I like this salon a lot the staff is super nice and they do a great job. Vanessa is my go-to nail tech, she's amazing at what she does and I've followed her to different locations for years. The only reason I stopped going here was the prices. A fill-in with a design and a pedicure was costing me over $185, and the pricing always felt inconsistent. The nail techs don't set the prices, the front desk does, and they never really explained why it came out the way it did. Whether I did a simple design or something more detailed, it always seemed to land around $180 and up. On top of that, the front desk can be loud and comes off a little attitude-y. She tries to be nice, but it feels fake, and she'll mumble things or make inappropriate comments about others loud enough for the whole salon to hear. That's honestly what led me to find a cheaper spot I could keep up with every 3 weeks. The only reason I'm writing this review is because i don't feel comfortable having a 4 star review under my name for them when they have been giving zero star service. I've honestly been having little issues with them for a few months but i let it slide because of convenience. My gel polish has been chipping , bumps on my nails, just work that hasn't been the best. They also seem to not care about customer service.. and i don't like to patronize a business that treats clients poorly. The biggest issue is the fact that i told them today i was not feeling well for my appointment tomorrow and she told me it's okay that i can come in SICK lol. I told her i may have the flu or covid and she literally told me it's okay. I'm not sure if she wanted to waste my time or they really DGAF but as a medical professional that should be reported to the board because it's nasty! Moving forward she then said if i wanted my other scheduled appointment i have to leave a deposit EVEN though i followed policy and told her 24 hours in advance , she said it's because she called me first?? Like what does that matter ? I'm telling you 24 hours in advance that i am sick and do not feel well to come to my appointment. So clearly she doesn't care about the safety of her employees to even ask me to do that!! She's It's childish and i always thought of her to have a bad attitude but she's only the receptionist and my concern is Blanca who is nice! . I saw another customer from 5 months ago had the same exact issue I'm having now! I am too busy to play games with Lilly if she wants to lose money that's on her. OR Maybe they wanted only latinas coming there and figured this was their way to keep me away? Idk but it was rude and disrespectful when i have always been kind , on time and never have canceled before. Because Majority of the time im waiting on them! There's many of salons in North Bergen , fort Lee , palisades park , edgewater , Hudson and Bergen county to go to that appreciate their customers. I went in because the reviews were high but left disappointed and not cared for as a client. This took 2.5 hours at $100 for a simple ombré. I made an appointment and I only do acrylics nails twice a year. My birthday and Christmas. This was supposed to be a "pampering myself gift " and ruined by the employee Neydi who seemed to be in a rush and than blamed me for moving to much and thats why the ombré was coming off. This wasn't the original design I wanted but she didn't care to even know what style color I was going for. Decent place, decent quality. Pricing is inconsistent they charged me the same for a fill in as a new set. (Not including the extra for designs) that's why I won't go back. Not sure if all the same people work there from all the pictures they have up. (Even a different business name when they text you the receipt) I gave them a few tries, the last two times weren't the best experience. (The two pictures) she cut me on almost every finger by my cuticles ( like burning washing my hands for a few days!! Cooking with gloves!) it was veryyyyy annoying. And thinking about it after def not sanitary. A little bulkier then I asked and nails weren't really even on both hands and I found them lifting a lot both times(like water getting in) after the 1st fill in I was able to pop off the whole set in like 2 weeks. Found them instagram and chose them specifically for their shaping and design techniques, all of their nail designs are clean & slim (no bump were the cuticle starts), with sharp edges (no rounded edges, unless you want it). I needed a new full set since my old nails were super grown out and the original shape was just not my taste (as in when I first got them, the nails curved down so dramatically, I looked like I had animal claws & not in a good way). NOTE: If you need a new set for all your nails make an appointment for "FULL SET ACRYLIC", they are in high demand due to their talent so they wont be able to change the type of appointment you asked for when you come in. They then set me up with Geidys (which was super sweet, didn't speak too much english but really tried her best to accommodate me!), who worked tirelessly for two hours to perfect my new nails, to exactly what I wanted! All the ladies at the salon were super