My son has been playing at Danny Berry Baseball for two years now and I can attest to the fact that…read morenot only has he learned to be a better player in terms of his basic skill set, he has also learned the "heart" of baseball; how to will with grace and lose with class, how to cheer on his teammates, and how to play hard on the field and be friends with the members of the other teams afterwards. I don't know of any other program that instills sportsmanship as well as Danny Berry does. Starting at age 3, boys and girls can sign up for Danny Berry. In the Spring there's Little League and in the Fall there's travel league. Over the summer, Danny Berry also runs a baseball camp (which includes other sports and swimming). Danny Berry also can provide private baseball lessons if you would prefer. Located just behind the Alper JCC campus, the fields are well appointed, with lights that come on in the evening, and Danny Berry has batting cages as well for practice. The coaches at Danny Berry are top-notch. They are quick to praise a child for getting something right, even if they don't master the skill ("great hustle!" "good swing!") but they don't sugar coat it when a child doesn't live up to his own potential ("where were you? Why weren't you backing your teammate up? Keep your eye on the ball!") I particularly appreciate the emphasis the coaches put on each child's effort. It is a maxim of baseball that you can't make every hit, catch every ball, or win every game, but you can try every time. When a child is trying his hardest, he will be singled out by the coach as an exceptional player. Or as one coach put it about my son, "he didn't catch any of the fly balls today, but he's going to keep trying, and pretty soon he's going to catch every single one of them because he never gives up practicing it." Several months later, my son does indeed catch every single fly ball - with a practiced ease that comes from endless drills. If your child is interested in baseball, I highly recommend giving Danny Berry a try. The program will inspire an ongoing interest and love of the sport as well as delivering a fantastic skill set that will be drawn upon for as long as your child plays sports. Of Note: Danny Berry also offers baseball parties. The children play for an hour and then eat for an hour. Also of Note: Danny Berry has a food truck on the premises. It is not fancy by any stretch, but it is GLATT KOSHER (meat). Chicken nuggets, hot dogs, burgers and fries are all available, as well as peanuts and cracker jack!

Danny Berry's league is a league where your kid and his team can spend all season long working their butts off, waking up at 630 AM to take practice swings before school, and then lose the championship game because some academy decided to sit out several players in their 8U roster and bring in 9 and 10-year-olds to fill the spots in an 8U game. It is actually allowed, within the rules of Danny Berry's league, to play whatever players you want in a playoff/finals game (even if they aren't on the roster). And since Mr. Berry does not check birth certificates, Academies who want to cheat are essentially free to do so. If Danny Berry actually cared about the kids, he would show up to the league and at least watch some games here and there. We never saw him until the very last day, when he comes to hand out trophies or rings after the championship game. If Danny Berry actually cared about the kids, he would have a stable coaching staff for his academy. But he doesn't; his academy's staff is a revolving door and none of those kids are learning anything. You can see they're learning nothing by the fact that they play very badly and are consistently at the bottom of the league (I've attached screenshots to show this). If Danny Berry cared about the kids, he wouldn't have an academy that's happy to take a monthly check but provide no results. If you want to build a baseball academy and make a name for yourself by cheating and playing a roster over the age limit, then Danny Berry is probably a great man to have a business relationship with. If you want a good place for your kids to play or a good academy to join, absolutely stay away. Don't be fooled by the fake reviews left by his friends and family members.

I recommend this dojo to anyone (young or old) who is looking to stay fit or to simply defend their selves. There are many classes to choose from depending on which style of fighting you are looking to try.

Mommy of a 15 month old babygirl…read more Let me begin by emphasizing that my husband is extremely hands on with our daughter he doesn't miss a single doctors appointment or activity she does 95% of the time. Education and social development are extremely important to him and I. That being said he doesn't believe in school under the age of 3. That all changed after our tour at KLA with Eileen (not sure if the spelling is correct). We arrived and first impression was amazing. You first have to walk through TWO doors to reach the children's hallway. The staff greets EVERY parent and student by name. The facility is spotless and it seems every corner has items to make your child think. We saw the outdoor space, art room, and classrooms all amazing. The instructors seemed very hands on with every child. Classrooms were setup prior to children returning from recess with the activity they would be performing that day (very organized). And everyone we met was super patient especially Eileen, she answered every single question in a way that did not feel rushed and you could tell she had a great passion for KLA. When the tour ended she even invited us to return for a mommy and me class so we could get a better feel how a child's day at school would go. This is what sealed the deal for my husband. The classroom we observed was interactive, engaging and most importantly felt SAFE. We asked if we could step out for 5 mins to see what it would feel like to leave our child alone with unfamiliar people. We were permitted to observe from a window. Clearly our babygirl cried.. the instructor comforted her and read her a book and the tears were gone within 3 mins. Nothing during our mock trail felt forced or fake it seemed genuine. Parents walking the hallway were smiling, one even told us they love the school for their children. We met with the director and were given prices.. to be honest the monthly fee is expensive compared to other school we have toured. However, when you experience the KLA culture, the staff and community the tuition becomes priceless when our child's development is on the line. She hasn't started and won't till the new school year but so far Eileen has made a profound impression on our family and we have never felt so confident in our decision. At the end of the school year I will review again on the progress our babygirl has made. THE BEST IS YET TO COME :)

She knows the pledge of allegiance, numbers, letters, colors, and is finishing out pre K reading a few words. I know she is safe here and I am sad that she has grown out of the school. I would keep her here if the grades went higher. Pamela and Ayleen are super caring and attentive to any inquiries and called me to update me on my child when the drop off was difficult and emotional. I am so glad this school exists and glad this was my child's first school experience.
