Poor business practices are my biggest complaint. Office does not return calls. Charged me over $1000 up front for a crown that ultimately failed, and frankly never even fit right even after multiple visits to adjust and two outside consults completed in order to work to resolve my pain. Office would not promptly reimburse me once insurance paid its portion. Had to file grievance against the office via the insurance after poor response from their front office staff. Dentist who did the work is no longer there, and while he would have likely tried to fix matters yet again perhaps unsuccessfully still, the office will not even return my calls now. I missed so much work trying to fix this crown that has ultimately fallen out in less than two years time! A crown I could not even chew on that entire time because it sat so poorly in my mouth. Look elsewhere for dental care to save yourself some potential agony. read more

When it comes to dental care I expect: 1) To get an honest assessment of the state of my teeth at each dental cleaning, if I like it or not. 2) To be able to trust that I will be told if there is a problem that needs to be taken care of. 3) Be told honestly if something is urgent, or can be taken care of in an year, or can go on the wait and watch list ("take better care of that tooth in the meantime"). 4) Never be told to do stuff that is not really necessary. 5) Be taken serious when showing up with a bad tooth ache and helped until we have figured out what is causing it (which can be something other than a tooth issue). 6) Handle the insurance stuff, especially when problems arise with the insurance. Our whole family has been seeing Dr. Tabor's office for two decades, and he truly deserves five stars. read more

This is one of the WORSE places I've ever been to I went for a regular cleaning everything was done so roughly and then to finish it off usually past places I've gone to check with my Humana so explain what my payment will be this place just kept telling me to come im went about 2-3 times for cleanings and somehow got a bill of over 1,000 and then They tried to give me a due date not even 10 days within getting the letter this place is a straight up SCAM if you truly want go service find a better place horrible and my teenagers also hated the service and lack of knowledge all they dar about is taking every last penny out your pocket read more

I love this place! As a child our dentist only seem to have 2 tools. One was a hammer, and the other was a bigger hammer and he seemed to no care about inflicting pain. Consequently, as an adult I avoided dentists for a bit over 3 decades. Dr. Tabor is awesome. My delay of dental care for so many years has caused many, many problems and other dentists wanted to pull most or all of my teeth. However, Dr. Tabor has helped me retain as much as possible. I have had a few implants put in and I have kept a surprisingly good amount of my own teeth. Dr. Tabor will inject a pain med in the gums and give it a few minutes to let it take effect. Small things such as that make a huge difference. Victoria does my quarterly cleanings and is absolutely terrific. I believe she is also a DDS. Once again, Victoria seems to make patient comfort a priority. One more item of importance, Dr. Tabor has extremely good dental assistants. Tiffany was his assistant for years but left. Sam (Super Sam) arrived and is every bit as competent and caring. A great dentist without a great support staff can have some of that greatness negated. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Dr. Tabor. You will not regret it. read more

I wish I found this dental office years ago. Dr. Larry Tabor and everyone in his office are amazing. They are friendly and professional. I was without a dentist after moving and had a crown fall off. After looking through my insurance site for a dentist I found Dr. Tabor's office was the closest to me. I made an appointment and they were able to see me right away. I went in and they fixed my crown with no pain. I then set up a evaluation appointment and a cleaning appointment. I appreciate that at every appointment I have had so far they take the time to explain everything they are doing and why. They also do what is best for me and nothing unnecessary. When putting my crown back on they could have cut away the gums that had started to overgrow ( my fault, I waited to long to make an appointment after the crown had fallen off) instead they did a less invasive technique that might have taken a bit longer but was less painful and less expensive. I am so happy to have found such a wonderful dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Tabor's office. read more

