Since the pandemic and worker shortage, Brickle has merged all locations to the Evans branch. Still the same top-notch dry cleaning. I recommend calling ahead to see if your dry cleaning is close to finishing. At the time, Brickle was backlogged for more than a week. Many businesses are having staffing issues and, Brickle is no exception. Brickle front desk lady is very kind and courteous even when one of my laundries was misplaced. (It was hanging in the back). The actual initial promise (4days)was missed.6 days after the missed promise date, I recieved text informing me my clothes were ready for pickup. The text was sent at 6:08 pm. I went to pick up clothes at 6:20pm. When I arrived the store was closed the sign said store closes at 6:00 pm. So yet another day I had to wait. Total time to clean 8 pieces 12 days yikes!!! I have spent a lot of money with this cleaners. However, I sent back a pillow sham due to it not being properly cleaned. I was told that I would get a 6 dollar cerdit. I also sent a suit to thier cleaners and they messed up one of the buttons and replaced them with buttons that were not becoming of the suit. I have been here a few times since my first review and my tune has changed. First the cleaning service portion of this business is good. More expensive than most cleaners though. I have noticed the staff's attitudes and timeliness of service decreasing. I have had to yell out "HELLO!" after several minutes of being there. Destroyed my designer gown. It was dropped off with a few marks. The marks were gone upon pick up but the dress no longer had shape or structure. It hangs with floppy excess material now. The dress was also returned hanging by the neckline not using the hanging straps. Update: Absolutely horrible customer service by the manager and her daughter, the assistant manager. It was one insult after another when I took the dress back to be looked at. I was educated on how dresses are made, though I don't know what that had to do with the dress being returned differently than it was dropped off. They argued with me on the type of fabric that it was. "Just because you paid a lot of money doesn't mean it's not a $20 dress." Most importantly they admitted to heavy pressing it when I picked up the dress but stated that it was only steam pressed later. Barbara S. - Augusta GA Walton Way Ext. Please do not use this cleaners (Lapels)! I've had a couple of issues with this business. Once when I went to pick up my clothes, one of my blouses was missing and the lady at the front told me that's all I brought in. She was very rude and instead of going to the back to look for the blouse, she just wanted to argue with me. Another employee went to the back and found my blouse. The lady never apologized. She made me feel like she perhaps wanted to keep it for herself...I don't know. Recently on August 7, 2024, I went to pick up my clothes ($55). When I arrived back at home, I noticed a pair of my pants was shrinked to maybe 3 sizes smaller. I left the pants at the store and the store, manager called me the next day. She wasn't helpful so I spoke with the store Owner, Tiffany. We got in a heated argument because I told her I wanted to be reimbursed at $29.99 for the cost of the pants. She stated that her employee has 14 years of cleaning experience and he cleaned the pants based of the material from the fabric tag inside of the pants. If that's the case, why did the pants shrink. The Owner, Tiffany stated by going by I guess a special book, she can only reimburse me at $7...unbelievable! However, she's the Owner...she can do what she wants. Each time I visit that cleaners, I spend anywhere between $50 - $70 and she wants to reimburse only $7 for pants "they damaged". I only ask for the cost of the pants, which I can provide the cost for, but no, she wants to give me $7. The Owner, Tiffany obviously doesn't seem to care about losing customers. She could have easily said I'll reimburse you for the cost of the pants or the next cleaning is on Lapel. When I go pick up my pants on tomorrow, I will inform everyone going in or out of the cleaners on what happen to me. I will be doing this for a few days and hopefully she will see it wasn't worth it to. I am very upset to be treated in this manner when I have spent a lot of money there! read more

