Wonton and egg drop soup
Leah S.

Ordered pickup online. Plenty of options to choose from and wrll organized menu. We got the lunch beef fried rice and chicken crispy noodle. They came with soup and choice of egg roll or wonton. The wonton soup was delicious with two wrll stuffed tender wontons and flavorful broth. Egg rolls were nicely fried. The beef fried rice did need additional soy sauce and some salt but was great after that. Lots of big pieces of meat and veggies. They added bean sprouts for us too! The chicken was perfect just as it is! During pickup the restaurant and bathrooms were clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and courteous. Overall great experience!

Chinese spareribs
Jerry L.

This is not authentic Chinese food. It's a poor imitation of Americanized Chinese cuisine. We started with the Chinese spareribs, which had the potential to be good, but they were smothered in an overwhelming sauce. I ordered the pan-fried dumplings, which were mushy and tasteless. They weren't pan-fried at all--just deep-fried. Pan-fried dumplings have a distinct look and texture, and these clearly did not. The Mongolian beef tasted more like black pepper beef, and it was not enjoyable. My wife ordered the chicken with garlic sauce, which had no flavor whatsoever. On the positive side, the service was attentive, the tables were clean, and the décor consisted of generic tourist-style paintings. If you enjoy low-quality Chinese food, you might consider dining here. Personally, I can't recommend this place, and I will not be returning.

Chicken lo-mein and Hunan chicken.
Randall B.

Not great. The Hunan chicken was mostly shredded onion and peppers. Very little chicken. Maybe an ounce of actual chicken. The portion of the Hunan chicken was noticeably smaller. Even the container was smaller (pictured) than the chicken lo-mein. The chicken lo-mein was waxy and had a funky plastic flavor. Not a fan. For the price of $16 each I was pretty disappointed. The value combined with the mentioned issues doesn't have me wanting to return. The place was clean, bright and lots of parking but for me, this just wasn't it.

No crab just cheese

Ordered take out from this place for the first time. Fried rice was not fried rice it was just white rice mixed with soy sauce. The crab cheese wonton had zero crab in them it was just filled with cream cheese and nothing else.

Beef and broccoli

Our first time here. ABSOLUTELY MUST COME BACK. This basically a new restaurant in the Springs area and we very strongly recommend it. We tried the steamed dumplings, beef skewers, fried shrimp and chicken wings also. YES their menu is fantastic and the establishment is very very clean. The staff has been great as well. Did I mention they had our food out fast and you can tell the make it here. NO boxed or frozen prepackaged stuff in here. TRY IT NOW!!!

Now that I have discovered dragon king I feel at peace because I know my Chinese cravings will always be satisfied. I ordered takeout from here the last night and found it friendly, affordable and delicious. My order exceeded expectations and all of the staff were genuine and friendly. The tofu pad Thai was flavorful and unique in that it didn't have bean sprouts or lime, but instead was served with lemon that added a sweet citrus aftertaste. I enjoyed the veggies mixed in and it wasn't spicy (not sure if you can ask for more spice). The general tsos tofu was phenomenal and knocked my socks off! It is one of my favorite dishes to begin with and dragon king blew it out of the water. The sauce is so good and a little bit sweet. The tofu in both dishes was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Lots of veggies in the tofu dish as well and accompanied by a side of steamed rice. It wouldn't be a true Chinese feast without vegetarian egg rolls, which had the most audible crunch and great flavor. So tasty to dip the hot tasty egg roll in the sweet and sour sauce. The meal was ended with a tasty fortune cookie Huge portions so you will have leftovers even if you eat multiple servers. Such a great value. I am making this my new spot for Chinese food!

Crab rangoons
Ashley S.

Honestly the food here was not very good. We were looking forward to it since the reviews were so good, but my pad Thai had no flavor or seasonings whatsoever and my husband's Mongolian beef was the same way. The pad Thai was extremely dry, and I usually like a saucier pad Thai. But it's just my preference, you may really enjoy it. I will say that the egg drop soup and rangoons were very good though.

Steamed rice

We ordered takeout for our Easter Sunday dinner. I got the sesame tofu with steamed rice and my husband the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. The portions were large (we had leftovers for the next day) and the food was still hot when my husband brought it home. Since my husband called in the order and picked it up--I can't really speak to the atmosphere and service. Our food was good so we'd try them again.

(Lunch) Beef Lo Mein

We love eating out at family owned restaurants. We saw Dragon King on Yelp and had to try it. We gave not found a great Chinese food in CO. Springs until we ate here. The restaurant was very clean and staff very friendly and quick to help us. The food was unbelievable good. I got the Gen Tso's Chicken and my wife got Lo Mein Beef. The flavor just popped in your mouth and I knew we found our Chinese restaurant.

These are hands down the best pupusas I've ever had. The Chilaquiles are pupusas folded in half. I love that they're all covered in sauce and toppings. It really enhances the flavors. We got the pupusa in green chili sauce and plantains and both were amazing. I appreciated that they didn't need to doll it up. They just let the good food speek for itself. The pupusas were a nice mix of savory, tangy, and the plantains were carmilized on their own sugars. No notes. Now here are some notes. It is packed most of the time so get there early. We went once on a friday and everyone was shoulder to shoulder waiting for a table. The music level was also one that got to my wife. Luckily we were sitting further away from it but if we were closer I don't think we could have had a good conversation. The final one that got me was the plastic cups. This seems like such an easy fix and is such a bumber. The best way to give themselves a little extra time for dishes and reduce the cloud is probably just too open up a new location. All that being said, they are still great.

