I had the chance to visit here for lunch after seeing it a few times. It was pretty quiet and not a lot of traffic on the day I came in. The waitress greeted me with a smile and said I could sit anywhere I liked. The atmosphere was nice. They had two tvs playing with soft music in the background. I ordered a shrimp, crawfish, sausage and corn boil. I didn't eat the sausage after reading a few reviews, but everything was okay! We are landlocked so I don't wasn't expecting anything fresh and the price was a little steep for lunch and items that are not fresh!

This establishment is clean and has a simple layout, I like it. We ordered Mahalo fish and a shrimp po boy. The seafood is fresh and the sauce that comes with, we chose Dave's sauce, was garlicky buttery Cajun spiced goodness. Seasoning on the fries was great and the ranch was homemade. The employees are so friendly and accommodating. We will absolutely be back to try a crab boil.

This place is absolutely disgusting, I spent almost $100 here and the food was gross. Don't spend your money here.

Ask the Community - Boil Daddy

Do they boil live crawfish, or do they have to be dead prior to the boil?

Crawfish always have to be boiled alive.

I have officially met a god and the name of this god is Front Range Barbeque. For this first trip,…read moreI went to their Academy location. The first thing that stood out was the smell. I have not experienced that since my second to last trip to Michigan, and the best way to describe the smell is that the most glorious cuts of proteins are waiting for your palate. The inside of the place has a rustic sort of appearance and the parking doesn't cost anything - you're basically walking into a cabin full of what I am sure are culinary gods. For this particular order, I went with the three meat combo with two sides. For my proteins, I went with kielbasa, pulled pork and burnt ends. The kielbasa itself is royalty on a plate - the perfect balance of smoke, char and spices. Hall of fame worthy and it more than puts any other place's offerings to the test - Slows BBQ of Detroit, as much as I love you all, Front Range delivers perfection here. The pulled pork was next, and it too was perfection - great amount of moisture still in it and the taste made my taste buds sing. The burnt ends? Generous portions and when paired with the sweet and spicy sauce, it is like candy cut from a rib of perfection. The sides were next. I'm not exactly sure what they put into the potato salad, but the bacon had a perfect crunch and the potatoes themselves had a pleasant smoky taste that is the perfect ratio. The fried okra itself you could easily eat by the bucket, which speaks volumes to me. I even ended up walking out with a cookbook on hand and a bottle of mustard wine sauce. The owners did their homework here, and delivered a feast worthy of Mt. Olympus itself. If you're in the area and on the hunt for perfection, look no further - this palace of proteins is all you even need to know about. I live for the day when the owner behind this masterpiece is on BBQ Brawl and destroys the competition enough to let Colorado reign forever.

I will…read morepreface this by saying I went in at 6pm on a Friday when they had live music later and were busy I wanted a take out order of ribs. Was told to go to the bar and order. During the 35 minutes the order took (fine if good) I sat at the bar and NOT ONE STAFF MEMBER asked if I wanted a glass of water, beer, hemlock...nothing! I was completely ignored for 35 Minutes. Couple wait staff even asked the bartender why I was sitting there, but they never acknowledged me either Loved the beans, salad was great. Now comes the main feature....the ribs! Now I LOVE burnt ends, but this was ridiculous! I have high end German cutlery that would not hack through the outer crust without sawing. I tried two bites and my jaw was literally sore from chewing so in the trash it went! $25 for a small salad and beans and no service at all!

I would love to shout out our waitress, however, I don't know her name. But she was the perfect balance of attentiveness and understanding that we were probably on a first date with how much we kept talking. She was really sweet on taking our orders, and checking in on us. For drinks my day got an old old-fashioned, which I ended up trying- and it was pretty good. I personally got the Cosmo and it was decent. I'm generally more of a gin and tonic, but it was still delicious. For food, we got the fried mac & cheese, balls, and crab stuffed mushrooms. Both had such a great flavor. And I think our favorite was dipping the bread from the crab, stuffed mushrooms in the garlic mixture at the. For entrée, my date got the halibut. And honestly, the sauce was amazing. For my lobster rolls they were both very fresh and delicious. But honestly, I could not eat both. Overall, this was such a great place for our first date, and I would honestly be back for more of the food and the best service. The only knock a star was truly for price point. It's definitely on the price your side even going at lunchtime.

We got two apps, the Prince Edward Island mussels and the black garlic fries. The fries came in a massive bowl for like $10 which was a nice deal especially with the housemade aioli. I got the catch of the day which, I believe, was a blackened red snapper with a creole sauce, potatoes, and asparagus. My sister got a tower and was very pleased with the freshness of the oysters. Our server was Doug and he was awesome! He gave us some extra hollandaise and aioli to go with our leftovers. He also recommended using some of the leftover lobster for breakfast with some eggs and my sister is obsessed. Thanks for the great service!
