Appointments are required, but easily obtained through their website. All you need to provide is name and address, health insurance information (if insured) and knowledge of the shots you want. Scheduling is handled directly on that site, with location convenient to you offered as alternatives. Once selected, the available dates/times are shown and you click the best for your needs. Mine was made for the following week. Upon arrival, I checked in with the pharmacy, showed my photo ID, vaccination history card and health insurance information, answered a few questions about Covid symptoms or exposure and took a seat. Within minutes, a pharmacist approached, introduced herself, and took me to a small private room where the injections were quickly given. I had two that day. Bandaids were applied to protect the tiny wound and I was out the door. No significant side effects that evening nor the next day, except for minor discomfort at the injection site. No fuss. No muss. My only suggestion would be that they make an effort to make that room more comfortable, because it appeared they were still using it for storage in addition to seeing patients.

I then followed up with a phone call to see if they needed anything else - they said nothing. When I went into 5 hours later to pick up my drugs they were not there - they said I had to call to confirm my transfers ... which I had done. Anyway I let that slide and then dropped off my old prescriptions in person to transfer them. They said it would take an hour to fill - I came back in 2 hours - only to find that the prescription wasn't filled because they needed to know if I wanted generic or name brand. My question - why the heck didn't they call to ask that? Anyway, I'm not pleased with my switch so far ... and not sure that there are any pharmacies around here that know how to treat their customers or use technology.

When I called Rite Aid and I spoke with Bara about getting prescription filled and delivered on same day, Friday, I learned that we missed the delivery cut off. Since I reside in California I was not able to pick up prescription. Bara ensured that my mom prescription was delivered to Chandler Hall that Friday so she would not need to wait until Monday. The neighborhood is gorgeous and there are hundreds of great nearby stores even though many others have closed due to COVID. Traffic is usually decent except during rush hour. But two stars removed due to the poor customer service expected at any Walmart and experienced here.
