Matt Larson is an experienced and talented electrician; he does outstanding work including great customer service. I had him three years ago replace/fix a remote control 9 foot height ceiling fan that shorted out. I thought I would have to replace the whole fan but it turned out the wall wiring was the problem; the fan itself was fine. Matt re-worked the wiring and replaced the switch mechanism...great problem-solver and saved me the cost of replacing the whole large room expensive fan. So when I had a need for an electrician again yesterday/today he was the first and only person I called. I had hit something in my garage wall when trying to install a bike rack that caused a "gunshot"/extremely loud and scary "bang" when using my electric drill. I was afraid I might have hit an electrical box or hot wire. Matt did a complete diagnostic and luckily determined that my electric drill caused the unsettling "bang" when I drilled into one or more nails in the stud where it crossed other lumber pieces. Gratefully I did not drill into an electrical or TV cable line. His slogan of "Piece of mind...it's a big deal" is definitely applicable here. Now I can sleep at night knowing that my mess up won't cause a wall fire. Last comment is that his pricing is reasonable and response time appropriate to the problem situation or project request. Matt completed a job a lot of other electrical contractors said would be difficult. I had the BBQ island installed after I had put in pavers and ran a conduit for the electric wiring. Others said they couldn't fish the electric wiring through the 3/4" pipe that was installed under the pavers with at least 3 bends and approximately 75' from an existing outlet on the side of my house. Matt came over and fished the wiring, installed 4 outlets in the BBQ island and hooked everything up! True and honest professional. I had an electrical issue at my home that was pretty scary. Your not supposed to smell burning wires when you flip the switch! Matt was great and fit me in his busy schedule. He has 5 stars for a reason so be patient. In my case I told him it wasn't an emergency as I just kept the power off to that room. He found that my switch had some issue and was never grounded! He could smell the burning as soon as he removed the switch. He made a trip to Lowe's then Homedepot because he wanted to make sure to find a switch that looked as close to the original as possible. He also checked a couple of other things I added on which gave me peace of mind. Matt is courteous, he cleaned up all debris and charged a fair price for the work done.
