Qeema samosas - 9/10 Beek seekh kabob - 9/10 Chicken biryani - 8.5/10 Nihari - 9/10 Kashmiri chai - 8/10 For me personally its hard to find GOOD desi restaurants but this spot was overall great and the prices were also better than other desi restaurants. They had a lot of options and everything we tried was flavorful and delicious. Definitely going back here!

The portions are very small. I called and complained but the owner said the meat melted that's why there is no meat in the Nihari. What kind of BS excuse is that. Not worth buying from this place.

I really enjoyed this spot! I love trying new foods and wanted something traditional South Asian cuisine. Customer service was very nice and fast. Seemed to be family owned. No issues with ordering at all. We were given some house favorites as recommendations and ultimately went with the butter chicken, jasmine rice, yellow curry noodles and the mini samosas. Everything was hot and smelled great. The yellow curry was very spicy but manageable and nothing crazy. Butter chicken was very good. Mostly because of the sauce. I do think the chicken was very condensed and cube like almost manufactured. I doubt it would taste good without the sauce on it. I'd like to see actual chicken in it next time. To go packaging was very nice and they even seran wrapped everything so nothing spilled on the way home. We spent just under $40 with a tip for everything and fully fed three people with some left over. I would say it was a great value. I may return yes!

We went on a 3 course meal food tour and visited 3 new places. Our 2nd stop was Larosh for entrees. We were greeted right away by a very friendly man named Nasir. We stated that we were first time visitors and took his suggestions on what to order. He mentioned how everything is made fresh to order so it would take some time. He was right, you can definitely taste the freshness in the dishes. Typically with traditional Indian curry you have a very pungent taste/smell if the ingredients are not fresh or the protein is not cooked to order... basically the longer that it sits already cooked the stronger it gets. By the taste of all of our food none of it had been premade with the exception of maybe the rice but it was fresh for the day at least and not leftover from previous days. The Shrimp Masala with the spicy sauteed tomato and fresh herbs curry was amazing. The shrimp itself was fresh, cooked to perfection and did not have a refrigerated old flavor at all. The Bombay Karahi is prepared and served in a karahi, a type of wok often used in South Asian cooking. Not only was the presentation beautifully executed but the aroma steaming from it as the food was placed on the table made our mouth water. The chicken breast pieces blended well with the ginger and spices gravy type of sauce. It had a very buttery silky taste that was not overpowering at all by the ginger which is something you are accustomed to when trying a ginger infused dish. The basmati rice was nothing special or out of the ordinary but paired very well with our protein dishes and non the less was cooked well. It was fluffy and tender, not sticky. You could tell they used a bit of turmeric for the added effect of the coloring mixed with the toasted fennel seeds was a nice touch as well. Garlic Naan was warm, fresh and had a semi crispy exterior followed by a fluffy airy interior. It was lightly brushed with what seemed like a melted garlic/butter oil and topped with chopped cilantro. I also ordered a chai tea (not pictured). Absolutely delicious. With main chain restaurants you get the chai tea that is made in bulk meaning it will sit there all day and burn itself, making for a biter tasting tea. This was a fresh cup.. made one at a time. The boiling of the black tea in the milk, water, herbs and spices does take a bit of time, so be patient. You won't be disappointed. Nasir (who we later found out was the owner/chef) took time to speak with us about his culture, years of culinary experimentation and love of creating fresh and amazing dishes. We will 100% absolutely come back and explore more of the freshness.

Chicken Marsala with rice and naan bread

Decent food horrible service Server said it would be 10 minutes ended up being 30 and having to waiting outside. Most Indian food restaurants I to go to give you the rice with the entrée however they make you pay for it here. The chicken Marsala had good flavor but very little chicken. Naan bread was very soggy and almost rubbery.

Listen, I love the tikka masala but it is very greasy. The naan is hit or miss... sometimes they burn it. The reason for the one star... I've now seen roaches in the restaurant on two different occasions. The only reason I went back after seeing the first roach was because it was heading out the front door LOL I was like... maybe it got lost and ended up in here by accident. But today, I went to get my to-go order and there was a roach crawling on the front counter. Very disappointed because I do not hate the food. I will have to find a new spot, because cleanliness is not something I can compromise on. I highly recommend you check your food for bugs.

