I have been going to this woman for YEARS, whether it be for casual wear, formal wear, tops, bottoms - you name it. I need most of my clothes hemmed for my height. But I was SO offended by how I was treated this morning. Last year, I took a bridesmaids dress to her 1 time, to which she kindly said "I'm not taking formal wear" to which I was assuming due to influx of formal wear due to wedding season. I haven't seen her until this time, which was this morning. This morning, I took 1 plain black polyester dress to her to ask if she could hem the bottom for me. I saw a sign on the door that said no formal dresses. I was under the impression it was not a formal dress due to the material and simplicity, but I'm no expert. When I walked in, she raised her voice to say "Stop bringing formal dresses!" This was in a very rude way, and in front of another customer. I had only taken her ONE formal dress to her the year before, as mentioned. I believe this could have been addressed in a kind manner due to "misunderstanding." But REGARDLESS, I feel like you shouldn't talk to customers like that - or any person for that matter! I refuse to support this business anymore read more

I highly recommend Sun Fashions for any of your alteration needs. I have used this business numerous occasions with clothes I brought in for various types of alterations. She does an outstanding job and knows just how to professionally fix / alter a dress. I brought in a skirt that was two sizes too small and she was able to alter it where it fit perfectly. Even the small white hearts were lined up perfectly on the waistband. I brought in a floor length gown and it had it cut off and hemmed to knee length. Again a perfect job. She altered a full length Queen's dress that was for a Halloween party. The top fit perfectly. I'm taking two dresses I bought on a sale rack at David's Bridal to her today for alterations. I know she will do an excellent job altering them to fit perfectly. read more

I asked for a simple hem. When I picked up my trousers the seam of the hem was completely crooked. A asked her to sew a straight hemline. She replied with attitude that suggested expecting a straight hem line was being difficult. I would suggest another alteration shop. read more

Recently learned of this alteration shop and used it for the hemming of six pairs of men's shorts. They were professional and fairly quick (4 days). The work was done well and we were satisfied. Will recommend to others and use again. read more

This WAS a great buisness. NOW, I would never recommend them to anyone. They had my daughters dress for two weeks. Failed to provide it on promised days and times twice. And now, the day of prom, they are refusing to release the dress even though they are fully aware of who is picking up the dress. There were only two minor alterations needed. I don't know what changed, but I am disgusted by their conduct. Finally they released the dress and it isn't even done properly. read more

On 2/28/15 i went to Sun Fashion to have the sleeves of a blazer hemmed and dry cleaned. She charged me $31.42 which seems to be very pricey for one item. The sales person asked me to pay in advance. When I returned to pick up my blazer, another woman in line before me paid for her was picking her items up and paid with a check. I have taken several items to her over the past years and I do not plan to return to this store. And I do not recommend anyone going to this store. read more

The lady who owns the place is not very friendly. I had 3 pairs of shorts that needed buttons and a pocket stitched. I was charged $12.00. Every time I go in there the price is different. The last time I had 3 shorts that needed buttons it was $6.00. I had to wait 2 weeks. That wasn't a problem I didn't need them right away. The problem is she never has my order ready when she says they will be ready. When I go to pick them up she say they not ready yet can come back later? You, would think she could be a little more friendly since she is inconveniencing me. I've been a customer for 3 years now. Not anymore! read more
