They also offer an overall review and maintenance for $100 on top of whatever service. There's also a beautiful waiting area behind the shop with a view of the pond. Wow I am blown away by the service and the friendliness of the whole staff here at Larson's. So this will be my first winter and I did a lot of research and trying to find a great place to get the undercarriage of my car sprayed. I called them set up an appointment was very very easy found out they've been doing this for years and I put my trust in them and at the end I am very very satisfied. If you need your car sprayed or just need a great automobile shop and live nearby this is your place to be. They have a great waiting area in the back overlooking a lake on spring or summer days I can imagine how pretty it's out. This place ROCKS. I made an appointment with Diane for a second opinion and estimate. Being told over the weekend that I needed to replace my front brakes and rotors, I was curious. Turns out they either lied or know nothing about cars, because Diane and her crew explained to me that my brakes are fine, in fact just ten percent used. The place I USED to go I thought were honest decent people. Turns out I was mistaken and could have cost me. Thank you all for taking good care of Bella. I went to Larson's because they were the local dealer for rustproofing that I wanted to try to save my new car with. I got a phone quote of no more than $110 based on the amount of material used which I thought was fair & judging by my car I thought would come under since there wasn't a lot of area to spray. I get there & everyone is really nice & the tech shows me the car before & after which I thought was really nice. I did watch much of the application, which was quick & seemed to involve very little product (which was confirmed on the look "after"). I was surprised to pay the max quote, but I thought it was worth it since the tech seemed so competent, but for my other car I decided to buy the identical product in two spray cans for $30 & apply it myself. Fast forward to post-Winter & I was incredibly disappointed to find how rusty the car done by Larson's was. It was worse overall than the one I did with spray cans for a fraction of the cost & I actually needed three cans so I didn't do a perfect job to begin with. Needless to say, I won't be back since apparently I can do a better job by myself for a fraction of the cost. I gave two stars because the people were really that nice. read more

I am thrilled with the service that I have recieved from Larson's. My Acura is my baby and I am give it everything it needs. For years I was afraid to leave my dealership in fear that other repair shops wouldn't be able to provide me with the same level of precision that Acura trained technicians would. Larson's has VERY knowledgeable and friendly people that will give you an honest recommendation for your vehicle. I had some suspension work done by them for hundreds of dollars cheaper than the dealership quoted me. I will return to Larson's for all of my car's needs. I've been a grateful Larson's customer for almost 5 years. They've never let me down. When I bring my car in for its regular check up, they go over it from headlights to tail pipe. If they find an issue, they explain it to me in language I can understand. They advise me on the regular maintenance my hard working baby needs, but have never tried to push an unnecessary work. How much do I trust these folks? I do a lot of late night and all night interstate driving alone. But when I pull out of my driveway at 3am to to head for a job in New Jersey, the one thing I'm not worrying about is my car. read more

My sister's car died randomly last week. She towed it to her brand dealer who first said they'd look Monday, then Thursday. Then the diagnostic fee was high. Yelped it and found Larson's and was impressed with a woman owned co. so told her call. They told her to tow it over and they'd take a look. Its now that same Monday afternoon, they've already diagnosed, quoted and her car will be back in her hands tomorrow and the price is amazing. We just found our new family shop. I was very surprised that my experience was not like everyone else. I brought my car to them a few times but the last time left a bad taste in my mouth. While I think they are fine mechanics, I do not like how the owner keeps trying to sell me on expensive services that my car does not need. Every time I brought my car in, she would push me to take them. I understand that she is trying to make a living, so I do not mind her asking but if I say no than should be the end of it. The last time I was there in December she was kind enough to look at my vehicle in a emergency situation. The engine O2 sensor was faulty and causing the car to go into limp mode. Well it took them two days to replace it and an oil change.They also conveniently found a host of other issues, that they did not find during the complete care inspection they preformed when I first brought the car into the shop a few months earlier. She wanted to replace the muffler and most of exhaust system even though it was replaced four years ago. She did allow me to use their shop car one day so I did not have to use a rental car. read more

After my car battery had died in the middle of a snow storm, I knew it was in need of a new one. Having a problem of car shops upselling and spotty service, I took to yelp for guidance. After reading the positive reviews about Larson's I decided to give it a try and brought it in for my new battery and figured I would probably need an oil change or a tune up -$250 tops, right? Wrong. After reading through a laundry list of fluid flushes, cleaning filters, cleaning gunk and other "optional" services I was told that it would be $800! But i was told if I put the money in that it was a good car and everything else looked perfect. So I figured lets get it what it needs, bite the bullet and pay to have it ready to go for the long run. Two days later my car still has trouble starting, still is clicking before finally engaging and turning on and I am left little better than where I started. So after giving a call, they tell me that they'll be happy to look at it again and can see if it needs another part that they can order. Excuse me? I just paid $800 and was told the car was good to go and now you're saying I can buy another part if it needs it? No thanks. Update: as of today, two weeks after I paid to have it all fixed, my car once again will not start. I will not be returning to Larson's and would not recommend to anybody. read more

Been going here for over two years now, friendly , honest service ... I like how they remember your name. They take the time to go over everything that was done and show you what parts came out. Also recently they had suggested that I check with my local dealer to see if a certain engine code was covered rather then just telling me it needed to be fixed and charging me...thankfully it was covered saving me a ton of money. read more

This is definitely the best garage experience I've ever had. The owner serves you hot chocolate and the technicians show you the parts they had to replace. The price was right on the nose, and when they realized I was on a budget, they prioritized the safety features and told me what could wait and how long. **Stay Away from Larsons** This place is horrible. I know nothing about cars and unfortunately got robbed. $1,200 later the problem wasn't fixed. Simple/routine stuff for someone that has a clue what they are doing. I ended up at a relative's mechanic a few weeks after with persisting problems. He said not only did Larsons miss a bunch of things that were attributing to the problem, I was overcharged. I haven't decided if I'm going to report them to the BBB yet. I can't say enough good things. Every once in a while someplace lives up to your expectations It's rare but it happens. This is that kind of place. From the first phone call to picking up my van it was exactly what I was hoping for. They take the time to explain what they are doing and take the time to show you the parts they replaced. I used Larson's several times for our car while we lived in Peabody. I was mostly pleased with them until the last time we used them. I made the mistake of telling them we were moving and boy did we get taken! We wanted a tune up and our car had been making a funny noise when we were stopping. We asked them to take a look and they said they knew what the problem was, they were going to fix it for us and we'd be fine. I noticed as I was driving away later (after paying $400) that the noise was still there. We ended up taking the car back, literally, four times and each time they said they'd fix it- to no avail. The last time they simply said, "the noise will quit when the new part wears down a bit." Needless to say, we moved 3,000 miles away and it still was not "worn down" enough for the noise to quit. My complaint is this- if you don't know the problem, don't steal people's money and pretend it's fixed. Admit you don't know what is causing the issue, give me my money back and send me on my way to find someone who does know what is causing it. I assure you that had they handled it properly, I would have told everyone I know to use them. Instead, I'm here- writing this review. read more
