Highly recommend this business!! Though I had a very small job, John was willing to fix my tenants humidity switch in the bathroom. Because we don't live near the property it can be challenging finding someone trustworthy who won't take advantage of you since you're not close by. I got quotes on troubleshooting a dead circuit from several electricians. John at AMP was the only one who responded by attempting to help me out in advance (for free) by asking if I had tried checking the GFCIs, looked at the breaker for loose connections, etc. Everyone else just wanted to come out and get going at their hourly rate. Since I had already done all the things he suggested, I scheduled time for him to come out. He kept in communication, letting me know he was leaving his previous appointment and updating me on his ETA. He was on time, cheerful and even made friends with my dog who is usually wary of strangers. He explained the different things he was checking and showed me what he was up to every step of the way. When he found the problem (within about 30 minutes), he explained it to me thoroughly so I would know what to look for if the same thing ever occurs again. Had a great first experience from them. Second experience not good. Totally unreliable. I spoke with John (twice!) to have him call my tenant to set up an appointment. Weeks went by before he finally contacted tenant to set up the appointment, only to have him no-show for the appointment. John came out after closing time because he was in the area finishing another job. He took his time and changed out a GFI plug. I had been having trouble with it tripping. Normally it isn't so serious but I have a fridge and a freezer on the plug. I had tried everything I knew to do. Out of frustration I called AMP, after trying to contact other electricians. John answered his phone right away. I explained my issue and he said he would be there in 30 minutes; he was. In less than an hour John helped me out. John did diagnostics on other plugs and my panel box; very thorough. My problem isn't completely solved as yet but John is going to come back and help me fix the final issue we have narrowed it down to. He didn't charge me the full price the first visit and when he comes out again he will apply the amount I paid to what he will be fixing on his next visit. John is very professional yet friendly; a good combination for a business man in my view. He explained everything he was doing and didn't talk down to me. I, being a woman, truly appreciate that. This company shines. My first contact with John was on the phone when he tried to save us money by helping us get our electricity back on. Later we had an issue with our pool pump.
