I hate writing bad reviews, so it takes several things, or multiple visits before I will write a…read morereview that highlights anything negative. To be fair, I know of at least one other person who really likes this doctor/office, I am inconsistent in my medical care as a twenty-something and jump around to different offices every couple of years because of job/insurance changes, I was five minutes late for one of my three appointments here, and everybody was really nice and spent a good amount of time with me during my visits. They get one star for the following reasons: 1) On my first visit I told the doctor that I had gained about sixty pounds on birth control, and she told me that it was probably because I had gotten married. Even when I refuted that in a very positive way for a couple of reason, she then talked to me about being on the obesity line and how that was a problem. (I kind of get that because I could have been lying and struggle with my weight, but I have gotten off of the birth control since then and lost forty or so pounds, so listening and shifting my meds would have been at least a nice suggestion.) 2) When I leave this office I get a check in the mail for $25, that I deposit, and then I get a bill for $20. 3) They sent off some of the work that I had done with outdated sample cups, or whatever it was put in- and asked me to come back to have tests done again- who wants to go back and have samples taken again? Not me... 4) I was told twice that they thought I was pregnant- first that they thought I was pregnant and then that they thought I was having an endoscopic pregnancy. That was because I was late and had a pain in my upper abdomen. I'm not pregnant, not trying, and the doctor they told me I should go to about my pregnancy said there was no way I was having an endoscopic pregnancy with my symptoms and the false blood and urine tests. It was just one thing after another with the pinnacle being the mistaken pregnancy issue... and an endoscopic pregnancy is a big deal!

Dr. Amanda Cain has been my doctor for 13yrs. She has many loyal, satisfied clients and she has had…read moreto turn some paitients away because her cannot take on any more clients. I trust her and her staff completely with my health issues. They treat me with kindess, understanding and respect. Some of my health issues required that I see a specialist. I have been very pleased with all of the doctors she has suggested I see. She is knowledgable and up to date on any issue I might present to her. Leslie B.'s (2/26/2012) comments are difficult to take seriously because she admits, "I am inconsistent in my medical care as a twenty-something and jump around to different offices every couple of years because of job/insurance changes." Her reasons for her bad review were scattered and unsure making it difficult to understand what she was trying to get across.

Five Star BUT! Doctor Mellissa West was 5 star professional, helpful and called me after the…read morevisit. Thank you for your kind service. BUT I see the reviews are all 1 STAR and I know why. The waiting receptionists and their system are totally unprofessional and seem to have a secret code for letting people in. I signed in the morning and only two people in front of me on the sign in list. There were only 5 or so people waiting so I thought, although I was hurting, I could wait. I was surprised when she said it was a 1 hour wait? During the first 1.5 hours I waited, they waved in 10 or 20 others who just showed up, no sign in. They would walk in, sit down and within one minute the attendant would open the door and wave them in with a big smile like they were old buddies. I asked the receptionist what the deal was and she gave me a dirty look like it was none of my business. My name had been marked thru as though they already saw me. The she said, "Oh your next." Then they waved in others who just walked in. This while the rest of us sat there over 2 hours with everyone hacking and coughing. I'm 75 and have to use urgent care a few times a year. This is totally unacceptable! If you are stupid enough to go there, you need to find out the Secret Code.

Questionable billing practices; went in for an annual wellness visit, which is supposed to be fully…read morecovered by insurance. Got billed for "an additional visit". Their excuse was that they "discussed something outside of the normal wellness visit". No warning, no up-front discussion about it not being covered, just a bill. Also was billed for labs ordered in the normal course of the visit. Never had this happen before with other providers.
