Egg drop, Mongolian beef and chicken

I am so disappointed. We just picked up Mongolian beef, garlic chicken, and egg drop soup. $40+. It's not even edible and I'm not sure I have ever had food we did not eat. The egg drop has NO smell or flavor. It's syrup-y. The entrees have no flavor. Watery, chewy, even with hot sauce and soy sauce. The sad thing is is that even when you look at it visually it does not look good. The fried rice is just rice with soy sauce on it.

Get the wonton soup-the wantons had a good chewiness which indicated they're homemade. The rich broth had a ton of flavor. Orange chicken had a perfect crunch and wasn't the typical over fried and breaded crap most restaurants serve. The spice had a nice hit kick too. Vegetables in the cashew chicken were ample and thick so they weren't soggy. It had good flavor and wasn't mild spice-wise. The servers were lovely and fast. I recommend!

Food tastes good!! All of it..i would say its the best within colorado springs. Servings, its on the worst side. Both pictures are worth $100. 1 order is not enough for 1 person. Theyre busy so order ahead.

Very subpar Chinese food experience for us. We ordered takeout and noticed an odd smell immediately. The host was very nice but stated it would take about 15 min when it in fact took less than 3 minutes. This and the appearance of the food made us believe it had been ready and sitting for a while so definitely not fresh. The lo mein has a different and strange taste and honestly looks like just oily spaghetti. Super disappointed and still searching for a decent Chinese place we can frequent.

Still my favorite Chinese restaurant in all of El Paso County. Great service. Clean. Consistently delicious and made to order. I highly recommend. I wish it wasn't so far from my house! Owners changed but still great.

This place was a delight from the beginning until the end. We were greeted with a welcoming smile and parted with the same smile. The menu was simple and easy to read through. The lay out felt cozy which was very nice. The jasmine tea was delicious and came out in a small press type set up. Adorable. The food though! What a hit with the family. Their homemade pork and green onion dumpling with a slightly spicy dipping sauce were out of this world! I got a beef noodle soup, my husband got the egg foo young and my daughter got the chicken lo mein. Everything was delicious. We couldn't find a negative thing about this place and can't wait to come back and eat again!

Sesame Pumpkin Pancakes (ordered to go)

We loved getting takeout from Lanshing Cafe frequently many years ago, but haven't been in a long time after moving away from the neighborhood. I'm happy to report it is just as good if not better than we remember it! We ordered online and picked up our food to go, the online ordering time estimate was nearly perfect and very quick! I wanted to try something that the average American Chinese restaurant doesn't have, so I ordered the noodles with black bean sauce based on previous Yelp reviews. This was a new dish for me so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I really liked the rich flavor and the thick creamy texture added to the noodles. The pickled radish complemented it well. I wish they had a vegetarian version so that others I was with could have tried it! We also ordered the shrimp with seasonal vegetables, the crab meat cheese wontons, and the sesame pumpkin pancakes. Everything was very good, especially the sauces! The pancakes made the perfect dessert, the sauce added a balanced sweetness to the sesame and pumpkin, and the pancake texture was soft and slightly chewy inside with the lightly fried/sesame coated exterior. I can't wait to order food here again next time I'm in the neighborhood!

I recently moved back down to springs from northern colorado where I had so many choices for various authentic Asian food, today on Christmas I was in search of a good place to pick up food and I was amazed at the unique authentic dishes this restaurant serves and also how close it is to me! I love Jajangmyeon and was surprised cause not many restaurants in southern Colorado serve it and usually have to go up north so that was already a win!The Jajangmyeon and Taiwan style beef noodle soup is amazing and I'll be back to try all the Szechuan dishes!

The Hot Spot seems to be under Vietnamese ownership, judging from the big Karaoke setup in the middle of the room and the surround music being Vietnamese songs. I'm sure this place becomes lively when there is a party and people take to their singing skills. But on this regular Saturday afternoon, it was not even half filled. Customers have a choice of ordering regular Vietnamese fares or be seated at a hot pot table to enjoy cooking your own food. One nice thing about The Hot Spot is that we weren't limited to 90 min or 2 hours. Could be because it was during a slow time. Food wise it was far from an elaborate hot pot experience. The broths don't have distinctive flavors from one another and there lacks a sauce station! Which is a signature hot pot spot! The meats, when brought out, especially the beef slices, tend to be on the darker hue, to me that signals less fresh. And the booth seats aren't the most comfortable. I think they make shift to turn the booth tables into hot pot compatible where the outlets are in the way of your knees (if you're tall and have long legs) or if short like me, the seats feel sunken. All in all, it was still a fun experience for AYCE hot pot, especially when not under time pressure and the staff is friendly albeit not the fastest.

Upon arrival, it was very crowded and very different from your typical pho restaurant. They played loud dance/house/techno music with lights flashing. The restaurant itself is small, probably has less than 15 tables. It took us awhile to get our water and for someone to take out order. We knew right away that our lunch experience will take a long time. We ordered spring rolls, their chicken wings naked, and their pho. I was not impressed with their spring rolls. It was all rice paper and was small. Didn't think it was worth the $8. Our pho broth itself was pretty decent but the meat that came with it was far and few. Don't expect to get a lot with your portion. My son left there hungry. If you want pho, I would try some other places. I admit to being a Pho snob but this place did not disappoint. The shrimp and pork spring rolls were fresh and filled with crunchy veggies. It came out piping hot with lots of fresh veggies, lots of lime and homemade chili paste. The broth was very flavorful without being too fatty and the steak melted in your mouth. I may have found my new Pho spot and can't wait to try their wings! Also, the business partner/server Uriah was super friendly and service was top notch. TIp your servers extra this season. The tantan is a bit more mellow, but still a great option. Their bulgogi is also very good with sweet and umami flavors.
