Larson waste was a good dependable trash service, after selling out to Waste Management it got to be a total joke. 1/2" of snow and no show, no credit because of missed pickup. Was told to put container out by curb and extra bags next to it! Living in a rural area with dogs and wild animals cruising about made a lot of sense. Working out of town and disabled wife at home, Larson use to roll out trash to curb and return to house as a curtsey . After WM took over the prices jumped and even started charging a $13+ fuel fee! The curbside service was $12.50 a week extra, even with me taking the full container to the curb. All the driver had to do was return it 25 feet back to house. Tried to cancel the curbside service and of course many hours on the phone and then had to be transferred at which point either got disconnected or message came on to do it on the website, and then disconnected again.$103 a month for a 96 gallon trash container. Nealy impossible to contact this company and on hold for over one to two hours tying to cancel service. Finally did a chat and when when requesting a Live Chat as soon as I mentioned cancelling service I would get no response and have to do it all over again! Finally got the service canceled and went to TBS $27 a month paid every two months, half the price of WM and no stupid fuel fee! Avoid Waste Management at all costs! Sold out to Waste Management, and INSTANTLY everything sucks. I want nothing to do with WM, they're as shady as they come. Trying to "cancel" with a company I never had any service with is made as difficult as possible. Shame on Larsons for selling out. They can either come and get their can, because I'm never paying another dime, or I can take it to the waste transfer station and chuck it there. read more

I've lived in many states, many communities...and I never noticed the garbage company until I moved into my home in Snowflake. 6 years and nothing has changed. I first called larson 6 years ago when I first moved to the area, it took them 2 days to return my call and by that time I had contracted with waste management. She got aggravated and said "I am the only in the office that's why I am calling from my home (it was 9pm) tonight. I told her your company's administrative short cummings are not the customers problem, she said HUH and hung up. I am only recounting this event because I am considering changing providers which are limited in my area so I called them yesterday to get a quote, it has been more than 24 hours and am not expecting this encounter to be any better. read more

First the girl answering the phone did not know answers to basic questions related to cost. Nor did she know if they "serviced our area" despite there being several Larson dumpsters just down the road from us and up the road, which was pointed out to her. If you're answering the phone for a business, you should know basic information. Unfortunately, she had to place me on hold to ask someone. (note: I have called before) Second, their monthly pickup for a single service is completely outrageous! Granted, we are rural but they don't need to drive miles to our location. Much cheaper to buy a couple of cans and haul to the transfer station once per month ourselves. I guess when you're the only game in town, you can dispense with professionalism and customer service. read more

Ok, so some might think me a bit "foolish" for getting online to boast about a trash company, but....I am gonna do it anyway. :) It has been a long time since experiencing customer service at this level from ANY "big business", so gotta give kudo's as I have experienced the opposite with one of the "larger" more well known companies. After several major blunders when trying to get a can from this other company I called Larson and they brought one the next day. :) New to this mobile home park I heard conflicting stories about which side of the street to put the can so the truck could grab it. I called Larson and asked where I should leave it and they informed me to just leave it in front of my house, that if it needs to be moved, the driver will get out and move it. Really???? :) So things have gone along well in the last two months, but still...nothing to really warrant me taking the time to publicly review them, just sort of a "word of mouth" kind of thing. Now it's Wednesday (trash day) and I happen to be going to work later on this particular day and hadn't put the can out yet. I honestly never knew what time the driver showed up since I am normally gone very early. When I heard the truck I hustled out there to get the can to the street, he patiently waited, and when I apologized and said "I didn't know what time he came" he responded by saying "no worries, I would have got it for you if it wasn't out." AND I BELIEVED HIM!!! Yes, they may be a few bucks more than these "big idiots" running around in green trucks. :).....but I love them and their serious commitment to service. My life is busy enough to be dealing with billing issues, rude behaviors, and customer service that requires a list of prompts before you even get a live person no where near my area. If you need trash services, I strongly recommend Larson Waste. For the record I do not work for them nor am I even affiliated with one employee over there...they just impressed the hell out of me and they should know that some of us still appreciate great customer service! Actually they now provide the two dumpsters we have at my job in a fast paced restaurant...."the boss" got tired of the big corporate BS too! :) read more

Horrid company. They came in all razzle dazzle to Payson, AZ. Tons of social media commercials, joining the chamber of commerce and all. Then dumped our town to take on more business in Snowflake. Yet did not even have the professional courtesy to tell any of their customers or employees that they were bailing at the end of the month, July, and did NOT intend to do so. You know, so customers could get a different service and employees could get a new job to provide for their families. And no I am neither a customer nor employee of theirs. Rather an advocate for my community. AVOID THESE SHADY PEOPLE. When customers or employees asked about if they were really shutting down, they were addressed in a rude, crude, unprofessional manner. DO NOT USE THEM! You have been warned. read more

Poor communication in the front office. No trash pick up the Christmas week. Go to another provider if possible. They said the roads were bad and they have been clear all week. They expect to be paid on time but they don't do their end of the bargain on time. read more

We are out at the Y HWY area, every time it rains this Company thinks they can't pick up our garbage, many times our roads out here are clear but no pick up. We are getting very upset with this company. read more

Great drivers. Rude management. I paid my bill for three months in advance and they had the nerve to show I had a balance due. They said they raised the rate by $3 per month after I prepaid so, I had a balance due. I would have thought that paying in advance would count for something, but. . . no. Then after they raised the rate, the cut the service interval to 50%. I wish I could supply my customers half of what I promised and charge them more, but I can't do that. Strange. read more

I have been using Larson Waste since 1997. I have always received great service at a fair price. Mistakes do happen. Once they picked up my container and took it away by mistake thinking that I was the customer that had canceled my service. I was not. I called them and they immediately brought a new container back and apologized for the error. One time, on their own, they saw that a commercial container that I had rented was full and the pickup date was still days away. They came and emptied my container. They never said a word to me, they didn't charge me extra, they just saw a need and fulfilled it. They are good people. They run an honest business. Things can and do happen as with any business but overall the employees and the owners are good people who are providing a good service. Thank you Larson Waste, I appreciate your service. One of the most reliable and friendly companies in the White Mountains. I use them for weekly trash pickup - always on time, my driver will hop out of her truck and pick up anything that falls out of the can, and one time she noticed I had some trash on my deck waiting to be placed in the can once it was emptied - she actually asked me if I wanted to put it in the can after she emptied it so I would have plenty of room for the upcoming week. She was actually willing to wait 5 minutes for me to fill it and run it back to the street. I guarantee my driver from Republic in the Valley would never in a million years have done that. I also used them for a 30 yard dumpster when we did a remodel project - showed up as scheduled, dropped exactly where I needed it and picked it up on time as promised. I called for waste services. I asked about biweekly services that other neighbors have. I was told that they don't offer that service. Went on their website and it shows that they do. I called them and was told that the website was wrong. They should remove or update their web before stopping services. read more

After years of satisfactory service with this company I encountered a problem. Rather than picking up the can on the last Friday of the month (as usual) they will now rotate the dates. Both the receptionist and the manager were less than helpful (or even polite.) They show little interest or concern for their customers. I will be looking at alternatives. read more
