Great place to have your boat serviced. I have been here multiple times and have always been treated fairly with price and service.

Sacramento State Aquatic Center - Plenty of Kayaks.

Sacramento State Aquatic Center

Heaven for watersport lovers!!…read more This is the nicest and biggest aquatic rental facility in the Sacramento area. Parking: $10 if you don't rent their equipment, with plenty of spaces in the complex. Otherwise, you can park for "free" at the State Park area if you have the Golden Poppy Annual Pass ($125). The park also has plenty of picnic tables and a small beach area for sunbathing. Restrooms: Women's (5 stalls), Men's (5 stalls), plus 2 unisex restrooms. There are plenty of rental options, including single/tandem kayaks, SUP boards, and canoes. If you are in a group, all renters must sign in at the same time because the rental period starts once you sign in. They also have CREW and CANOE clubs! All rentals must be returned by 8 PM or you may be fined. No cycling or weight training on the premises, but there is a basketball court on the side. All life jackets, equipment, and docks were clean and in good condition. The payment line moves quickly. If possible, print the waiver at home to save time. You also need to create an account on their website before they can place your order; otherwise, you'll need to create one on the spot when purchasing tickets. After purchasing, you leave your driver's license and car key with them. There is a 15-minute courtesy buffer deducted from your total rental time for walking to the dock, restroom breaks, setup, etc. Service: friendly and efficient. If you change your mind: for example, from a SUP board to a kayak: they simply call the front desk and let you switch at the dock. Lake Natoma is perfect for kayaking or paddleboarding because it starts wide and gradually narrows. The current is almost nonexistent until around 4 PM. It's about 2 miles to the small island near Willow Creek Recreation Area, which makes a perfect scenic picnic spot.

It was $15 an hour, we paid $1 more for the seat back, well worth it! The dock masters were friendly and helped us into the vessels. A beautiful day. There was a lot of dock traffic as the students were coming in and out practicing. So when you come back it takes a bit of navigating. The dock masters were no where to be found so I got out first and helped my two mates. A great, mellow spot to kayak.

Firstly, Morrison Marine deserves 10+ stars instead of 5. I…read morepicked up a gently used '10 Malibu LSV in late April that was very well taken care of. The prior owner however put some marine putty on an area on the transom that I was concerned about and wanted professionally fixed, as well as some oxidation on the hull and a small cosmetic chip in the bow to name a few. I did some serious research and reached out to several shops that can supposedly do this, but Morrison-Marine had stellar five star only reviews dating back as far as over 10 years ago. I contacted Oswaldo and he quickly got back to me with a generalized quote and that he could help me. Him and his team were able to get me in right away thankfully, even with the peak boating season approaching. I traveled over 300 miles round trip to take my boat to him which included a trip there in a freak May heavy rainstorm. He greeted me promptly and told me I was in good hands and he'll take it from there. Through the whole process him and his team kept me updated through excellent communication and pictures and I genuinely appreciated his honesty. Fixing the chips and gelcoat/fiberglass wasn't an issue, it was just that matching the color was going to be the hardest part he explained and that it'll take time. He also discovered some other areas that could use attention that came to light but he also was very honest in his recommendations which was refreshing to hear. He reached out to me asking if it was okay if they cut the "green seal" I had on because that was the only way to fix my boat and put it on blocks. He was so kind to also write on the invoice stating that the seal was intact upon arrival to his shop and that they had to cut it and signed the paper too(just in case anything gets questioned when I launch again). I also forgot to bring the LSV emblem on the back the previous owner took off and I was able to send it to him through the mail. They got me in and out just in time for Memorial Weekend and my first trip with my new boat. I also ordered some factory decals from Malibu for the sides and his team, Joe and Beto generously applied them and were so patient with my "perfectionist brain" and making sure they were perfect and straight . They spent some serious time doing that and helping me. When I picked up the boat my jaw hit the floor. It looked like a brand new boat! Everything was perfect. You couldn't see anything that was previously wrong, the color was perfect and the boat was so nice and polished that my cover kept sliding off as I was trying to put it on when I got home. I also ran into an issue with my trailer not related to his work and called Oswaldo for help. He answered his phone greeting me by my name and explained what likely happened and how to fix it and sent me a link for the part I needed. He truly goes out of his way to help his customers! Morrison Marine will definitely have my business for as long as I have a boat, and I will absolutely recommend him to all my boat friends and people looking for marine repair. Oswaldo, Joe, Beto and MM Team...THANK YOU!!! Do not go anywhere else for your marine gel coat/fiberglass repair! The entire Morrison Marine team and Oswaldo truly care about their customers and it shows in their exceptional and detailed work and excellent reviews and recommendations.