Business have had my high school leatherman jacket for over 3 months. I call bi weekly to check on my item. Today my call was answered by the rudest person I've ever encountered at this business. I've had nothing but professional experiences until today 10/24/23 at approximately 1:00 an extremely rude lady by the name of Jakayla I think. She didn't pronounce any of her words correctly so I couldn't hear her clearly. She was very rude over my concern for my item and she also hung up on my face during the call. I didn't know what to expect when I paid Brickle's Cleaners & Laudry a visit. I needed several button down shirts cleaned, and the star rating was great, but the review count was small. Fortunately I paid them a visit because I came out with quality service on the cheap! I turned in 8 garments (all button down shirts) for $16. A steal i'd say, considering what I have paid in Atlanta (i.e. literally 3 times as much). Not only was service good and friendly, but they also asked if I needed something rushed, they could next day it for me. Nice! Yes, they're having to deal with lots of construction in and around the Washington road area, with both of their entrances being gravel roads, but don't let that deter you from getting quality service done. So long as i'm In Augusta, for the price alone, i'll be taking my clothes to Brickle's Cleaners & Laundry! read more

I own Brit Nelson Interiors and I rarely leave a negative review of any business, being a small business myself. I will never use or recommend and in fact I will go out of my way to dissuade someone from using this company. Over two weeks ago I brought in a clients window treatments to be pressed. Not cleaned- only creased and pressed properly. I went to the Walton Way location and the young man up front was great. I needed them done asap and told me since they were only being pressed they could likely be done within a week (well within reason) but generally it is two weeks AND they would be delivered to my client when done the next Tuesday and if they would not be able to deliver on that promise they would give me a call. I contact my client Wednesday and nothing's arrived. I contact Lapels and they have no idea what I'm talking about and they drapes aren't even started and they refuse to deliver to my client. They get me a manager and she tells us- on speaker phone with my assistant in the room they would be ready the next day and we should just go to the Washington Road location to pick them up. We agree and my assistant says she will come and get them by 5:00 pm the next day. She also tells us they will not pick up/deliver to my clients only to my studio, which helps me not at all and is completely opposite what the gentleman at the Walton Way location said. Sherry arrives, as arranged, and they are still not pressed and the woman says she is the only one that can do it and Sherry needs to come back tomorrow. Sherry does, indeed, come back the next day and pick up all 4 panels and delivers them to our client Friday. The same Friday, yesterday, I had arranged ALL of my window treatments in my entire house to be picked up to be pressed before Masters. I take them all down and bag them and put them on the porch. They had told me they would pick up between 8-10 am. I call at 11:30 just to make sure they are coming being as I have thousands of dollars of window treatments just waiting for their arrival on my porch. She said they would be there shortly and acted like I was being annoying to call. They never came and alas bags are in my entry as I write this. Back to my client - the installer goes to hang them in the clients home this afternoon and sends me a video of the deplorable condition they are in. Positively wrinkled like they were rolled up in a gym bag (oh but the first 3 or 4 pleats look nice and crisp in the plastic garment bag so we would have never known upon pick up). I am furious and on a deadline so I grab all the panels and race to get to the main location in Evans before they close to remedy this for my client. I arrive at 1:40 pm as it is listed they close at 2:00 and it is ALREADY closed. I called the listed number and it just rang and rang. I give a lot of grace with businesses but this is not just one area of problems- both the customer service and the quality of work are deplorable. Repeated issues over one clients order and then my house of window treatments still waiting is ridiculous. As I mentioned earlier I own a design firm and we would have done a lot of business together, but I am seeking a sincere apology and a refund as soon as possible. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! We were first time customers dropping off and having items dry cleaned for an event. I dropped off a gown to be taken in and very minimal altering and and dropped off a brand new suit. Alterations on my gown were trash!!!! Did not actually take in the dress like asked and would not credit us for the $95 dollars worth of alterations. Told us we should have tried on before paying(by the way, they don't have a dressing room). Went to pick up items because we received a text they were ready. Arrived, we're made to pay for everything up front, which was fine, however, the employee could not find my husband suit jacket or button down shirt. She informed us she would have to call her manager to find out what is going on. We waited with no luck. We asked for the employee to call us when the manager arrived. Never did so we called and were informed the manager was in route to the store and would give us a call. 2 hours later, no call. We called again....we ask about the missing items which the THOUGHT were delivered to another customer and we're going to call the customer to see if they could come pick them up. Spoke to the owner who has zero customer service or business sense to actually do right by their customers. We still have not received a call back from them letting us l ow the status of the suit. When we asked about them paying us back for the clothes, we were told they have to verify if they are in fact missing!!!! Trash service. Not professional. Lacks complete business sense! read more

