Located at the top of Sunset Boulevard, this park has a very well maintained baseball field, lacrosse/soccer field with artificial turf and electronic scoreboard, tennis and basketball courts and multiple play structures. The water feature is set up like a stream, rather than a spray ground, and really the entire park was very well designed to provide a little bit of everything for the community. As a venue for watching a game, I loved the gentle slope that provided plenty of seating for parents to either set up chairs or blankets on different levels. Even though it all looks very modern, the park has a nice amount of mature trees to provide shade and a large covered structure for parties and gatherings that is essential for events 10 months out of the year. They even had a concession stand running during our visit so you could buy food and have a picnic. I kind of hope we have more games out in Sherwood.

In return, we give back: annual trash pickups, painting over graffiti, planting native trees and shrubs, installing plaques, etc. It's a great partnership. We utilize the trails to ID plants, analyze water quality in Cedar Creek, catch insects, use the field for large activities... It's really helpful. Plus, there's a decent bathroom and a great play structure if we finish a lesson early.

Family-friendly | Beautifully maintained…read more I have nothing but excellent things to say about this park. When we moved five years ago to Wilsonville, one of the highlights of this town are its open spaces and how family-friendly it is. This is just one of many parks in town. It's expansive too! It is located right across the street from the library and they offer so much-- water play (Murase Plaza), structured play, event spaces, nature play, tennis courts, soccer and baseball field, skate park, nature trails, disc golf, and fishing/boat dock. It is also stunning during the fall season with the trees in orange, red, and yellow. Parks and Rec are always maintaining this place. The latest addition to the park is the natural playground, and that is where we took our toddler recently. She LOVED it. She made some friends pretending to fish in the canoe and hang out in the teepees. The sand pit is a big hit too. Whether you're a family visiting or a local, I highly recommend checking this place out.

**COVID REVIEW**…read more Super cute new neighborhood park in River Terrace. It has both a "big" and "little" kid play area. In the little kid area there is what my kids deemed an "obstacle" course. It was a lot of fun for them to get out and into the sunshine. When we arrived the other two families that were there were masked and observing social distancing. There is a basketball court a bit further towards the intersection for kids and in between the big and little kid areas there is a covered shelter which would be nice in the warmer days to come. The equipment is all brand new and a lot of fun. My kids are both nearly 6&8 and loved the slides and climbing. As far as COVID protocols it's not monitored so it's up to individual families. We left, as did the two other families that arrived at the same time as we did, when two very large groups who were both unmasked, arrived. Nothing you can do except leave! I would definitely try it again but maybe not "after" school hours. The parking is only street parking if you drive there and it's not plentiful.

Even on Alltrails, the trail does not show up on GIS- so I don't know if the trail is fairly new, or if this park is just super obscure. Anyway, it was a pleasant surprise since I was looking for a relatively short hike with some elevation gain. I recorded about 130 feet of gain in under a mile- not a ton, but a minor workout and a potential good spot to go back up and down for training. There is a playground, basketball court and the aforementioned trail. What I will say is that the views from the top of the hill are amazing- the trail is really well maintained and you can see out onto the valley for miles. Unfortunately, there aren't any facilities such as restrooms, but there is a nice water fountain. If you live in the area, this is a good place to take kids to play on the playground or shoot some hoops. The trail is fine too, though I likely won't come back for it since it's short and not terribly impressive.

I'm so glad I did! What struck me first and most about this park was how clean and well maintained it is. They have a delightful sand box with water feature that, I'm sure, will keep the kids busy all day. They also have a very unique and creative rope contraption to climb on (I don't know what the cool kids call it). And there's a skate park, basketball court, baseball diamond, and tennis court to keep everyone happy. We were there on Friday night and the tennis court was filled with folks playing Pickle Ball. So cool to see so many people outside and active on a beautiful summer evening. Finally, there's a wide, well maintained walking path along the river that is delightful.
