And I was told when asking some questions "Do you want me to do your clothes or you go do it yourself?!" Looks like a husband and wife business. But always so rude. I wish I could zero stars. I brought in a dress to get altered weeks before event. She tells she will get it done early but it will be ready by date.NO CALL . Event is postponed but still no call. I come in to get dress I tell her I didn't receive a call . She says on it was done and ready you could have gotten it early. I get the dress . It looks untouched I pointed it out and she says she will get it and get it done for me and I refused to get any more service. The dress fit just like it did when I brought it in . I saw visible alteration but what she told me she was gonna do to fix issue was not seen on dress. I got a third of my money back . The dress was 75 dollars . Ms. Kim is one of my favorite seamstresses in Augusta. She is talented, kind, and quick. Her prices may not be the lowest in town, but you try what you pay for. I don't mind at all paying for peace of mind that my garment will come back perfect. I brought my bridesmaid dress there recently, it was done in a week and I probably spent a total of 15 minutes in the building. Highly recommend! read more

Such a rude and condescending lady. She charged $28 dollars to see in a zipper on a dress. I went to her shop on Tuesday for the first time ever in my life and she said dress would be ready Friday. I go Friday to pay and pull out my card to pay and she snaps and yells that my credit card machine is broke.. I told you that last week... Uhh I told her .. No, I just came to your shop for the first time this week... she snaps ... oh well I told somebody...you cannot use card here and I will need cash... I looked around and said.." I don't see any signs saying cash only or machine is down...she rudely says... oh well.. you will just have to go back and get money then . I will never go there again and would never recommend anyone use her services. Rude and condescending!! read more

There is no way I can leave less than 5 stars for Ms. Kim as she helped me when I had an emergency right before closing time. I picked up some pants for my husband from Jos A. Bank with a prior understanding that I would be able to get them hemmed that day. Unfortunately the seamstress was already gone and I was stuck with unhemmed pants for a man who was to be leaving on a plane the next morning. I asked if there were any recommendations for alterations elsewhere and he called Kim's Alterations and she willingly volunteered. I left Jos A. Bank around 4:30 and arrived at Kim's at around 4:45. When I got there, Ms. Kim was ready for action. She promised a 30 minute finish time and when I got back, the pants were already done. She even charged me much less than Jos A. Bank's normal price. Her work was beautifully done and she definitely gained a new loyal customer. Kim's is located on Wrightsboro Rd down the street from the Post Office and in the shopping plaza in front of Walmart and between Baldino's and Wendy's. It is very easy to locate off of Wrightsboro. Did a great job on my ACU scrub top! The gentleman was very polite, quick, and professional about getting the adjustments just right. It took about 3 days and with the amount of work done, I'd say that was a good/fast amount of time. I can see why this place gets good ratings. I had a suit fitted perfectly by them. They hemmed the pants, shortened the sleeves, and narrowed the jacket. They did very well, they matched the stitching perfectly. My new suit looks like a custom made piece just for me. It cost me $92. I feel like it was a fair price for the alterations they did. read more

Being a fashion junkie, I tend to buy clothes that I don't necessarily like but end up tweeking them to my liking. Since I don't have sewing machine available at home, I do the next best thing, take it to a talented seamtress. This place is great for me. I have sewing skills but don't have the equipment at the present time, so I can tell the seamtress here my vision and they bring it to life. I have had them alter tons of my clothes. At one time I would design pieces and buy the fabric and they would create the exact piece I had pictured in my head. I frequented this place so much at one time, she told me I should be a fashion designer....little did she know that's what I went to school for...lol!!! But all in all, this place is great for small alterations or something more major, and they are quite resonable in price as well!!!! read more

Went here on a tip from Kandis A. Had a couple skirts hemmed here--they did a great job, although a little pricey for my taste. Only did what was told and ignored a missing hook and eye closure I forgot to mention. Other than that--very nice people and will be going back. read more

I moved to Augusta from NY city, where i had the perfect seamstress. Finally thought i had landed something with Kim --brought a new/unworn pair of jeans for alteration. over charged me $25 for single item. Not only did she take it in too much but when I asked for it to be taken out she argued saying she wouldn't. Knowing she had done a poor job she finally agreed but then never did!! i picked up the jeans and they were the unchanged (still "overtaken" in). Never will come again! I miss NYC read more
