They called the very next morning saying they could send out a tech because he was near us. Tech showed up 5 minutes after the call, and checked everything out crawling all over under the house. We have been using A&D for 10 years to keep our now 20 year old Geothermal system running. During…read morethat time we had to have some parts replaced such as the blower motor and water circulation pumps and the old girl was starting to show her age. Last Fall I bought a new high efficiency 5 ton unit from a manufacture /supplier and Dan, Jen and the crew installed it over a two day period. Problems inherent to the unit materialized immediately but Dan worked very hard to get the unit running in heat mode well enough to get us through last winter without a hitch. This involved having to troubleshoot the unit, talk with the manufacture then return to fit parts supplied under warranty. Then the days started getting warmer again. The unit just would not cool correctly. A number of service visits and calls to the manufacture ensued until there service department at the manufacture's factory declared the TXV defective and supplied a new valve and filter which Dan had to install by brazing it into the lines after he had cut the old units out. This was a big job; the refrigerant had to be recovered, the parts installed, the system vacuumed down and then recharged. This seems to have corrected our cooling problems and we are back to having full AC after only having about 75% cooling during the worst of this summer. The labor was not covered by the manufacture and Dan covered us out of his own pocket under his company's 1 year full warranty. You just do not get this sort of service from most companies today. If you need plumbing, heating, air conditioning, heat pump including geothermal heat pump installation or service you will not find a better company or people. Thank you guys, P&D

On top of that there was a problem with mold under the house. Once I had that remediated Enviro-Air came out and got to work on the ducts. The job they did was amazing. It took them several hours and they were thorough both before and after the job as they cleaned up after themselves. They took plenty of before and after pictures of the ducts to show what they accomplished and it's a night and day difference in what the ducts looked like. To think we were breathing all of that stuff in. Yikes! I suffer terrible allergies as well, so all that dust couldn't have been good for them. People usually don't think about general home maintenance on things they don't see, such as water heaters and air ducts, but don't neglect these things because you'll be sorry if you do and the piece of mind you will have knowing you are sleeping in a safe environment is priceless! Thank you very much Enviro-Air. You guys did an awesome job!

I had three different companies in Springfield come out and provide quotes. The Jon Wayne Heating and Air quote for a new Train unit was right in line with one other companies quote for the same equipment. I am a real researcher before a big purchase kind of guy, so I pretty much knew what I needed and the brands that were going to meet those needs before I even had one guy out. All that was left was convincing me who to use. The third company tried to sell me on a unit I didn't want so was out of the running right there. I was pleased that all of the different companies were similar in prices, but Jon Wayne Heating came recommended from a friend who used to work in the business. The owner himself came out, and I didn't feel like I just had some slick salesman working me over. He listened to my questions and was able answer them immediately and took the time to go over everything in detail. They also handled any City Utilities tax breaks and Train rebates so I didn't have to worry about that. On the day of the install the guys came out on time, were thoroughly professional and had the new system up and running without any issues. Before they left I inspected everything closely myself and asked a few questions which they were happy to answer. I have a great new system installed at a more than reasonable price in my opinion but to be honest the big selling point wasn't the price, it was the professionalism of the company that won me over.

My 22-year-old home's furnace and air conditioner needed to be replaced but I was unsure both about what brand of equipment to purchase and the company that should install it. A May, 2012, YouTUbe video by Consumer Reports helped identify the brand and, after inviting four different Heating/Cooling company representatives to my home, I identified which one would likely do the best install. From reading reviews on the Internet I knew that, even if the equipment was high quality, a poor installation could ruin everything. For me, then, it was clear that I needed quality equipment that would be properly installed. SS&B provided both. Several of my neighbors had the same brand of equipment and were very satisfied with its performance. Several had also used SS&B for their heating and air conditioning needs and were very happy with their work. Unlike the other three heating/cooling company representatives, the representative from SS&B spent a long time in my home asking about my heating/air-conditioning needs, carefully measuring the size of my home and how many square feet of window faced each direction, examining my crawl space (finding numerous leaks in my venting - a problem no other company even bothered to look for) and looked in my attic to determine the condition of my cold-air returns and the approximate R (insulating) value of my home's insulation. I got quite an education as we discussed the various types and sizes of furnaces and air conditioners. I settled on the one that would be best for me and within a week my old system was removed and my new system was installed. The installation took only 8 hours and the two men sent to do the work were skilled, focused, polite and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend SS&B to anyone with heating and/or air conditioning needs.