I moved to Evans 26 yrs ago . I took my wedding dress about 24 yrs ago to Brickle's for preserving . I had 3 little children so the $250 ? 23 yrs ago was a lot of money ! I was told "do not open the box because it was been preserved to keep it from yellowing , and keep it in perfect condition. So here I am , the day before I go to appointments with wedding shops for my only daughter's wedding , I open my preserved wedding dress expecting to get emotional looking at it after 33 yrs . It was taped and sealed as I was told it would be , but This is what I found : a wrinkled dress in a pile , not even folded , or on a hanger , it was as if someone wadded it up and stuffed it in a box . The veil looked like a cat had been playing with it for years , it also was merely thrown into the box , no stuffing or paper , no plastic form to keep its shape . A stain on the dress , , the head piece from the veil was bent up , looked like something you would find in an old sock drawer with old pieces of fabric . They literally took something that was so sentimental and special to me , and something I dreamed of my daughter trying on when she began shopping for her special dress, to find this was the biggest disappointment ever ! No wonder they said "do not open it until you are ready to use it again ." There was also a stain that had I known , I'm sure it could have Been removed 20 yrs ago but I Doubt it can be now . I brought a dress that 33 yrs ago , I paid more than most brides do today and Brickle's treated it like it was a towel , or a sweatshirt . At the time , this was one of the only places that "claimed " to be qualified to preserving a wedding dress . Attaching some photos , I am beyond upset right now ! This is exactly what I found when opening the box ! Shame on you ! I would like to include my mother in law's preservation of her dress , and compare the two . She wore her dress in 1949, had it preserved around 1978, and there is no comparison , between the one I took to Brickle's and the one she had preserved in New Orleans . Again , shame on you ! And shame on "diamond Brite" the company you sent it to for keeping it in pristine condition as you said it would be ! Run away from this cleaners ! They may be capable of cleaning a dress shirt, but the dishonesty and false claims is enough for me , to never go thru that drive through window again . read more

Be careful when you pick up your cleaning orders from here! There is a sign now that says you must pay when dropping off. I paid when I dropped off and then when my husband picked up my order, the same lady told him I forgot my card and charged him again. I had to go up there and get it refunded. Then she tried to tell me it was a glitch. If that's how their going to run the store I will go somewhere else. I was a weekly customer and I do not think it is ok to scam the customers by charging twice. If she did it to me I am sure she is doing it to other customers. They need to get a new honest employee! We dropped our items, made our payment, and picked them up several days later. 2 weeks later we received a call stating they charged us the wrong amount and we owed them another $30. I wish I had read more review before using this dry cleaners for my wedding dress. DO NOT bring anything you care about to them. I dropped my wedding dress off in January and was given a pickup date about a month out. When they called after only a couple weeks saying it was done, I was pretty excited. Well, when I picked it up there were black marks all down the front of my white wedding dress and it looked ruined. When I asked about it, the lady at the front desk told me they could redo it and it would be ready March 6, 2021. It is now April 22, 2021 and I have called about 10 times and my dress is still not ready. When calling April 21, 2021 I was told "well there are some dresses here from December" and "call back in a month". However these were stains that this company made that were NOT on there when I dropped it off. I asked several times for a refund and my dress back so I could take it somewhere else since I paid over $200 to have it cleaned and they are refusing to give me a refund and my dress back. After many many times of asking, I was finally put on the phone with the owner about 2 weeks ago and he just said he was trying to get to it. ***I will update with a timeline and the quality of the redo once I receive my dress back*** PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHES HERE, especially a wedding dress. read more