Hope it helps! Entrance is accessible from Greenback Ln with $10 fee required per vehicle. 2 Parking lots available - 1 closer to boat launch area and another further lot that's more convenient for picnic areas and tables. Plenty of tables and area for lots of families to enjoy some water festivities! Have a big party or just want to lock down a few tables? Highly advise to come early. If you just need some space to place your mats down, it should be just fine. Incredible trails alongside the water for walking, jogging, and bike riding. Dogs are welcome but just make sure you pick up after them (I noticed a good number of dog poop near the water edge). Want to take a dip? Feel free! Quite cold but more than welcome to. Biggest reason why we came here? To see how the Kayak Rental system worked. Scan the QR code or visit the site to book your rentals and sign waivers. I was told they rented daily by a worker (young ones) but their online reservations just show weekends and random Wednesdays.. so good luck. Honestly Rental prices are higher than another spot we've been to, but this spot was much closer to home and easier to access. Price for convenience! We didn't go kayaking on this particular day but definitely plan to return with our own paddle board/Kayaks since it just makes sense to invest and go whenever we want versus rent a few kayaks with high rental feels. Who wants to return within 1 hr?! No way, you gotta stay out in the midst of nature for at LEAST a few hours! Pathway Tip: Walking or jogging? Stay on your left. Biking? Stay on your right. Standard Placer County rules. Great spot for families whether you want to picnic, swim, paddleboard, kayak, go for a nice walk, jog, or bike along gorgeous river waters scenery. Have fun!!

Nothing super exciting in this review, just one of those peaceful days you appreciate more as you get older lol. Now fair warning... that water is COLD cold when you first step in but once you're out there it's worth it. Even the ducks were just cruising around being friendly and minding their business. Mello Marine - Wake surfing boards of all kinds

I felt this way about Mello so I wanted to share my experience in this review and hope others give them a chance and come away feeling the same way I did. I stumbled upon this place during my search for a used wake surf boat. They were listing a used Calabria boat that I went to go check out. We were greeted by the owner Sally and we got to talking about wake surf boats in general. She spent about 30-45 min with us talking about her history, wake surf boats and telling us about the Centurion boats that she sells. Since I had never owned a wake surf boat before she gave us some really good info and insight into what makes a good surf boat and why Centurion was one of the top manufacturers. We left knowing we had to do more research which I did. Fast forward a year later, I ended up getting a used centurion wake surf boat. My point is I would have never thought about a Centurion boat until speaking with Sally, and we really appreciated her time and knowledge on the subject. We certainly don't have new boat money but we never felt dismissed or judged or made to feel less important because we weren't there looking at new boats. We also never felt like Sally was pushing us to Centurion or a specific direction. She was certainly highlighting why she felt the Centurion boats were the best, but I did my own research and eventually came to the same conclusion. I felt like the Centurion boats were high quality builds and they were the ones that started the whole wake surf boat build. I just recently dropped off my boat to Mello Marine to have them service it and add some features to it. It's not the closest shop (2 hrs away) but it's the one I felt most comfortable with and trusted. I first spoke with Luke who was great and helpful on the phone and I have since been dealing with Ricky. Everyone I have encountered at Mello Marine has been great, helpful, courteous, and professional. I have been genuinely impressed and pleased in all my interactions with this family run operation. So far, I have had great experiences with this shop and I have no doubt it will continue. I like to say Sally brought us back to Mello. Ricky made sure we're staying with Mello. To all the good people at Mello, keep up the good work and thank you!
