Parece como que le cortaron la orejita con los dientes o quizas con cualquier herramienta barata, como que un animal le masticó su orejita o le cortaron con machete. Esto es redículo. Es más que redículo es maltrato amimal. Y esto fue en Laredo Animal Clinic en 6001 Mcpherson, Laredo hace un par de dias. El animal mas bien parece el el supuesto tecnico que le hizo esto a esta pobre amalit. I dont usually leave many reviews but after seeing so many negative feedback I decided to leave my review. While growing up my family began taking our pets to the Laredo Animal Clinic; I've had several pets since the first visit and have had both not so good and excellent experiences which is why I can understand the frustration and need for previous dog owners to voice out their experiences. But at the same time have you ever noticed how most of the time as people we tend to comment when it's bad but not every single time someone did a good job? I will share my thoughts based on past and current time interactions. We had a sour experience well over 14 years ago (had gotten or dog fixed so she couldn't have puppies and we did so before a holiday long weekend to be able to give her that extra care). When we were there to pick her up we asked if she could be given something to calm her down to sedate her a bit so she wouldn't open her stitches. At the time Dr Kramer told us something to the effect of not to worry the dog would instinctively know not to be jumping up and down (no sedatives were prescribed as for the dog would just know it couldn't move much and would take it easy). Now in retrospect Dr Kramer should probably have sent her with some mild sedative just as a precaution because while she's the vet and I'm sure most pets have great instincts and in fact know not to move because they were just opened up , however she didn't listen to the concerns of pet owners who spent more time with that specific pet and not assume the dog would behave. Long story short the pet that would instinctively know to take it easy did run around and jump up and down at some point opened up her stitch and her gut was sticking out just a little ( no she did not die we were able to put her gut back inside her belly kept an eye on her and gave her some Benadryl to mellow her out and took her to a different vet after the holiday weekend and got re stitched). So while that was a bit of a nightmare and we tried other vet for a while I say for a while because when you're lucky enough that your pet is healthy you really only visit your pet's vet office maybe once or twice a year if anything but not only was it far away from us making it less convenient but the vet retired so when choosing a new vet we ended up going back to the Laredo Animal clinic since there are multiple vets at the Clinic just preferred not to be seen by the previous vet since that was really the only bad experience we ever had there. My oldest at the moment is 14 years , younger brother is about 12 years (I got him when he was about 2-3years old) and a young sister aprox 4 months ; all have been a patients at Laredo Animal Clinic since Ive had them; And while I understand everyone speaks based on their experiences I know my pets are well taken care for. First of all we were lucky enough that Dr Alexander at an early stage suspected my oldest possibly had a tumor which could be something but not necessarily started taking meds and when that didn't work as well as he had hoped referred us to an oncologist in San Antonio it was indeed cancer he had surgery but sadly it came back due to the type of cancer he has. I take him about 3 times a week for fluids and the staff and everyone makes him feel like a celebrity. My dog got very sick one day that he had to be carried on a stretcher and we were getting ready for the worst but thankfully he made an amazing recovery from not being able to walk (lack of balance) which btw we were told to heal it could be a couple of weeks to a couple of months or it could just sadly never fully go away. I don't recall the exact medical condition but I suppose the easiest way to explain would be the equivalent to a stroke. We stopped taking him for fluids as much because while fluids are very important to be kept in check to get him to the car was not the easiest thing to do since he is a big kid weighing 70-80lbs and again since he had no control of his movements due to lack of coordination it wasn't as simple as just holding him up to assist him it was a carry and also fight against his movement because he tried walking but made it harder for me to carry because I had to make sure he didn't bang his head or anything so I took him maybe one or two times a week after the incident and he started walking with less assistance about a week later he began to walk as if nothing had happened. My dog is 14 years of age and even with cancer we know in big part it's thanks to the medicine and treatment that he has gotten. And sure having a pet is not cheap but a pet is family . So while I'm sorry to hear some people have not had good experience and urge you not to go; I am absolutely glad I take my pets to the Laredo Animal Clinic because after just one sour one experience which is ancient history since it's not even the same vets my pets have had nothing less than amazing treatment. read more

I've been taking my dog here for about 3 years. The staff is always so kind and attentive. Just yesterday they were able to get my dog in for a last minute appointment since he wasn't feeling well. The vet took her time and did not pressure me into making a decision about tests or X-rays. They even sent him home with a ball that he's now obsessed with . He's feeling much better today and I'm so grateful for Laredo Animal Clinic's prompt service! read more

