Full disclosure- this review pertains to the front office staff and not the doctor himself…read more However- if this is what the doctor will allow, he absolutely deserves 1 star as well. The doc himself was nice enough. Pretty neutral there. I needed to get a referral to a specialist and that was just too daunting of a task for the front office. Apparently a drop down menu is just too difficult to navigate so I was sent to the wrong specialist. Let me tell you how awesome it is to PAY $40 to have a doctor sit there and say, "Yea, that does look uncomfortable. You really should get that assessed. I don't know why you're here." I DON'T KNOW WHY EITHER. So I reach out to this front office staff and it's discovered that yes indeed, they sent me to the wrong place. And it cost ME. Not them. But they're "sorry". So I'm back at square one. Again. Oh- and did I mention it took MONTHS of waiting to get into the WRONG specialist? Thanks again to Dr K's Team. So now I've got a referral for the CORRECT specialist. Team Derp at Dr K offered to reimburse me for the copay they led me to pay that I never should've. I didn't reply. I just wanted to be done with them. This image is them offering with apology and acknowledgement but I doubt there's an ounce of sincerity here. Regardless- I've brushed them off, onward and upward and all that. I go to the correct specialist and learn that before I can get any treatment I need to wear something for three months first. THREE MONTHS!!!! More waiting for help!!! If Team Derp just sent me to the right people the first time, this would be done by now! But instead I waited 4 months to see the wrong person, 1 month to see the right guy, and now 3 months of compression stockings before I get help when this could've been completed MONTHS ago!!! But I still don't want anything to do with them lol But then my husband is like, "I want bloodwork. Hook me up with someone." I figure- "I reeeaaaallllly don't want us stepping foot in that place but how can they screw that up and I'm a busy homeschooling mama that doesn't have time to Google reviews for a new PCP." So I call them up and make an appointment for my hubby. In Spring of 2022. And I'm told my husband needs to wear a mask to get seen. More blatant incompetency. The CDC isn't even recommending them anymore. So I sat there and thought, "This is NOT a practitioner of health and this backwards, feeble minded thinking is NOT aligned with my family's plant based TRUE health." So I cancelled the appointment, wrote them that "Yes- I do want the reimbursement YOU offered." and of course they haven't done anything. No reply. No reimbursement. Just a bunch of ignorance and bias. I do NOT recommend lol.

I called Dr Pearson and the rest is history! I would not go to anyone else ever! She is the most caring, thorough, friendly person. Not only does she listen to ME, but she goes a step further to make sure she understands what I am trying to tell her. Dr Pearson never rushes, but takes her time to be completely sure that "I" understand what she is saying to me. Definitely a collaborative atmosphere! Also note that the corporation let go all of his prior staff and the overall service has become more difficult. I talked to the old staff at the Tree Lane address a few days before it closed and they all told me that the corporation flew a few geniuses in and over a not very thoughtful pizza lunch told all of his old staff that the office was moving, and they were not going to be moving with him or the practice. Yep, cost gutting capitalists took over and they don't give a you know what about the patients. Happily, Dr. Sharpe still does, and so I still use him as my PCP. I had been sick for a couple of weeks with the Flu then a head cold and bronchitis. I thought I could beat it on my own, but a sinus infection finally got the best of me. Their excellent staff was as efficient as ever and I was shown into an exam room right at my appointment time. Dr. Sharpe did a through exam, and best of all, he listened to my story of fighting the cold/flu and ALL my symptoms. One thing that really bugs me are doctors who are too busy to listen to their patients. It may be simple to them, but it's not so simple to the suffering. As I said, Dr. Sharpe did a great job, and now two days later, I am well on the road to recovery. I give Dr. Sharpe two thumbs up. If you are looking for family healthcare that is efficient, knowledgeable, and best of all, caring, then I highly recommend Eastside Family Medicine. They are simply the best.

How disappointing!…read more I was the second person in line. The first person left and I went back. Then I sat around in the back for over 40 minutes while new patients arrived and left. They decided it was my turn when I told them I had to leave! Next issue, I was given an antibiotic. I could not get a refill on the antibiotic because the doctors rotate and my doctor was not there this week. Seriously, what kind of bs is that? It is interesting that I could go in again with a new appointment and a new cost to see a new doctor and get the antibiotic prescription I needed! Should have gone to my primary doctor, to begin with, this is definitely my last visit to the Buford Urgent Care! Something stinks!
