In going with a friend to a Hearing Test appointment, we decided to stop here for lunch.
And, despite opening later than listed (11:10/15 vs 11:00), the food was worth waiting for.
Now, my friend had planned on getting the Tamale plate, but they had taken it off the menu, as the person who made them, passed away. :-( So, we both ordered a traditional Cuban sandwich! And, I must say, it's the best Cuban sandwich that I've ever had (10 Stars)!! And, a first where they used chopped beef.
I also ordered to go, Carnitas - Cuban style for tonight's dinner.
But , they didn't open as posted, are no longer serving Tamales (though, a large order {2-3 dozen} can be placed 2 weeks ahead of the needed time), and the Chips and Salsa are ala cart.
Even though we had to wait, a waitress was kind enough to step around the corner to let us know that they were open.
And, the owner chatted with us for several minutes.
Cuban style Pork Carnitas, with Rice, Cuban Black Beans, Fried Plantains, and Cooked Yucca Dinner:
WOW!!! Though, I still had had the Cooked Yucca, everything was excellent!
The only way it could have been better, is to have some Cuban bread.
While I don't know when I'll be able to get here again, I definitely want to try their other dishes.
