DMA staff regularly communicate using the ChildPilot app, at pickup/drop-off, and regular conferences. Our kids are well ahead of their public school peers in both reading, math, and critical thinking. We like that the school offers Chinese as a second language.

The individual instruction they receive in classes is plentiful, and the variety and quality of enhancement activities are outstanding. I read through the handful of negative reviews and find them puzzling. I have no affiliation with the school other than as a customer, and I was quite pleased with DMA overall. My kids made significant progress in reading, math, and multiple languages. Thanks to the extra-curricular classes, my kids both learned how to play chess and play the piano. I have no qualms about recommending this school.

I am extremely disappointed with this daycare and the way my children and I were treated…read more I had concerns about staff professionalism, including staff members who were not properly licensed/qualified, speaking to each other in another language in front of us, and staff members being rude, bossy, and disrespectful toward both parents and children. The overall environment did not make me feel that my children were being cared for with the professionalism and attention they deserved. What concerns me the most is an incident involving my child. I was told that my children had fallen, that everything was okay, and that there was nothing to worry about. Two weeks later, I found out that my child's front tooth had suffered nerve damage and was essentially dead. Today, my child had to undergo a dental procedure because of the injury. As a parent, I am extremely upset that I was reassured that everything was fine, yet I later discovered that my child had a serious dental injury requiring a procedure. I have also requested the video footage of the accident, and so far it has not been released to me. I believe I have every right to understand exactly what happened to my child while she was under the daycare's care.

We are so grateful that we found them. We did a lot of research and toured many other schools before choosing Richmond Hill, and we are glad that we did. It is truly one of a kind. We cannot recommend them enough.

My son had gone to Preston Park Montessori Academy and was bitten more than 8 times. Then I learned…read morefrom Richmond Hill that it's because these teachers are on their phones and not watching your child. The true Montessori way is not to have technology that will inhibit or loose focus. Richmond Hill does not allow their teachers to mess around with cell phones so they can give the attention to your children. My son has improved significantly since coming over here. He is a lot of work, but the teachers know how to work together so not one teacher should burden a heavy load. It does take a village to raise a child properly. The teachers are calm, well controlled, they find ways to help your child have emotional control. If they have issues, they will tell you. It is important to listen to them. Because they have insight of what to do to help your child progress. Your partnership with the teachers is vital. You must continue the Montessori style in your daily living at home. I can not say enough good things about this place. So this why I am stressing the fact you need to work with the teachers in order for your child to progress. Take the teachers advices to heart.

No parent would blindly put their child back to school unless they truly trusted the school and felt their child was placed in safe hands. Wearing two hats as a parent at one school, and being part of the school administration at another has allowed me to see the genuine care and commitment from both perspectives. I know there will be risks. Witnessing the huge levels of preparation however, honestly gives me confidence that as a community, we are doing our part by pulling together to put our children's well-being, health and development first. From: - stringent health and safety protocols - training for teachers (incl. safety and technical) - to investments made so our children can continue their education in safer conditions are just some of the things that I've been impressed with and am proud to be part of. I am grateful for ABC Day School in being a constant for us in trying times. Thank you! #ABCdayschool

Positives: I never felt like my daughter was in danger or unsafe in any way. The location (especially if you live in the Tribute). Negatives: Whatever is promised on your tour of the school, forget it. Things said are to get you to commit, but it will not be followed through on. What was communicated to us over the app (eating, nap time etc) is more than often wrong - difficult to know how the day actually went until you get there for pickup since the app is inaccurate. And continuing education at a school when you can't trust what they're telling you about your child is even more difficult. For most of the administration and teachers, this is just a job and will be treated as such. There will be no effort to go above and beyond to make your child feel comfortable or taken care of. We had to make numerous calls and requests to advocate for our daughter when she was having a rough time with the many teacher transitions. With that being said, a BIG shout out to the early preschool teachers, Ms. Tomeshia and Mrs. Ailiya. Both were absolutely incredible and saved our experience with this school. Hoping Primrose recognizes their gifts!