Here, it did not. The scramble was bland, the seasoning barely perceptible, and the burrito lacked anything resembling a defining flavor. Cholula provided most of the excitement. A single slice of orange arrived alongside it, less a garnish than an afterthought. The dish ultimately tasted like precisely what it appeared to be: tofu dusted with turmeric and wrapped in a tortilla. The service model was equally puzzling. Drinks are collected yourself, dishes are cleared yourself, water is not brought to the table, and my meal arrived with a fork but no knife. None of this is inherently objectionable, but it helps to explain the system, particularly to first-time visitors. A restaurant cannot expect guests to understand its rules when no one bothers to tell them what they are. The coffee was good, though sweeteners required another small scavenger hunt. Perhaps regulars know exactly where everything is, clear their plates without thinking, and return happily for the atmosphere. For a visitor, however, the "vibes" were doing considerably more work than the kitchen.

The Hot Spot seems to be under Vietnamese ownership, judging from the big Karaoke setup in the middle of the room and the surround music being Vietnamese songs. I'm sure this place becomes lively when there is a party and people take to their singing skills. But on this regular Saturday afternoon, it was not even half filled. Customers have a choice of ordering regular Vietnamese fares or be seated at a hot pot table to enjoy cooking your own food. One nice thing about The Hot Spot is that we weren't limited to 90 min or 2 hours. Could be because it was during a slow time. Food wise it was far from an elaborate hot pot experience. The broths don't have distinctive flavors from one another and there lacks a sauce station! Which is a signature hot pot spot! The meats, when brought out, especially the beef slices, tend to be on the darker hue, to me that signals less fresh. And the booth seats aren't the most comfortable. I think they make shift to turn the booth tables into hot pot compatible where the outlets are in the way of your knees (if you're tall and have long legs) or if short like me, the seats feel sunken. All in all, it was still a fun experience for AYCE hot pot, especially when not under time pressure and the staff is friendly albeit not the fastest.

To access patrons must be brought to the park entrance by a bus run by the park. At the park entrance a 3 $20.00+/- must be purchased and the patron can walk through the park on a paved path or go by electric vehicle to the restaurant (bus and electric vehicle are handicap equipped and provided at no additional cost). The distance from park entrance to the restaurant is about.8 miles ant the scenery is jaw dropping. The park is in a box canyon with sheer walls of between 500 feet and 950 feet and the whole path is through a mature forest with astr running along side. Once at the restaurant youwill find a taste fully furnished restaurant in the mountain retreat style an outdoor covered patio ant the base of the 7 falls. Guests may use elevator to ascend to an observation deck built into the cliff or ascend by stairs along the falls. The restaurant itself serves upscale food for both lunch and dinner. Meal price varies between about 20 dollars per person and 90 dollars per person including beverages and desert. The food is ordered lactate. The staff from mattered to wait staff is outstanding! Many are repeat foreign people from English speaking countries who are trained and very what to provide excellent service. My dining experience from a food service standpoint was not up to Broadmore standards it was in some cases served cold under cooked and missing menu noted ingredients. All unacceptable food was replaced with B other menu items there was a satisfactory bill adjustment and we were provided complementary desserts. I attribute the deficient food quality to kitchen personnel still being trained to resort standards and a one time issue. B sat other times including my 1973 honeymoon I have received excellent food service and memorable meals. N I will not hesitate to return and encourage others to enjoy a terrific resort park experience and hopefully Broadmore level properly prepared menu items. We were looking for an outdoor activity that showcased some of the beauty of Colorado along with a meal. Seven Falls and Restaurant 1858 appeared to fit that bill perfectly. The location is stunning. The falls and surrounding areas are gorgeous. It's a nice little physically activity on the way to your meal that allows you to enjoy the outdoors while still being accessible to people of varying ages and fitness levels. I looked at the menu before choosing to come here and was prepared for a large bill with the high prices. The pictures looked phenomenal, and I don't mind paying a high price for the beautiful setting and a delicious meal. But the food was mediocre at best. We ordered the charred brussel sprouts, which appeared steamed or baked and then lidded, with no char or crisp at all. We also got the bacon wrapped shrimp and nachos, which were decent. Kind of insane for $30 for 4 shrimp, but they tasted OK. My daughter ordered the steak and frites, and said it tasted weird. My husband and I tried a bite and it was rancid. The potatoes that came with this steak were the best thing on the table, to be honest. Beautifully crispy and perfectly seasoned. They took the steak back and removed it from the bill, but quite a disappointment. Everyone else's meals were OK, no one was enthusiastic about their dishes, from the hot honey chicken sandwich to the Canyon Bowl. We were hoping none of us would feel any repercussions from the steak that has gone bad. The person who has the Canyon Bowl with pork ended up violently ill for 24 hours beginning 12 hours after consumption. We could blame it on other things they ate, but this was the only thing that they alone ate, and no one else was ill. Considering the condition of the steak, perhaps the refrigeration had gone down for a time? I'm not sure what happened there, but for the price, I really had higher hopes for the meal. If the meal had been a better experience, this is a place we would add to our list of must-do's for out of town guests, but we won't be back, sadly. Side note - You do have to take a shuttle from the parking lot to the entrance to the Seven Falls park, and you do have to pay for entry to the Seven Falls park to access the restaurant. We arrived an hour before our reservation time, as they suggested, and were still 15 minutes late for our reservation, so make sure you allow maybe 1.5 hours.
