This is a great place to come to. Wow!…read more
The Masters and all the other instructors are very knowledgeable, curteous, respectful, helpful and encouraging. My daughter is coming to K Martial Arts now for almost three months. She is always excited to go there, even when we are stuck in the car for up to 40min each way; it is worth coming. She would come every day, even when she is sore from working out.
The children get rewarded and acknowledged by each member; they will be addressed and focused on as needed. Nobody gets left behind. I can trust her in their hands and just to do something else meanwhile, however when possible I like watch. When I ran late, they have her in the office supervised, or she can watch, or participate in the other class, but I would recommend to respect them and bring and get them on time.
The owner/Master is always present. The other Master(s), plus the other instructors will stick with you throughout the class. There are always two members, plus the Masters, minimum. The children groups that I have observed so far are usually 8-16 children; most of the time around 10.
The children get attention and rewarded with stars and strips, for each visit and for their accomplishments.
Discipline and respect has much value here. They have a demo team and even the little ones with higher ranks/belts help out the other kids. It's all one group. Like little soldiers. It's most certainly a good way to show kids a way to be respectful, courteous, willing, disciplined and correct.
Before being accepted, a Master and, or the owner/Master (with a long career in this sport) will test your child and see, if she, or he is ready for it. It's not just a place were: here is a uniform, show me the money honey and come as you please situation. Nor, signing any, or long contracts with penalties and up-selling gimmicks. Not here.
This place is very clean, fairly new and very modern. The atmosphere is peaceful, besides from the enthusiastic screaming of the kids; haha. It is wide open and not as claustrophobic as many other places.
You can comfortably watch them from behind the wood columns, an architectural feature and there is plenty of room to sit for at least 12 people.
Parking is available onsite, but can be tricky on a Saturday, since there is a small Asian grocery store right next to it. There is also a cellphone store and dry cleaner place that share the lot.
There are parking spots in front and behind the building. Besides that, during the week, you won't have any issues finding a spot.
Clothing and other protective gear is readily available to purchase at reasonable prices; comparing to some other stores and places. One uniform is included during the sign up. Replacements cost money, but they are reasonable priced.
There are no gimmicks and sales pitches. They will not hassle you for money and try to sell you something else. Instead you will be provided with an honest feedback of your child.
The *price is pretty much set and you may come one to six times per week, it doesn't matter.
She is so excited about the sport and language, it's crazy. My daughter often requests to listen to Disney songs in Korean and tries her moves out on me.
Parents, watch out! Haha! I probable could sing by now the Belle song from Beauty and the Beast in Korean.
She has me blast them in the car each and every day...
This place is not just for children. There are adult classes, mixed classes and other options available.
It is most certainly worth coming to K Martial Arts.
Why don't you give them a try?
Be respectful, be on time and be clean to keep this place nice. It's a gem.
Thank you K Martial Arts Team!
