Very Delicious food and drinks. Great staff fast on taking orders and the overall atmosphere is good. Plenty of tables for large groups.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Gaithersburg area. Period. The food is always prepared exceptionally well. The vegetables are always fresh and the presentation is perfect my compliments to the chef and the friendly staff. read more

Horrible service! The "manager" was more worried about answering the phone then serving the patrons that were in restaurant! Chip and salsa were inedible, and the salsa was watery! We left, never even ordered drinks. read more

I dont know if they reduced the spices because I am a white-haired white woman or what, but this food was amazingly bland. The quality of the ingredients was very good, the meats were grilled well but still nice and tender, the service was good. Portion sizes were generous. Still there was very little Tex or Mex flavor on my plate. Even the deliciously fresh salsa was amazingly mild. If they dumbed down the spices because of their assumptions about white women, shame on them! If they didn't, I dont understand their lack of spices Quality of food and service: very good. Quality of Tex-Mex flavor: sadly lacking. read more

This is our favorite place to eat when we visit Rockville. Awesome guac and the Costillas (ribs) are absolutely out of this world!!! Not to be missed. We can't wait to come back!! read more

Laredo Grill - Costillas (ribs)!!! Best thing ever!! - Mexican Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

This restaurant is located in a shopping center so parking is free and plentiful. Chips and salsa are free. Chips are light and slightly salted. Salsa is somewhat chunky and has an ok taste but it does need a few more spices. Ordered the guacamole appetizer. Didn't like to large chips that came with this. Too thick and greasy. So I used the chips that came with the salsa. Guacamole was good but again needed a few more spices to make it great. My entrée was the chicken soft tocos. Came with 3. On the side was guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and diced tomatoes & onions. The sides were refried beans and rice. This dish had plenty of flavor. read more

Fantastic food and service! Went for the first time ever on Friday, loved it so much we went back Saturday and I got the same thing both times - broiled tilapia Cancun with a side salad. My wife got various Mexican/El Salvadoran items, very good! Same waiter too, he remembered my order! Great prices on domestic bottled beer. We will definitely be going back regularly! read more

Good food and good service. I like to go back for jumbo margaritas . Won't be disappointed coming here, the garlic shrimp appetizer with bread is to die for! read more

Can't recommend this place enough! Very economical with the best quality of food one can pay for. Had an amazing experience of authentic Salvadoran cuisine, which I found similar to Mexican, but I'm not an expert in South American cuisine :) Waiter had trouble speaking English but was very friendly and the food was brought fresh of the grill! The taste and quality of the meat was out of this world! Loved it! read more

I've been by this place hundreds of times and my gym is close by. NEVER gave it a shot despite poking my head in a few times. So worth it. Grabbed a seat at the small bar and delve into their Loma Saltado chicken. It was huge and great chunks and pieces of fresh chicken crinkle cut fries with all the fixins. Owner is always present and quick service plenty of water refills. I say give it a try! read more

T'was ok.. Staff was very nice, food was a tad expensive for me.. I felt that I did not get the amount of food I should have for the price I was paying.. I was not thrilled by the Decor, it was very vanilla, a bit tacky and thrown together. They have people who go here and think the place is the best, I experienced that when I was there.. They seemed to have a loyal following, so they must do something right, I just didn't see it in my experience.. I probably will not return. I saw no vermin/roaches, just FTR.. read more

Service here is great and I really like their outdoor patio seating. I had the enchiladas and was grateful for such a generous portion. I loved the rice and black beans. The beef enchiladas were well-seasoned and the chicken was moist and tender. read more

My husband introduced me to Laredo. Growing up in Texas he says their food is the closest to authentic. I've never had a problem with service. Staff is always very friendly and quick with refilling drinks. If you want a bar I wouldn't go here. The bar is small, but the food makes up for it. We always have the guacamole appetizer with the fresh fried chips. Delicious! I've tried everything from tamales to tacos to enchiladas and chimichangas. You can't go wrong. I'm not snotty about my Mexican food. I like Guapo's, but I think Laredo really stands out. read more

It's a great neighborhood cantina style restaurant, safe enough for the little ones. I had the soft Laredo beef tacos. They were good, but a little pricey. Being a Texan, I miss my Tex-Mex. It's nearly null and void in these parts. This restaurant did a good job. Friendly and attentive staff. I'll be back read more

Laredo Grill - Mexican Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

Awesome service, awesome margaritas, awesome flan, awesome tres leches!!! Love this place. Can't believe we didn't come sooner. The place is kinda small & the chips/salsa weren't the greatest, but entrees were great --spinach enchiladas & cheese enchiladas on point. Will be returning!! read more

We are picky about our Mexican, but after a super long wait at the place we are used to going, we decided to try a new place. Decided to try this place based on yelp reviews. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how good everything tasted. My steak fajitas were delicious. Guacamole tasted fresh. Salsa is fresh. The rest of my family liked their food too. I will definitely go again. Oh and the servers were very nice and attentive. read more