Dr. Tabor is an amazing dentist. He's caring and thoughtful. He also does a lot of work for people who can't afford dental care down in Mexico. My wisdom teeth has been bothering me for sometime now and I came in for a ct scan. Dr. Tabor wasn't in the office but he called to make sure that everything was in place and that I get the best care while I was there. I'm in the medical field so I know first hand how compassion and kindness gets forgotten. And everything but money making gets blurry. But honestly if everybody in the medical field was as caring as Dr. Tabor, health care reform in America would not be an issue. Oh and his staff are just wonderful. Hands down the best dental team I have ever met. I severely damaged my front teeth and my teeth were on the verge of falling out. I am attending an out of town wedding this weekend. By far Dr. Tabor is one of the most informative dentist I have worked with. He explains the service needed and how oral health works in a way a child can understand. NOW.....front office Melinda is an entirely different thing. I called to make a payment and gave my name up front. She immediately says okay go with ur payment info without a run down of the amount and services to conclude we are on the same page. I had to ask for confirmation of the balance due before giving my information and I am glad I did based on what happened next. I was inquiring why the bill was so much higher than the estimate originally given and she was giving dates of time I was not in office and confirmed the name of someone completely different. Remember... I gave my name at the beginning of the call. Let me also advise I had to proactively ask which method I would get a receipt of payment. Had I not that would not have been disclosed. Melinda then tells me she will need to pull info from back logged paperwork and will call me back. I said okay and she was ready with a goodbye. I advised I work on the phones for a living and asked how long should I expect to wait so I can balance that time with my schedule. Melinda advised she did not know and it would not be today. Before disconnecting that is something she should have disclosed but instead she left me with the impression she would look this up and get back to me. I asked what time tomorrow can I expect a call. THE BIG BOOM... she advised they are closed on Friday. So at no time was she going to advise it will be a minimum 4 days before I hear from her WHICH IS CALLED SETTINGTHE EXPECTATION.... wait...,wait for it.... "THAT IS REAL SHITTY SERVICE!!!!." I will follow up with you to let u know if I get my call. I will not give bad stars ratings for "one pimple on the booty"...... 2 words. Customer service. My lengthy review says it all BUT I like the Doc so much I will try there again. I work in a customer service driven field. It is not enough to fix my mouth. Give good customer service so I don't have to put my mouth on you ..Wednesday of following week. Waited 6 days and Melinda advised she was busy and had not begun pulling my info and she wouldn't be able to get back with me until 4/16/19. So one has to wait approximately 12 (2 weeks) for information on services rendered. Speechless. I asked was she the only person I could speak with and she advised yes. BEWARE!!!!!!! I will schedule at least 1 more cleaning cuz I wanna speak to the Doctor. That's just how I do things. read more

I love this Office! Dr. Tabor is a very caring Dentist. His back office staff is awesome! I went to him because I had finally made a decision to replace my bridge work with implants. He took x-rays and a ct scan and went over the intire proceedure with me explaining throughly the pros and cons on my situation. Apparently the longer you wait to have an implant placed the less likely you have the bone for placing an implant fixture.. but there is bone graft and other options. I have never had anything but a good experience at this facility. It is clean, welcoming, friendly, warm, and the employee's there are amazing. I have had a few extractions and some fillings there. I have been coming here since I was a small child and have always loved the Dentists and Hygenists here. Dr. Tabor is great, and Victoria is amazing as well. I am now bringing my own children to this office, after a short stint at a different dentist where we lived temporarily. My only negatives are on the administrative end...I have seen people in these positions come and go and now it seems there isn't a front desk person anymore. Maybe this is why the billing person seems to be so far behind and never in a good mood...she's doing the work of 2 people! I recently reccomended this office to a family member, and due to a misunderstanding, she had to come in two days in a row to get a cleaning because they didn't schedule a hygenist to be there on her first visit. This left me embarassed at the reccomendation... I'd give this review another star if the administrative end of things was better. I hope things improve soon...I don't want to look for a new dentist. read more

Dr. Tabor is truly a great Dentist. I saw him in Castro Valley after my dentist Ruth reccomended that I see him. He removed all four of my wisdom teeth at once which was amazing for me since I only wanted to lose one day off from work. He paid attention to me, and my costs of bills as I am a college student. His assistant was very nice too. They gave me laughing gas and talked about nice subjects while they were performing on my teeth. I would highly reccomend seeing Dr. Tabor in Castro Valley. read more