sweet, especially Geidys, and the receptionist who came rushing to us when we needed help. I definitely recommend this place because I'm in LOVE with my new nails! They are the perfect shape, length, and most importantly they don't curve in but instead go straight out, elongating my fingers and making them look elegant. Just came here for the first time and was not impressed. I got a gel mani and regular pedicure. I was about 5 minutes late and when I got in the nail salon the manicurist was not there. The receptionist had called her to let he know that I had arrived so I waited for a few minutes, no biggie. The lady came in and was rushing to file the top layer of gel. She did my toes while my nails soaked and did a great job on my feet. When we got back to the table the started rushing on my nails again. She asked me if I wanted them cut and I said yes and showed her what was a good length. She began cutting my nails and cut too much off of some and not enough on others. She filed some an almond shape and others round. I had to ask her to file some down as they were too long. I think she was a little bothered I asked. But I was bothered that she didn't even care they were all uneven. When she finished filing them she didn't ask me to wash my hands, which is what I'm used to doing to take off all that dust. I even asked if I should, But she was on the phone and just shook her head no. She went straight into painting them. She did a decent job painting them but I can't get over that none of them are the same length. Aren't they supposed to make sure they are? I was also surprised that they charge $15 for a design. When I just moved to the area, I was looking for a new nail salon and stumbled upon Lary Nails. It's a Hispanic nail salon with reasonable pricing in my opinion for a gel manicure and I usually get a regular pedicure. I tried out most of the techs but I like Marina a lot. I've recommended her to my sister and friends who have also booked appointments. Marina does a very thorough job and she gives great recommendations and always asks me what I'm thinking throughout the process. As you know, some techs just do things without asking and you feel awkward chiming in. My nails grow a lot bc of the way she does them. She cleans my nails so well and not only that, the gel manicure lasts quite a bit. I'm not ashamed to say I go back every 1 to 1.5 months to get them redone. They charge $10 extra for French but I understand that bc it does require extra work. The only thing is not all the techs speak English which is ok because you can show them a picture but sometimes communication is a bit hard. The gel manicure comes with removal of old gel, cleaning nails, hand massage, lotion, cuticle oil and same with pedicure. I feel very relaxed. read more

I was immediately impressed by their acrylic design work so I called and was able to get an appointment for the exact date and time that worked for me. Upon arriving I was greeted by all of the nail technicians offered coffee/water etc. the decor in the salon is amazing and it is very clean. All tools used on me were brand new and just for me. I came into Lary nails last week Friday for a pedicure and nails (acrylic tips). The service was good and they did a great job BUT while getting my feet done the nail tech took off a lot of skin which caused me to bleed a bit and later resulted in me getting a toe infection (totally gross). I had to go to urgent care with a swollen foot, it was painful to say the least. Im very disappointed in the result of what I thought was a clean place and good service. I found it to be a bit expensive for just plain white nails. I didn't do any gel, designs or add stones to my nails and it came out to $113. If you're into long nails with a bunch of art work on it then this is your place. Just be careful with the pedicures, might end up in the ER/UC... :( read more

I'm new to the area and by some miracle they were able to squeeze me in same day, at 5pm on a Saturday! I was only able to do a pedi at Larry's, but it was amazing! I've been going to Lary for over two years and when I came to her my nails were ravaged! I had tried to get acrylics at other salons and they would lift within a week and used the acrylic that you would have to soak for over 2 hours and then rip off your nails leaving them broken, damaged, and brittle. Lary has completely changed my nails!!! I have been getting my acrylic nails from her and they never lift and last one month before I get a fill. When I remove my acrylics to get a full set my natural nails are healthy and intact which says a lot about their work and acrylic application. I live on Staten Island And I drive to north Bergen once a month to get my nails done by her and her staff. They are knowledgeable on all the new techniques, acrylics, and colors. They are constantly innovating and creating unique designs and styles. They are extremely professional and neat with their work. The salon is immaculate and everything they use for pedicures is disposable which is a plus. The ladies are very accommodating and warm and the prices are fair for the quality and time that is dedicated to their work.