I ordered lunch from here via Grubhub and was very disappointed with my experience. I ordered the aloo samosa and chicken tikka masala. I called them because I wanted to make sure they would add spice since that wasn't an option on the app. The person on the phone told me that the aloo samosa was out but they could sub for 6 mini samosas. I told them that's fine but I wanted 8 because the 8 piece was the same price as the aloo samosa that I ordered. He argued with me and said that they weren't the same and that it was a 50 cent difference. And I said whatever I'll pay the difference and he said that he couldn't charge me it over the phone. And do you know what I got?? Only 6 minis. Not only did I not get what I wanted but they short changed me and were also quite rude on the phone. In addition the chicken tikka masala had a couple of cubes of chicken. One of the worst I've ever had. Overly greasy, too sweet, and no spice at all. Garlic naan was also meh. Would not recommend

We loved Larosh Grill. This place is an amazing hidden gem! The Tiki Marsala was so good! I loved dipping the naan bread in it! The garlic naan bread was so good we went back for seconds. The Nihari was also incredible! It is a spicy beef curry with an amazing flavor. It had just the right amount of spice!

I live just down the road from this place, but I've never once ordered from here before. Big mistake. This place is absolutely delicious. My partner and I both got the chicken tikka masala and the sauce was absolutely wonderful. I do wish it was spicy. I kind of wish they had the option to make it extra extra spicy. We also got their plain rice with our meals and it was amazing. They cooked the rice with whole cumin seeds, and bay leaves. Which gave the rice a delicious aroma. I got an extra side of chutney and it was so good. I love chutney. My partner has never had it till now and when I looked away he stole both of them. I can't wait to come down here to dine in. I'm absolutely stuffed and have leftovers for tonight.

The food here is very tasty. Always fresh and served in right quantities. It's really a reflection of good home made food. Nasir Bhai is an excellent host at the shop. Please ask for his papri to go. Really fresh and if you store it in an air tight container, it lasts a long time and doesn't lose the freshness. read more

I'm so happy to have stopped by to this amazing gem! Im surprised I never paid attention to this place, considering it's so nearby, and being that I'm a huge fanatic for Indian food! Without further a due: food! I got the Buttered Chicken (8.99) Garlic Naan, Yellow Lentil Curry (3.99), and Paranthana (1.99 each) hopefully I spelled that correctly). Wow! Amazing food, great flavor with compliments to its spice! I recommend getting the buttered chicken if it's your first time testing the waters with Indian food, and don't forget the Garlic Naan (or regular Naan). The owner is lovely and so is his wife! I also strongly recommend to order everything 25 min in advance, wether for dine in or to go, since it took about that amount of time to get my food. Other than the wait, food was great, service amazing, and will be coming back for my Indian cravings :) read more

First time here was really craving chicken biryani and since I was on this side of town. The person who took was order was real nice and wore a mask they make everything fresh to order and it was real good spicy like I like and even the rice was good and had flavor which a lot of times the rice is just bland I will be going here again real soon. read more

Truly the food here is amazing. We visited for Karahi Night (highly recommend) and everything was delicious! The Karahi was hot and fresh along with the sides such as naan or rice which was always fresh and never empty. The service is incredible as well with attentive staff and beautiful business owners. Ordered delivery on their website and almost got scammed. Not sure if it was directly them, but they didn't seem to care when we told them what happened. Secure your website. When we finally got our food and it was all spilled inside the bag, annnnnd to top it off the food made me sick. The 2 stars is cause it was alright in flavor but not worth the nausea or diarrhea. WOW!!!! This food is amazing!! Full of flavor in every bite!! Definitely would recommend to anyone! I am a picky eater but was blown away by their "Signature Sandwich" It was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the Chicken Biryani , the chicken was seasoned to perfection and I was impressed by the portion size. Service was also great. The owner was pleasant and helpful explaining the menu. You can tell he takes pride in his food and it shows. We will be back real soon! Thank you for some of the best food I have ever had. (No exaggeration....this is some good food) read more

A great addition to the Indo- Pak Halaal cuisine of Katy. They are consistently good and have every diverse menu. Their chicken wings are so well grilled and juicy that once you start eating you can not stop nor would you want to share with anyone. Their biryani is a little dry and has too much of artificial essences which they should work on reducing. Overall a good variety of food. And yes their goat pulao is awesome too read more