My family and I come here so often that the staff remember us! The service is outstanding. When I was younger, I used to hide my water glass because the waiters would come around to refill our waters so frequently (one time, I drank 4 glasses of water there and couldn't eat any of my dinner!). I always order the tamal de elote (corn tamal) appetizer and cheese quesadillas. The tamal de elote is delicious with sour cream. So good. The dishes come with fresh guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. I really enjoy the plaintains, too. I will never stop coming back! read more

Simplicity at its best. Not the cleanest but certainly doesn't make your skin crawl. "Busy" (decor) and slightly cramped... But the food is so flavorful, lunch portions are perfect. I really enjoyed my pupusa and tamal de elote. The refried beans are delicious. Inexpensive good "home made hand" flavored food. Worth the business break! read more

Fried plantains - need i say more? Friendly staff. A lot of locals and mexican and salvadoran folks frequent this place - so i'm thinking it must be pretty good. Prices did seem a bit high. We stuck with a table full of appetizers - pork papusa was great - better than cheese only, fried plantains - omg yummy, guacamole had a kick, chips for the table were tasty, salsa was ok, tostitos were tostidos, quesadilla was a quesadilla... I'd go back, friendly servers once they figured out how much i loves plantains! read more

My family and I have been here about three times and love this place. We're big fans of Mexican food, and Laredo Grill offers typical Mexican dishes as well as El Salvadorian foods. The restaurant itself is pretty small. All the times I have been, it has not been super busy, but it might get a bit cramped during busy times. The servers are all very kind and helpful. I really enjoy the food as well. My favorite dish is the Beef Enchilada, and it's always been well-prepared and fresh. My dad ordered an item that was off the menu, and they were very flexible with making this dish. Overall, I will definitely be coming here more. read more

Great affordable food and very tasty steak fajitas. I recommend the cheese quesadilla, the fajitas and the margaritas. A family of four can eat for less than $100 and walk out full. read more

Laredo Grill is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We frequent this establishment and have always had a great time! The staff is warm and attentive, and the restaurant is always clean and inviting. We often bring friends along and relax with a pitcher of sangria on the outdoor patio, or enjoy a cold beer at the small bar in the dining room. Be sure to try the Pescado Frito, a deliciously crispy fried fish, usually red snapper or flounder, that has never disappointed! Other highlights of the menu include jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab, slow roasted pork ribs, delicious chimichangas and a very tempting chile relleno. Of course there are the standard fajitas, tacos and enchiladas that have garnered many fans judging by the dining room full of loyal customers. I highly recommend giving Laredo Grill a try! read more

Small but dependable excellence! I was about to give 5 stars, but decided I really need to reserve that extra star for a Disney-like ambiance, gourmet meals I can get nowhere else, and waiters hovering discreetly over my table throughout the meal. Its not quite that. Laredo Grill offers mostly the usual Mexican cuisine, but what sets it apart from the other Mexican restaurants in the area is that everything they serve is consistently very good. Its the one spot we can fall back on if we can't decide where to go for dinner, and know that we'll enjoy our meal. Almost ironically, everyone in the establishment seems to be *Mexican*! Well, gosh'n'gollies, how often does that happen? Its a small place, that doubles its seating in the summer when they can seat some people outside overlooking the parking lot. The kitchen is barely separated from the dining area, The staff is all very courteous, naturally friendly, and attentive within the limits of their time. You will always get the requisite chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. The salsa is one of my favorites, so we're off to a good start in my book. Sure - order some drinks - the have a full bar. Very limited seating *at* the bar, but they are fully stocked, plus local and Latin favorites. I come for diner, not to drink. I hesitate to suggest any appetizers, since it usually means I can't finish dinner. But they are tasty treats, and often a way to get samples of the entrees. I'm a sucker for enchiladas, and have had them all, plus many of the other entrees. All are very good. And if you 'd like it a little spicier, or with an extra dab of sour cream, just ask - that's the nice thing about a small place. But what's really impressive is the sides. Beans, rice, salad.. nothing unusual except that they're all very good. I prefer the frijoles to the black beans, because I love the extra flavor imparted in the second cooking. Rice? Good grief - that's the item I usually leave on the plate. But this rice is seasoned Mexican rice and really worth eating! And then there's the salad - the usual mix of tomato, onion, cilantro on a bed of lettuce, always fresh, and you'll also get a helping of guacamole and sour cream. Thanks to the fact that I like everything on the plate, I'm often too full for dessert. They don't have an extensive dessert menu, but all the usual Mexican treats, freshly made and very good, like everything else. The bill for two will come to about $30-$40, which I think quite reasonable for this area. Laredo Grill doesn't benefit from crowds of shoppers or movie-goers who drop in because they're in the area. They're at the far edge of a shopping mall dominated by a exercise gym and an Oriental grocery. People have to make a point of coming here for the food, and they do.. read more

Laredo Grill is an amazing Salvadorian/Mexican restaurant. Me and my gf go at least once a week. Everything on the menu is good, the drinks are always made right. They are super nice inside all the servers work super hard. Great little spot for a margarita and some food. Check it out and support them they're awesome. read more

