What the hell? Why has it taken me so long to review this place? I've been coming here for a year and a half or so, and it's literally the only Chinese food place that I get food from regularly. I love this restaurant and it always makes my heart happy when I see it busy. I wouldn't call it "authentic Chinese" food... but I also don't think most people around here would care for authentic Chinese food. Their Happy Family dish is just fantastic. Mixed meats (BBQ pork, chicken, beef, shrimp) with a bunch of veggies (carrots, baby corn, cucumber, and I think bok choy) and a delicious sauce. Top some rice with this and it's a total meal. But it's Chinese food, so why stop there? Their combination drunken noodle is probably my favorite noodle dish. Again, mixed meats with thin wide noodles, just a touch of spice, and absolutely fantastic flavor. I think my absolute favorite dish here is the house style Kung Pao shrimp. Oh. My. God. Sweet. Spicy. Fried. Shrimp. How can you go wrong!? Well, I think literally the only downside is that the fried shrimp get soggy by the next day, but that's out of their control. As someone else mentioned, having noodles in the egg drop soup is... unique. It's not unpleasant and, like I mentioned, I wouldn't consider this authentic anyhow. To the dummy who said "something throughout the soup"... yeah. THAT'S THE EGG DROP. Some people are so dense. Anyhow... the hot and sour soup is great though. Spicy, savory, great flavor. Good good good. I've only eaten here once or twice I think, but I've gotten my food to go so many times I've lost count. The atmosphere here is nice. It's mostly quiet, the staff are attentive. The "main lady" I'll call her, who usually runs the front of the house, is very friendly and nice, and recognizes me which always makes me feel valued. Recently was looking for a new Chinese food place, after moving near Black Forest. We got Sweet and Sour chicken and it was tough and heavily breaded, not like how it is normally made at other places. The next item was chicken fried rice. The rice was over cooked and hard, the chicken was poorly seasoned and bland. I also ordered pork pot stickers. This is by far THE BEST egg foo young I have ever had! The egg patties are super thick and fluffy but light crunch on the outside. They are filled with fresh veggies...and no meat! (This is the game changer). The rich brown sauce that goes on the patties contains all of the BBQ pork! The pork is sliced super thin and with so much flavor...melt in your mouth! This is a very large portion, but totally worth it when you can have leftovers of this decadence over and over again! I ordered 2 of the lunch specials for delivery and once the food got here I tried the general Tao's chicken and it tasted like orange chicken so I assumed they got mixed up, except the general Tao's wasn't supposed to be spicy. I called to let them know and their solution was to switch and eat the other dish. I told them no I wanted the general Tao's not orange which is why I ordered that, so I took the wrong one up to get fixed. Once I got there they were adamant that what I had was correct. I've had the general Tao's from China Recipe many times and know that it doesn't taste like orange. And the orange chicken they claimed to be, didn't taste like orange. All I wanted was for the food to be remade and the cook that made it decided to come out and argue with me about it saying he was right and the proceeded to walk away and call me stupid. My son, who is Korean & though adopted to us at age 2, he returned to South Korea & lived there for 10 years teaching Koreans about American English, both written & spoken. He did this in his mid 20's to mid-30's. He really likes some of their Meals, especially the hotter spicier Dishes!!! We have been going here quite a while now since we moved out east and I would say that I am very skeptical and a critic when it comes to asian food that said this place is amazing! Our typical to go order would include a lo mien, a vegetable dish, a chicken/seafood dish and an appetizer or two. So far the food hasn't disappoint us although there are probably some times that a piece of chicken is hard to chew or pieces of veggies needs to be cooked a little bit more but other than that it is always been flavorful, generous and no unidentified object along with the food which just means it is clean lol. Their sweet and sour sauce is not consistent with the texture and consistency. There are times that it is watery and there are also times that it is almost looks like a jello. The place (from my opinion) needs more lightning, it seems dark if you try to dine in. Staff are okay I think they need to be a little bit more welcoming and helpful but I am not saying that they are not nice but could be better. read more

I am so disappointed with this restaurant, I ordered a large egg drop soup off their website and everything was fine till i got the soup and i noticed a few things. For one it had corn and pasta noodles in it and i have never had egg drop soup with either of those items in it. Plus they don't have the ingredients listed anywhere on their website. I was going to give it a chance because I've never had it with those items I was just surprised, but as i'm stirring it a slimy gooey something is floating all throughout the soup it looked disgusting. I could not eat the soup because it was so unappetizing and i didn't trust whatever i saw in the soup. I decided to call the restaurant and ask for a refund because i wasn't able to eat it and i wouldn't have ordered from them if they'd listed the ingredients of their egg drop soup. Either way the lady on the phone interrupted me from the start and refused to get the manager for me after telling me my order didn't exist even tho i placed it fifteen minutes prior on their website. Then i told her i could come in and show her my receipt and the line when silent and she ended up hanging up on me and sent my call to voicemail when i tried to call again. This is the only place you need to go! Family owned and operated. I prefer family owned places vs the chain places as a family owned establishment thrives from good service and food where chain places treat you like crap and can because there are more customers waiting. This is the best Chinese food you will eat Outside mainland china! If they do not have what you want on the menu they will make it for you! We eat here about twice a week now and it has become our favorite place to go. The family is very kind and the food is delicious. If you want good Chinese food give it a try.