I recently got a to go order of thier butter chicken with a side of garlic naan and their potato samosas with green chutney. First off their butter chicken was amazing the chicken was super tender and the curry was super flavorful with a hint of sweetness but a punch of the spices. The combination of naan and the sauce in the butter chicken would be enough. The four star was only because the samosas wasnt that great the outer layer was crunchy but the inside was a little hard to chew into usually it should be crunchy and then a soft flavorful filling. But next I'm going to try more main dishes only because the butter chicken was so great. read more

Good food. I love that you can order online. Delivery is always on time so is pick-up/to go. Older Guy at the pick up table is kinda rude though-- that's why I don't go and eat at the actual restaurant. Service might be rude. Otherwise I like the place. read more

One of my favorite dishes is Qeema, I will bypass other Indo-Pak restaurants to go directly to Larosh Grill. The food is amazing and not every Indo-Pak restaurant can prepare Chicken Biryani. The service is wonderful, I would recommend calling ahead or placing an online order because every order is prepared fresh. read more

I ordered the platter so I could taste a bit of everything. The chicken was over tenderize as it became mushy when you bit into it. The beef kafta was dry and lacked seasoning. The rice was fine, nothing to write home.about. The overall price is in line with the quantity and not the quality. The guy retrieving pickup orders was not very attentive or paying attention as my name was on the order but he kept insisting a "business" ordered the platter. read more

Best local Indian food I've had. The butter chicken + basmati rice , naan and gulab jamun was *chef kiss*, I almost called the restaurant to let them know how good it was. I'm stuck in quarantine with covid on my 2nd day (the roughest) so my mom picked up and dropped of my food for me. This food has been the highlight of my quarantine. 10/10 read more

If you love butter chicken, this is the best place to get it!!!!!!my favorite dish from this place. The boiled basmati may sound plain in the menu but it has a delicious flavor and the texture is perfect with the butter chicken. The workers greeted my boyfriend and I with a smile and were very polite, the food took a bit to come out but it was worth the wait, you could tell the food is made fresh which I loved. I was iffy about ordering from here after seeing some bad reviews but I'm a foodie and was really craving Indian food so i ordered on uber eats.. when I tell y'all eating these samosas were orgasmic! so spicy and so delicious. I ordered from Larosh via Uber Eats. Food prep and delivery were quick.... about 30 min total! I ordered the buttered chicken, garlic naan and samosa. It totaled about $15 and it was all delicious! The food was a bit spicy but no complaints. I assumed rice came with the buttered chicken but it didn't. Luckily, I had some leftover rice at home. They should clarify on Uber eats app. I split the food ordered between 3 people. They have large portions... granted we weren't starving. I would go back! read more

Definitely satisfied my craving. I got the Chix Tikka Masala, plain basmati rice, Samosa and garlic naan bread. All very tasty. And plenty of it. The Masala is a bit spicy, but its pretty good. Lotsa flavor. I dunk the naan in the sauce and its even better. The samosas are pretty good and also spicy. The service was no problem and they were very kind. I got the Butter Chicken with plain rice and an order of the cheese naan. Get the cheese naan!!! Sooo good omg. Loved dipping it in the butter sauce. I've only had butter chicken once before and I think I liked it more than here at Larosh because it was sweeter, and the chicken a bit more tender. I guess I prefer more coconut milk or whatever sweetens this sauce. The rice was good, nothing to rave about but good. I will be back to try another dish... and get more cheese naan read more

Service (1/5) My family & I were ignored when we entered. We had to keep going to the front & ringing the bell to get their attention. Still no luck so we decided to seat ourselves. 3 waiters were taking care of a big party for 20-25 min & we had not even gotten the menus. None of us even made eye contact with us. My little sister had to go back to the front to get their attention again & the woman said she didn't see us there. Lol. We are your customers in your restaurant for the past 25 min and you didn't even notice us? The waiter finally came & when we were giving our order, he said he had to leave & he'll come back. It was abrupt & just seemed weird especially since we had a long wait. Eventually we were able to order. Food (1/5) We ordered the nihari, beef boti & chicken biryani. The nihari was average at best, the beef boti was so bad.. you'd have to bite sooooo hard to chew it. It was super hard & tasted bland. The chicken biryani sucked but because it was a generous portion for $6.99 it was okay. Overall a whatever experience. Will probably never come again. read more

Don't be swayed by those 4 stars. The bad reviews are a combination of mediocre Indian food combined with rude customer service. I hope you all hard working moms and dads out there spend your hard earned money to a business elsewhere that is worthy of it. If this place don't give a care about how they treat you as a customer, then just imagine how much care they actually put in making your food. Also, watch out for those bits of hair in your food here and there. read more