Can I give this restaurant more stars? DELICIOUS!!!! And excellent service too!! Stopped in randomly on a business trip. Will most definitely come back again. Highly recommend! read more

Laredo Grill is handling the safe table spacing nicely. The dining and bar areas are always spotlessly clean and bright. Our server, Adam, was spot on great for fast and effective service. Adam and the other staff are friendly with up-beat good personalities. I had the Mex combo plate with crisp beef tacos and cheese chili rellenos. Wife had the big salad, very expertly made and tasty. Excellent selections of drinks. I had a fresh cold Corona. A friend, another restaurant owner, from a nearby successful restaurant showed up to chat at the bar and he had a glass of the "bar special" red wine. He likes Laredo, and both myself and my wife like it a lot. read more

Have not been there in awhile. Sign outside in Spanish and looked empty so when door open asked manager if they are still open. He looked so insulted and almost didn't answer. I didn't mean to come across wrong and I was very pleasant to him. My date said the same. Thought sign may have said closed for some reason. there was a table way in back, so just looked like it. Got combo fajitas and meats were so overcooked and dry. Took home but probably won't eat. Nasty after taste. My margarita was fine, but date's was watery. Wait staff didn't seem to know who was serving us constantly, so took time for service. Chips tasted store bought and salsa not as good as it used to be. Won't go back. read more

The food was okay. I got the beef chimichangas: the beef was dry without much flavor. It was also much smaller than chimichangas I have had at other restaurants. The rice and beans were good, but nothing to rave about. For nearly $13, I expected much better. I did like that they serve chips and salsa with carryout meals, and the side condiments (guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo) were fresh and tasty. The staff was very nice. I probably won't be returning because I can get tastier, cheaper, and more filling Mexican food at other places down the street. read more

My wife and I have been eating regularly at Laredo since it opened. We love the atmosphere and the hospitality of the staff. Mario, the owner, takes pride in his food and the quality the service. His success is evident with the number of regulars who continually return. I'm never disappointed. Corky Logsdon read more

Best seafood in Montgomery county. Try the salmon chipotle , camerones tequila, or tilapia relleno

It was our first time here. We arrived Saturday night around 5:00. Moderate crowd. They bring the chips and salsa out first. Reviews are right about the salsa, not great at all and our chips were stale. We ordered the chili con queso and asked for fresher chips. It didn't disappoint. So delicious! I got the skinny Cadillac margarita. It means that it is made without the sugary margarita mix, just fresh lime juice. Highly recommend! So good! He got the combo fajitas and loved the dish. I got a la carte soft corn tacos. They were equally delicious. Service was excellent so we will definitely be coming back! read more

I have been here on several occasions. Most of the staff is really friendly. The margaritas are nice. The food Ive had is good. I really like the seafood soup. There are two with different prices. Make sure you order the soup you meant to order- point to it- so the server knows for sure. Love the seafood soup. read more

Very pleasant atmosphere, much quieter than the Rio or Kentlands. Food was good and reasonably priced.

The food is always good and the service is great. I love the pupusas. My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken tacos al carbon but everything on the menu is tasty. The meat is moist and flavorful in the chicken tacos. The best time to come is when it's nice out and you can eat outside! read more

I had the seafood soup and my wife had chicken and steak fajitas. Seafood soup was delicious and seafood was cooked perfectly. The chicken and steak fajitas were also very good. Margaritas were also good. The staff was very attentive and I will be back. read more

I've been going to Laredo's since I was a kid. It's the only place I request to go when I am back in town. The seafood enchiladas are amazing and you can't beat the margaritas! But everything is delicious I've never had a bad meal there. read more

I hadn't been to Laredo Grill in quite a while, but am so happy to be back. So many margaritas to choose from, but I chose the regular lime. Then the freshly made Molcajete Guacamole (not the guacamole dip which is served in a crispy flour tortilla shell), which is offered in three spice levels. I got the mild which was tasty but had no heat so next time I'll try the medium. I then had the steak quesadilla, which was an absolute standout. The steak was so tender and flavorful. I'm looking forward to the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Sunday evening, which I attribute to the fact that it's located in a shopping center which seems to have a lot of turnover of stores and restaurants. It's definitely worth the trip. read more

This is my go to place. The ambiance can be quiet or loud, depending on the clientele and the wait staff (currently Miguel, Cecelia, Walter and Alan) is always courteous. As for the menu.....Mario has the best marguerita in town! If they have whole snapper or rockfish on the menu....get it! You won't be disappointed. If you are looking for something lighter...the ceviche mixto is wonderful. It's listed as an appetizer, but add flour tortillas, and it can easily be a meal. Their burritos are pulled chicken or beef and my S.O. always gets the fajita (if there is no fish on the menu). . read more

Great place- good food and good value! Generous parking...I love their steak fajitas and mango daiquiri. The flan and dulce de leche cake was good as well. I know when I come here I'd have good food and service without breaking the bank. Thanks, Laredo Grill! read more
