We spent some time late morning the next day on August 16 2020 in downtown CDA. Stopped here to buy a truckers hat of the CDA official emblem since I've seen people down in Treasure Valley wear CDA apparel from time to time. It was $30 for a hat logo but I've gotten a good and fair use since I've worn it a lot ever since, both down in Treasure Valley and in Southern California visiting loved ones. The staff were good too. Since my birthday was the day prior to visiting their business they willingly gave me a sticker free of charge. I've been wanting to come again someday to CDA on another trip up the Idaho Panhandle like the one I took in the Summer of 2020. Maybe there will be something else I want here. I bought a number of flannel shirts that seemed to come apart at the seams made by a company called Stillwater supply and I just brought in a pair of Lee shorts that I bought a few weeks ago, I could not find the receipt, but one of the women recognized me and said "I remember when you were here buying these". I'm also wearing a shirt and another pair of shorts that I bought there. I just wanted to exchange the one pair of shorts because the button fell off after the first wash and without a receipt they wouldn't do it, so they've lost my business. I will no longer shop there, like I said before, some of the other clothing I've purchased there comes apart at the seams and I'm just kind of tired of it. I will shop elsewhere from now on. But Rhonda, the manager, has decided that children running through the store flailing cat toys is Acceptable behavior and that a well controlled, obedient dog who barks at such visual stimulation is not welcome in such a farm store. Prioritizing unruly children while asking a dog barking and wagging his tail was enough but for Rhonda to continue to label my long time customer pup as aggressive to the shock of her staff was enough to lose me as a customer forever. If they wants kids to scream and dogs to be silent, maybe don't allow pets in the store. Rhonda is a dark spot on this business and will surely cause other customers to see what homesteaders truly stands for. I have supported them through the pandemic and supply shortages and huge price inflation to support local. But no more. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere where they care about you, your farm, your dollar, and most of all, your loyalty.

I apparently made a tactical error when I tested out the men's cedar and bourbon cologne bottle ($40) marked 'tester' on the outside. I thought it smelled great but the helpful associate was quick to tell me how I shouldn't have tested it, much less inside, much less so much (1 spray) because I needed to understand how potent it was and how inconsiderate to use it in the store and not taking it outside to test (isn't that theft once you leave the store with it?) because people have allergies and with all the smoke... apparently I'm a jerk. I apologized, commented that I must have missed the (nonexistent) sign, put back my merchandise, and left.