It took me a long time after I moved to Columbia County to find a dry cleaner that I liked. I love this place. 1. Friendly, knowledgeable staff- they know my last name when I pull up. If I ask for something, they will tell me a cheaper alternative if there is one- just so I am aware and can make the choice. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. 2. They get my clothes clean and pressed. Yes, I know that is the point- but there are some places I tried in town that didn't. 3. My clothes are ready when they promise them to me, and sometimes earlier! If I'm in that part of town I will swing by just to check if I know later it will mean a special trip. 4. I don't know how they could do better. They are quick when you drop off or pick up. The prices are more than reasonable. They are a happy bunch of folks and they always seem to be having a good time. I like people that smile when they are serving me. The work they do is excellent. They respectfully replace buttons when needed and they seem to genuinely care about my satisfaction. I like the speed of their service in how they get your stuff back to you when you need it. They have a good drive through service and I rarely take more than 2 minutes to drop off or pick up. Great service and super friendly staff! They are super fast too. They have a 24/7 drop box which is so convenient. We just drop off our clothes in the bag that the company gave us & 24-48 hour later our clothes are ready. We won't go anywhere UPDATE: I got our winter coats recently cleaned there. I had a an important meeting to attend so I took a shirt and a pair of slacks to have dry cleaned. when I put the slacks on the morning of my meeting I noticed they had double creases on both legs. Brickle's ruined my black & white blazer. When I spoke with Kim about it, she denied responsibility, was very rude and refused to compensate me for it. She said that I should have known that the chemicals they use would cause the black to bleed into the white. That blazer had been dry cleaned previously by other cleaners with no problems. A second blazer that was a light shade of pink came back grayish. I won't be taking any more clothing to them...too risky. read more

Grease stains all over both and the hem stretched out on the dress on one side. They refused to take any responsibility for their actions!! Around Feb 2, I had a goose down comforter dry cleaned.at Brickles. The comforter was only months old. I picked the comforter up in about one week at the cost of $20.00. When I was putting the comforter on my bed, I noticed white spots over the entire comforter and two small tears. One tear was a corner tear, obvisous that it had been caught on something. I feel the white spots were detergent residue because the comforter had been laundered rather than dry cleaned as dirrected. I returned the comforter to the cleaners and complained. I was told the "owner" would call me on the coming Friday. No call from the owner! I received a call from the cleaners about two weeks later advising me I could pick up the comforter. Upon picking the comforter up I looked at it before leaving the store, noticed the tears were still there, but some white spots gone, yet the sheen finish on the comforter had become a dull finish. I brought this to the clerk's attention and stated that the comforter was ruined and I wanted to be reimbursed for the cost of the comforter. $70.00 I was told that I would not be reimbursed because the "owner" of the cleaners said they had no machines that would tear the comforter! and they did a good job cleaning it. I refused to take to comforter home, requesting the "owner" to call me. I was told i would receive a phone call that Friday. Again, I received no phone call. I went into the cleaners today (approximately 3 weeks later) requesting my comforter and for the $70 the comforter had cost. I was told they were not advised by the owner to pay me for the comforter. I then asked for at least the cost of the cleaning to be returned to me. I was again told they were not authorized by the owner to return the $20.00. Needless to say, I am very upset. My new comforter has been ruined, I have complained several times, and I am not even given a phone call from the "owner" as promised. Is there an "owner" of Brickle Cleaners? Who do you complain to that has the authority to talk to a disguntled customer and make a decision? It has been approximately one and a half months since the first cleaning, and all I have is a ruined comforter and $20.00 less! I have been a customer of this cleaners for at least 10 years, my husband is a business man and I had all his shirts and pants cleaned there. Never again will I bring any cleaning to Brickles. Does this "owner" exist and it so, why does this "owner" feel that as a customer I do not deserve the time it takes to make a phone call to me. I will report this to "Rants and Raves" and the Better Business Bureau. I hate that I must do this, but I feel that I have been mistreated as a customer.