had an emergency scare with my dog, brought here and was told she either ate something bad or had a disease. Either way both could be treated with a weekend stay. As long as I paid over 900 dollars in one chunk, no payment plans, no discussion, just, can't pay? get out. That's amazing that the clientele they usually have can afford that kind of price for a non diagnosis and vague notions of treatment. Incredibly frustrating and infuriating. Please fix this insanity. Family and I have been clients of Laredo animal clinic since 2009, with no real issues, but recently took my dog for a follow up on her blood work they took her in and brought her back out soaked from her neck to chest and leg from alcohol. Got a call back later from (Leslie Rene Collins) office manager. that they need to redraw blood work because they didn't draw the right blood work. for her liver enzymes. (Leslie Rene Collins) mentioned how they don't use charts to verify what's needed for Patients. How can that be ? made a comment to Office manager, Leslie Collins about some recent issues that happened. And she asked why I hadn't told her and I simply said. I have tried, but you are never in the office that is what your front staff tells us and all hell broke lose..She then goes ballistic on the phone with me, being extremely rude and Hostile. Called later to speak with Vet Dr. Chase Jarman. he had no empathy or common courtesy, about the situation. He also stated how this was not part of his job and that he didn't know who would be able to handle this situation. Saying he was only an "associate" at the clinic. Two days later I received a letter stating that They were letting my pets go as clients. due to our " unhappiness" with Dr Chase Jarman, Signature!!  What a coward!!! Days later Leslie also send another letter to our home again.. this time to my mother and letting go of her pets as well. Talk about Harassment!! I reached out to their corporate office and they did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. Concerning the Vet Technician messing up on my dog and poking her Multiple times and not drawing the right bloodwork and Leslie being completely out of line and retaliating even to the point of telling the employees. not to talk to me or my family on social media. That is completely crossing the line and this is retaliation at its best and bullying at this point. We are completely disgusted with how Laredo animal clinic is allowing this to happen and the National veterinarian associates too. Not caring for Quality Care service. Dr Chase Jarman left my dogs (my babies) without vet care and they have all on going issues. Also without meds and food. They have liver damage and such. Thank Dr Jarman for being a complete let down and Hypocrite!! you have a lot of growing to do in your field and maybe you will grow a heart in time cause you don't have one at all. I wish I could give them a rating of zero (0) stars, but unfortunately I can't. Let me give you a bit of context.... I have been a dog owner for the past 10 years. In that time I have lived in Laredo, San Antonio, and Houston TX. I have taken my dogs to close to 20 different Veterinarian clinics, and none have compared to this Slaughter House - I mean Veterinarian clinic. If you want to take your dog to a bunch of people that call themselves Veterinarians, and don't give a rats tail about your puppy then this is your place. All they care about at this "clinic" is milking you for every possible penny they can get out of you. I took my puppy there for an emergency, and they treated him like there was absolutely nothing wrong with him. They were slow to react, and they did the equivalent of giving him a Tylenol to treat a Cancer tumor. After much instance on our part, they ordered blood work and charged me over $500.00 to simply tell me, and I quote "I just don't know what could be wrong with your puppy. Maybe you should take him to San Antonio where you can see a Veterinarian that might know what could be wrong with him"... And that is coming from their best Veterinarian on staff. I wasted a whole week of valuable time that could have been spent towards saving my puppy's life, but instead they kept telling me that they needed to continue pumping fluid into my puppy because he was dehydrated. If you are a pet parent that cares about the well being of your pets, stay far away from this place. From now on I will make the 2 hour drive to San Antonio to take my puppies to reputable and knowledgeable doctors, and not take a chance with these folks that pretend to be Veterinarians. This is by far the poorest example of the Veterinarian profession that I have ever been exposed to. read more

I called to see if I could take my cat in for a check up, I explained the issue to the man and he rudely replied "I can't help you over the phone." OBVIOUSLY!!! That's why I called for help if I could take her in ASAP or tomorrow morning. and I asked if he suggested anywhere else he said "no I don't we can see her till next week maybe maybe you'll have some luck in Mexico." This is usually where I take my pets but I'm so disappointed in the way he handled my situation. read more

Took our dog here for an emergency. Everyone was so nice & polite. Our dog ended up staying for a week. They took care of him like he was theirs. Prices are affordable place is always clean. Dr. Cramer is the best vet we have ever been to! Absolutely love her! read more

I am extremely disappointed with this place. The front staff is terrible. You walk in the front door and are typically ignored for the first five minutes as the receptionists give more importance to their menial tasks than their customers. There is typically urination and defecation all over the floor, which, needless to say, is gross. Whether you make an appointment or go for a walk-in, you will inevitably wait 45 minutes before being seen, because this vet office appears to always overbook its appointments. Makes going to the vet on Saturday for a walk-in a half-day affair, and going for an appointment during lunch in the middle of the week just as impossible. I question whether they keep proper track of the vaccinations they have given to your animals, which is really scary. Once I made an appointment because I was told my youngest animal needed another booster shot. I was doubtful because I was nearly certain that he had gotten all of them. I made an appointment and went in only to find out that he was already given his last booster already. The next time I was at the vet a few weeks later they again said he was missing his last booster. Frustrating, and somewhat scary, to think that they are just giving shots and medications without keeping proper track of them. A similar occurrence happened a second time, when they called me while my dog was boarding to say he needed shots. I asked them to hold off until I could see the records. On the day I was picking him up from boarding I called to have the records ready for when I picked up my dog (knowing the wait times at this vet), and the owner got extremely offended and suggested that "clearly I hated their services," acting like it was absurd that I politely requested my pet's medical records. Not surprisingly, the owner then acted as if I was making the whole telephone conversation regarding my dog's vaccinations up, because my dog did not in fact need any shots. All in all, the customer service is extremely lacking at this place, and I just ultimately have no confidence in the system they are using after multiple mistakes I have experienced. Note: I went to Critter Care after the utter unprofessionalism of the owner, and was pleasantly surprised. That vet is clean; the staff actually got up from their desk to help me open the door when I had a large crate in my arms (something the staff at Laredo Animal Clinic never did); and the whole experience was pleasant from beginning to end. read more
