They need to put a sign up in the window that states what their hours are. I looked it up online and it gave me the hours of the old laundromat when it was called Grand Central station.That told me it was open till midnight. So, I go there, start to wash my clothes and I am informed by a very frustrated worker that they closed at 10:30. But I could not find that they closed at 10:30 online and there was no sign in the window that said they closed at 10:30. Im not psychic. They really need to make it more clear as to when they close so people don't get angry at their customers. read more

My laundry machine being on the fritz, I eventually motored on over here. I wasn't expecting the world, but there were a lot of machines not working, and the ones that were wouldn't accept a card payment despite having the device attached to do so, forcing me to change out a $20 bill for quarters. A few carts were quickly nabbed by those looking to move laundry around, and the seats were likewise monopolized even during a non-rush hour. The result was clean clothes in a very reasonable amount of time. I'd also note that their wifi was effective so I was able to get in a casual zoom meeting in the background. Hopefully I'll be able to get my situation resolved because it was more trouble than I would have liked. read more

I have been shamefully overdue for a trip to the laundromat ever since my hubby & I moved downtown and received the ultimate house warming gift, in the form of a Barbie toy for washer 'n dryer from our lovely totally-awesome-not-AT-ALL-deplorable slum-LANDlords. Annnnyway, Lucy's did the job. I waited to wash our biggest stuff (duvet, blankets, stuff that didn't have a chance in hell of getting washed at our apartment) So I couldn't wait any longer, and Lucy's quickly made me realize just how idiotic I'd been to wait SOO long. Well if your landlords are going to treat you like trash, then you might as well act like it lol Everything went very quickly and I spent way more money than I needed to because the washers and dryer's can get pretty darn big And I definitely underestimated them. If you forget to bring detergent or bleach like I did, they sell it upfront. TIP: Just don't come during COVID-19 if you're planning on doing a whole days worth. I was residing in the hotel when I came here multiple times. First time there were some trouble makers trying to fight a homeless guy. The worker yelled and told them to take it outside. The second time I went there around 7am. The doors were open, but I'm pretty sure it should be locked up. There was a homeless guy sleeping on one of the couches. When the worker came in she threatened to call the police. A lot of their dryers are out of order. The couches, knowing now that the homeless sleeps on it is disgusting. Prices ain't bad though. The tv is off but there's live drama every time you go in. Would come back. read more

Interesting concept with this laundry mat. I remember growing up waiting around bored, but that's not the case here. There are several flat screen tvs to watch while you wait, free wi-Fi, and the machines accept debit cards and Apple Pay! There's also an attendant available to buy laundry items (detergent, dryer sheets, etc.) which I thought was pretty cool. A children's play area is available as well, however I'm not sure if I would let my child play in it... Could be cleaned up a little more. This is located in a really good part of town with eateries nearby and a small shopping plaza down the road all within walking distance. read more

DO NOT USE THIS LAUNDROMAT!! I put $6 in a 5-load washer that failed to start. Could have been a "one off" situation that does or doesn't happen frequently...who knows...stuff like that happens, right? The lack of support I received from the staff was why I won't spend money here anymore and why I recommend you use one of the MANY other laundromats in the area. The attendant checked the machine, watched me insert an additional quarter, saw that the machine was not registering the receipt and after calling the Manager on the phone I was told...no refunds no restarts. Made me HOT that I wasn't valued as a repeat customer. DO NOT BUY THEIR "Lucy's" BRANDED LAUNDRY BAGS!! They are huge and very cool looking...but the seams cannot support the weight of a full bag. It has been misfortune that led me here twice in the past year. First my washer stopped in the middle of the soak cycle so I found myself with a load of wet towels that my dryer would have taken forever to dry. Then recently my dryer decided it was time to move on to the great landfill in the sky. So both times I had towels in need of a dryer. And both times I went here. Now I will mention the location isn't the best, even though it is just off Washington Road. I say that because you do not want to have to turn left to get in or left to get out. Traffic is always a beast. Parking is one way so no backing up (also, handicap parking by the front door). Some would say it is small, but the truth is I didn't find it full either time so who cares. They do offer laundry service for you, but again I was only drying a single load. At .25 for 8 minutes that may sound like it could add up, but not when the dryers work like they do. My towels were done in less than 20. The dryers have a high-medium-low setting and they take card (very convenient nowadays). Free Wifi is provided and candy is cheap. Seating is touch limited, but again it wasn't full either time so I was good to sit and read. The team has always been helpful and courteous and the place has been clean and cool (as it was June this last time I went). It will remain my Plan B for laundry. read more

The concept is great. We came here because we needed our boys to be distracted while we did laundry (hotel living). But we were extremely disappointed. The kids play area had empty boxes (toys probably walked away with visiting kids) and the TVs were off. The facility was also ready dirty. A gentleman appeared to be cleaning but moved a couch and holy cow it was gross underneath. Then he just left it and went to smoke. If you're looking for a self service laundromat, the washers and dryers are decent but don't expect much more. read more