This place is everything. Comfort food at its finest. I ordered the butter chicken with plain biryani rice, an order of butter naan, and suji halwa for dessert! It all was sooooo good! I had it delivered via grub hub. It was hot and fresh. The food is very reasonably priced and the portion size was very good. This place is now on my must eat list anytime I'm on the west side near Katy. read more

Wanted to check out the hype for this place, and it lived up to it - this is the best desi food I've had in a long time. I had the nihari, malai chicken boti, and garlic naan. Everything was perfect and very authentic tasting. The chicken boti is even better than Bundu Khan's which was my old favorite for grilled desi food. I also tried their brunch food. The halwa is to die for, my sweet tooth couldn't get enough. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes here. Service is amazing and friendly and the food comes out fresh. read more

Established in 2015.

We have been experimenting and learning the art of cooking for decades. From having a frozen food business to doing private event catering, we have done it all and want to do some more. We wanted to creat a restaurant that serves fresh and flavorful food with a twist. In a casual but modern space with great customer service. Where the food is both fast and afforsable. This is how Larosh Grill came to be. Our South Asian American Fusion food offers flavors like you have never tasted before. No food leaves our kitchen that we ourselves would not eat.

Went for dinner and started out with the Chicken Corn Soup. Added some of the hot sauce they have on the table and it was perfectt. Got the Qeema Matar Aloo, Nihari and Garlic Naan for the main course. The Nihari was amazing! I've been to a lot of desi restaurants and this one was definitely the best I've had. The Qeema dish was really good and made me miss home. If you don't know what to get: Garlic naan + Nihari. Can't go wrong. Garlic naan is definitely worth getting! My family and I came from out of town last weekend and were looking for a restaurant with some good Pakistani food and Larosh Grill was definitely it! My mom was in LOVE with the bun kabob and halwa and said it had the authentic Karachi taste. I personally loved the Nihari (if you don't know what to get, this is a must) and seekh kababs. The options for kids were perfect as well. My little brother, who normally is a super picky eater, devoured the chicken finger basket. This was a sudden find, and a great surprise to us! It was so good that I had to leave a review. The chicken tikka is the best I have had in Houston so far. Maybe because of the location it's not very popular. But you should definitely try it, if you are around. Loved the Karachi/Kolkata style biryani with aloo (potato). Even the desserts (we tried gulab jamoon and carrot halwa) were among the best you can find. Everything was pretty cheap also in comparison to the more popular Indian restaurants in Houston. I was on the way home from work and wanted to try something new. Came across this place and was greeted nicely. I forget what the item I ordered was, but it was really good! Spicy and so good! Definitely plan on returning. It is a little more expensive than I typically spend but I enjoyed myself. This restaurant never disappoints! My family and I have been coming here for years. We always get their chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. The curry is so tasty and when paired with their fluffy naan, it is like heaven. Another favorite for us is their platter; it's a combination of several grilled items, so it gives plenty of options and there is enough food for 3-4 people. You can order paratha on the side to make it even more enjoyable. 2. Bun Kebab - Always fresh and the bun is perfectly toasted. 3. Chicken Strips - Very good crispy texture and served with fries. 4. I recently ordered from veggie heaven or larosh on Uber Eats, and it was a terrible experience. First off, the delivery took way longer than the estimated time, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and soggy and no wonder it was empty on a friday night. Overall, this was one of the worst delivery experiences I've ever had. I would not recommend [veggie heaven or larosh] to anyone. I was visiting Houston with my family this past weekend and was referred to this restaurant by my friends, and it did not disappoint! We ordered chicken biryani, nihari, kabab fry, and chicken ginger. All the dishes were savory with the right amount of spice. The owner/chef was very cordial and even came out to the table to recommend dishes. I ordered from here almost an entire month with Uber eats. The owners seem to be very rude. Food is nice, but a little over priced for the quantity. Never offered any discount or some kind compensation when ordered a whole month. This is not the place to come here with family. I would go try another indo/pak place. They're only for the money. This is a great place for authentic Indian dishes. I dine here quite often. The food is always freshly prepared. Since I am very picky with the spices, my food always comes out perfect. Great job. He makes a special vegetable curry that is not on the menu when we ask. There are few diners when we are there but people are constantly coming and going to pickup their take-out orders.
