My husband and I came to La Paz not only for the beaches, but also for the food. This place has been the highlight of our trip! The service was amazing and the food was even better! I had the shrimp with white sauce. On my goodness it was amazing! Got full eating the vegetable rice, potato salad and shrimps. Lots of shrimp! I also ordered the shrimp ceviche and that was delicious too! Party also ordered a fish dish, absolutely amazing! Shrimp with garlic sauce that was good, and a shrimp combo plate (coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, and shrimp stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon) that was ok. Came with papaya dipping sauce. Service was outstanding! Try this restaurant out!

Absolutely outstanding experience!…read more Private Cooking Experience: Learning Flavors of La Paz, and it lived up to the name. It starts with a market visit, which was genuinely interesting and not rushed. The included transportation made everything easy, so there was nothing to think about logistically and we could just enjoy the experience. Once we got to the rooftop kitchen with beautiful views, it was clear this was not a watch and listen class. We made everything ourselves, both the food and the drinks. We learned how to make fresh guacamole, salsa, and shrimp tacos from scratch, step by step, and then sat down and ate what we cooked. Nothing pre made and nothing felt skipped. The drinks were just as hands on. We made our own margarita, mezcalita, and the double canala. It was not a quick pour and move on situation. You actually learn how they are made. The instructors explained things clearly without hovering, which made the class feel relaxed and fun instead of scripted. We asked questions, made a few small mistakes, fixed them, and learned more because of it. At the end, we received laminated recipe cards to take home, plus treats to bring with us, which was an unexpected and appreciated bonus. It made the experience feel complete, not transactional. Best of all, everything we ate and drank came from our own hands, which made the whole dinner feel earned. Considering how much you learn, the quality of the food and drinks, the rooftop setting, and the fact that this is essentially a full dinner experience, the price was more than reasonable. It felt like real value. This is a great experience for both couples and groups. Highly recommended and easily one of the highlights of our trip.

Mariscos, in LaPaz, BCS MX, is a place that has both the great view and the great food. From a USA POV, it is at a great price, too. I ate here during a recent fishing trip to LaPaz. Not only does Mariscos have a great selection of cooked and uncooked fish dishes, but they will cook your catch as part of your dinner as well. What a fun and tasty thing to do with our super fresh catch. We had a number of items, and ordered too much. The central item for our crew was the Seafood platter of multiple preparations of fish as shown in the photos. Yow! Great sauces and great prep. Everything from sashimi (raw) to breaded and fried. We ordered some other dinners to go with it, which was a mistake because there was so much food. Service was great, they really care, and the view was great too - see the sunset photo from the top deck where we ate. When in LaPaz, this is on my list to visit.

Looking at old photos of the exterior, it's no wonder we've passed this place up every time we've driven through. It was around evening time when we noticed their business sign -bright and vivid. We were familiar with the restaurant in Cabo so we knew the seafood would be good. We had to stop by as we were too starve to wait. We were greeted, seated and given menus immediately. A complimentary tea cup size fish broth arrived at our table; it was bland, but hot. I ordered my usual mixto civeche as my partner with her usual clams. Our food and drinks arrived in no time. While she had no complaints, unfortunately, my ceviche was not what I had expected. I figured since I liked the Toro Guero in Cabo so much, La Paz location would not disappoint. My mixto ceviche was dry and was missing seasoning. It was missing a "kick." Nonetheless, I lemoned it up and finished the entire dish without issues. Like I said, I was hungry. We returned today before our flight back home to San Diego. I wanted to try something new. The shrimp burrito was ok. Not alot of shrimp, too mushy due to guacamole and the tortilla fell apart....to heavy and wet. I used a fork to finish the rest. Staff members are attentive. I would return again and maybe try sometime different