I used the fluff and fold feature of Lucy's and found it to be a decent service... I'm not sure $1 a lb is a fair price... seems expensive to me. When I went in it was fairly busy and didn't seem like a new, clean, organized place. This is cool laundry place. I never visit unless I have a large comforter to wash. I recently started spring cleaning, so a few comforters needed to be washed and stored. This is a great place to wash large comforters! Lucy's does laundry also. You can drop off things and pick them up later. It's a very large space if you have lots of washing. The space has a lounge area and play area for the kids. Most importantly, it's close to dining if you have to wait. read more

Received laundry we paid to be washed, dried, and folded back still wet! Wash, dry, and fold service is terrible. We occasionally use it for some rugs and pet bedding that is too large to wash in our home dryer however after our latest subpar experience we will no longer be using this service. Several times we have received laundry back that was clearly still wet or very damp, leading us to have to bring it back to be dried completely. We have put up with this because the gentleman who works there is very nice and always dried it again for us when the laundry was still damp until it was completely dry. This last time was the last time we will stand for this inadequate overpriced service, because on the night of Thursday 4/26/18 when my husband picked up our laundry and checked the dryness of the contents he found that they all ranged from damp to pretty much still wet and the lady that worked there that night said that they could keep it there to air dry. I mean, what are we paying for!?! We paid to have the laundry washed and DRIED(in 24 hours)!!!! And she was suggesting air drying things that would take days to air dry - clearly a ridiculous idea because any person who has ever actually done laundry on a normal basis knows that things that were that wet would take days to air dry! After talking to her she agreed to dry the items again but it was so late at night that they could not do dry it completely - so we decided to cut our losses and take our laundry back to dry in several batches long into the night in our own dryer at home so our dogs would have beds to sleep in that night. Overall very disappointed in the service especially for the price they charge ($1.25/lb with a 10lb minimum). read more

Was a long time customer till I was treated with the upmost disrespect over one of their washers not running after I paid. Came back to my clothes dry and asked the employee for help who was very rude. After grabbing and dropping my clothes on the floor to check them even though you could clearly see the soap and they were dry, He asked to see my bank account and take a picture of it for proof of the payment. He called an equally rude manager who never spoke to me and then told me to just pay again. That it was not a charge on my account from them even with their name on it and it would be returned. It wasn't of course. Not sure why they'd think the bank or card machine would know the washer never ran but obviously I was not giving them anymore of my money. I'm a single mother who couldn't afford to lose that and I was also on break and lost over an hour time from work. After having to remove all my clothes losing 5 loads of soap as well, I asked for an owner. I got an email. I quickly emailed the owner completely upset and still they did nothing. Their response was to write a review on google saying it was normal and justified it! But never responding to mine! I had to go to another laundry mat losing more time and money. They've done nothing to make it right even though they've all seen the charge! The washers are old and don't wash well as it is. And clearly they don't care about their customers. Beware!! read more

I first discovered Grand Central Laundry about a year ago and did my own washing & drying. The machines were both large and efficient. On leaving I saw that they have a wash and fold service. That's what I have been doing since then. I usually do most of my outside of the house chores on the same day. I start by dropping off my laundry here and by the time I have finished all my other running around my laundry is ready to pick up. Last week the lady gave me a $20 bill that she found in the dryer that my clothes were in. As I was getting in the truck to leave I thought about her honesty and went back in and asked her for change for a $20 and thanked her and gave her $10. I pass 3 other laundromats to get to Lucy's. They are clean and well maintained, have great prices, helpful staff always available (they will even help you if you are a rookie and need laundry instructions.) FREE WI-FI, 3 tv's, play area with toys, great AC, large sinks to rinse muddy clothing, lots of machines in 4 sizes, lots of tables for folding clothes, lots of rolling baskets, and supplies (detergent, fabric softeners, bleach, etc) are reasonably priced. Owners are local and family oriented. Clean restroom, drink/snack machines, and free coffee. Security cameras (at least one) give me a feeling of safety so I'm not stressing about laundry thieves. This laundromat is great and I recommend it to everyone. read more

While I like the large washers and dryers and the fair pricing. The place looks run down inside. It's like they built it and do minimum work. The older women who is usually here is rather rude to people here. The staff never seem to do anything about the people hanging around on weekends panhandling and bother people trying to do laundry. The "childrens" areas are so disgusting almost all the toys and books are sticky and broken. So it's a good place if you keep to yourself and do what you need to do but it's no place to bring your child or ask questions from staff. read more

Hot, fast, inexpensive dryers and a helpful staff with inexpensive supplies (if you happen to forget yours like I did) are enough to keep me going to Lucy's when I need a laundromat. But, you can add clean floors, wifi, efficient air conditioning and a clean bathroom! There is even an inviting, cheerful area for children set aside for children.
