It was kind of a specialty car so I continued maintenance through the dealer until one day she died. AAA only covered towing a few miles so i immediately thought of this place. Unfortunately it being a specialty car and it being a major engine issue they didnt feel comfortable with fishing around for the issue. The mechanic kindly spoke to the AAA tower so they would give me a second tow without charge. For all those people who think mechanics make stuff up to get paid they could have done hours of exploratory work and charged me an arm and a leg for it. But they didnt. Needless to say the dealership wanted $7000 to fix so I ended up getting a new car. And so now Im back using Woodies! I scheduled an apt online which is more of a request. They call you back and set the actual time. I had a synthetic oil change, state inspection and tire rotation completed in an hour for under $100! You cant beat that!

Every place I called gave quotes from $3000 to $4000 and told me it would be a week for the work to be completed. Mike explained to me the owner is a transmission expert and most of the cars the come in to their shop with transmission problems do not need a total rebuild. I liked what he said and made an appointment. I came in for my appointment at 9:00 am the next day. Joe took my car for a test drive. After about 15 minutes He came to the waiting room and told me he could fix my transmission for $850 and he could have it ready for me that evening. All I needed was a rebuilt transmission computer. I picked my car up the next day and it drove like it did when it was new. I saved over $2000 and didn't need to rent a car. I'm actually in their shop now having my wife's brakes checked out.

After changing jobs to a place far away from where I used to work I knew I'd have to find a local-ish place for the routine car work I'd end up needing since I drive so much. I originally called them for a tire replacement and they didn't have one in. Being that I needed it quickly as the sidewall had blown out I went to a different place with one in stock. They were nonetheless very friendly with me and asked that I keep hem in mind for the future. Well I kept them in mind and I've been twice now for oil changes and tire rotations. They also add air as needed to make sure your tires are inflated appropriately. At my last visit they checked my brakes out and said they might need replacing in about 5-7,000 miles. They weren't in a hurry just to sell me some brakes and take my money and were absolutely polite and humble when I said I'd be sure to give them a call when it was time for the oil change and brake overhaul. Both times I came in they seemed a bit worried that they wouldn't have the time to fit me in. But honestly every time I drop by they're dead empty and I almost worry that they don't have enough work to keep them open. They still have always been happy to work me in even when they're "busy". Of course for brakes I will have to call in advance. PS: They are practically run by a husband and wife duo team. The wife does all the book keeping and handles the phone calls and inquiries. She seems to really have her head about her with the business. The husband does the heavy lifting along with help from at least one other guy. He really seems to know his stuff and speaks with authority about car maintenance. If you want a good, honest explanation about the problems you're having the two of them are an unbeatable pair. With 40 years in the business why would anyone be surprised?
