as soon as we sat down. She was attentive and helpful with explanations. The food here is authentic! Several different kinds of guacamole are available. We chose the one with pomegranate. It added a nice crunch and flavor. One with grasshopper was available. lol that was a no for me! The trio of empanadas were delicious. We shared a carnitas taco platter and branzino platter. The tacos were tasty. The branzino was cooked nicely with good flavor. The rice and beans and Brussels spouts and mushrooms were all delicious. I'll definitely be back!

The meat in the tacos was so dry that it was hard to chew and swallow. Some of the pieces were cooked to a crisp. No amount of salsa could make them better. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the tacos, but trust me me I get no pleasure from leaving a bad review for this place; I am not lying or exaggerating. I thought they were going to be one of our local gems. I choked down a half a taco, gave the rest to my husband and he couldn't eat them either. The churros actually had raw batter in the middle and the outside was rubbery and hard at the same time. You could barely bite through it. I'm a cook and I know that that is about keeping the oil at an even temperature to get the inside done and not overcook the outside. Someone in the kitchen did not know what they were doing. The thing is, I have had their food before and it was pretty good. I don't know if there is a new chef or what happened, but I can't trust them after this experience.

Honestly El Rey is great!…read more As a Los Angeles native, Mexican food is always a "not as good as California" affair, and with that bar, it's hard to find anything that holds a candle. But El Rey is good in its own right, taking familiar foods and flavors, with a bit of a fancier twist, and making a good meal that I love to eat and enjoy! Seating and service here is friendly and prompt. Even when it's pretty loud and seems packed, there are always a handful of open tables available, where we've usually been able to be seated almost immediately. Such was the case this evening. We were on a bit of a time crunch so we ordered immediately and our food came out so fast that the waiter for our table was surprised as the food beat him with our napkins to the table. We ordered the Tuna Tostada and the Yucatan Spiced Chicken Fajitas. Both were amazing! Good thing for our tight timeline, the food was gone as fast as it came. The waiter helpfully recommend the house hot sauce, which was certainly spicy and a good compliment on our fajitas. Overall, a great place to dine for Mexican-inspired! Perfectly seasoned, tender, flavorful -- the kind of bite that makes you close your eyes for a second. They were so good I came back two days later just for them. That's not a craving... that's infatuation. - The Chayote Salad completely surprised me. Fresh, bright, and paired with their homemade hot sauce? My palate was awakened. I even brought it home (with dressing and hot sauce on the side) and it still hit! Speaking of heat -- if you love spicy food, ASK for their homemade hot sauce. It's bold, fiery, and addictive. I ultimately landed on one of the dinner specials (Cabernet braised brisket with a side of carrots & buttery mashed potatoes), chips & salsa and a Paloma. Chips landed first and while both salsas were fresh, I still felt the need to add salt. (Everyone's palate is different) Food & drink arrived simultaneously. Paloma was made strong but tasted more like a classic margarita as opposed to the tang of grapefruit that comes with a Paloma. Still good!
