Don't bother with these idiots. They missed 4 appointments over 3 days. They won't call. When you call them they'll make up some excuse.

TLC Plumbing - Experience the difference with a little "TLC"

TLC Plumbing

(22 reviews)

Maybe I should leave two ratings. One for today and one for a couple of weeks ago. I had an…read moreexcellent experience with the plumber who did new piping and ran it to my boiler to fix a blocked water line. He was fast efficient and had high end tools and his finished work was a work of art. I watch workers to learn and he was very efficient. Today was different. TLC's Eric came to my house to CHANGE OUT a plastic water line to a copper line for a refrigerator. He did everything manually.. cutting with hand saw and was very slow. He didn't have the efficiencies of modern tools. He was inexperienced and messy soldering leaving pieces of scrap tin-looking pieces on my floor, dropped on my sump pump cover and in a utility bucket that I provided to him to catch water. He took longer to install a fridge line than the first TLC rep who cut and created a custom multi-cut and soldered line to feed my boiler. The total to replace a plastic line was more expensive than furnace repair. He charged 3plus hours to replace a plastic fridge line to a copper line. The basement pipes were exposed so he had many options to tap for the water source. He arrived at 8am and walked out my house to write the bill at 10:27. He tried to charge from 7:30-11am which included the 23 mins to write up the invoice which he rounded up to 30mins. He said he forgot he started at 8, not 7:30. He charged an extra 60 mins. When I called him on it he said oh let me fix that. I called and company said they charge for his time to write invoice... ok but 23 mins rounded up to 30 mins at regular rates...hmmm Eric needs more practice but I don't want him doing any more jobs for me not at those rates and for the caliber of work he did. SMH night and day---same company. I will ask for experienced rep... upset I used them the second time. Rated 3 which is averaged for the 2 experiences. 5 star was first rep: 1 star for Eric.

What is painfully apparent is the gross negligence in the decision to utilize a disconnected employee to conduct a vital inspection. Had proper discernment been applied, it would have mitigated the associated failures. This inspection should have been completed following the Veterans Administration Minimum Property Requirements, not the pencil-whipped document submitted for closing. The representative of your company assigned to conduct the VA-required inspection submitted a notice of resignation from your company before executing the contracted inspection. The associate disturbed a few inches of the topsoil to give the appearance that the inspection was completed, violating the minimum property requirements. This further demonstrated that there was zero motivation to exercise proper discernment to do the job correctly because the associate's mind was already moving onward with their new career path.   If done correctly by a qualified and dedicated professional, the inspection would have identified the crushed pipe under the sidewalk and never passed the rigid requirements of the Veterans Administration's inspection outline.   Therefore, the VA inspection would have failed, shifting the required repair to the property seller before closing on the property.  You and your co-workers unearthed the 8-foot concrete lid of the septic tank that day to gain access, graphing in an access portal afterward to conduct the inspection properly. Your co-workers identified additional failures in how that inspection was not performed correctly and shared those findings candidly with my wife. I have the photos and video conversations outlining the whole process.  Contact me when you decide to have a rational adult conversation about this. You have my phone number.
