Stopped here for dinner with some friends. Our waitress did a great job taking our order, making sure we had plates/napkins/silverware, making sure we had refills, and delivering our pizzas. I got the small cheese pizza. It was so good. Pizza was cut into rectangles, which made it easier for eating. Had to take some home since I couldn'teat it all. Despite dining there right before the town's Fourth of July parade, and the fact that the restaurant sits on one of the two main streets, we were able to get a seat. The waitress was friendly and quite good. We sat inside where it is mainly a sports bar. But they do have an outdoor enclosed patio, as well. But we always come for the food. And almost always, the pizza. They of course have other options. This place is a local tradition truly worth the visit. read more

We ordered a small 10" pizza ($11.75) with mushrooms (+$1.55 per topping), so $13.30 total. Overall, it had good flavor and a healthy amount of cheese. I thought the mushrooms were good, but my husband thought they might be canned. In total, there were 8 decent-sized pieces of pizza. We also got the The Triple Play Appetizer Platter ($11.50) because I love an appetizer platter with all vegetarian options! This hefty platter features Mozzarella Sticks, Zucchini, and Cauliflower. The best part is it comes with a side of BOTH ranch AND marinara. I believe you could also select from other sauce options as well. The Mozzarella Sticks had good flavor and paired well with the marinara sauce. The Zucchini went perfectly with the ranch. Some of the Cauliflower pieces were a bit larger than ideal, but that would be my only comment. I really loved that it came with two sauces! Ordered roast beef and a Philly cheese. I asked for juice on the side and when I got it home the juice container opened and it spilled all over fries and sandwich. Philly cheese bun was burnt and hardly no meat and meat was dry. Never again. They should just stick with pizza!!!! read more

Visited Langels again last night. first time since my last review and the experience was very good this time. We had a large party of about 20 people and were given three large tables in the back room. It was a little warm in there but with the doors open we could get cool air from the dining room. Our server was great and handled all of our requests and pizza orders. People came in and out during the evening and she was right there to take their drink and food order promptly. The food was hot and delicious and large portions. Lots of drinks and our waitress kept on top of our drink orders. There were a couple mix ups which is not unusual for a large party and she fixed it right away. my faith in Langels is restored and my next visit to Highland it will be a for sure stop. read more

As much as I like this place, I couldn't be more disappointed in the fact that I brought my 90 year old mom and #1, no handicap parking. This is terrible. #2 because of a party in the dining room. I love Langel's. I've had a few bad experiences in the past but it was usually related to employees who no longer work there. Their food is amazing and they have a great bar with really great bar tenders. The vibe is always fun and positive and Ive met some incrediblepeople there. I hope Langel's is around for years to come. read more

I drove from Tennessee to visit my daughter and some friends, I have to get Pizza from Langels every time I come up! There's no spot in Tennessee that has good pizza, service was good, waitress was nice pizza was sooooo good! I switch from chunk sausage to crumbled but always get mushrooms. Pizza is so far the only thing that is consistently good at Langel's. Tonight we ordered a medium cheese (excellent with no leftovers) and a southern chicken sandwich w/fries. So...this was the worst sandwich I've ever ordered somewhere. I hate to say it but most fast food chicken sandwiches were much better. I expected better quality from Langel's. Was this an off night? I included photos of my sandwich. The delivery driver took a while to get here. The fries were soggy and I had to use my air fryer to crisp them up. So I started working in Highland IN and I asked couple of residents who has the best pie in the neighborhood and they all say Langel's so I decided to visit them but I seen they had a special on Tuesday medium pie with one ingredient $14 bucks. Picked up two and took them home let me tell you super yummy the pepperoni was so delicious the sausage one with the crumble sausage was good. I giving them 4 stars because I try to add mushrooms and onions to the sausage one and the guy that was taking my order said to me he had to charge me full price for that pie. Other spots they just charge you for the ingredients as an extra but not here so that is why I'm taking a star from the review. It worth the drive a good pie. read more

This review is long overdue...my family and some friends stopped in for lunch one day on a Friday afternoon. We were immediately seated and the staff was friendly and accommodating to our large group (with children). We ordered a few pizzas. They have gluten free crust pizza. A friend of mine wanted to come here as she saw the pickle pizza on a tv show. She LOVED it,..others didn't. I guess pickled pizza is an acquired taste. Overall we had a great experience. It looked like they had a lunch buffet as well...not sure it Covid changed that though. read more

4 stars for Langel's crumble sausage pizza!! Get it well done. The crust is nice and crispy and the sauce is good. It's a solid and satisfying pizza. We got the largest size and it was the perfect amount for 5. We didn't eat anything else- based on the other reviews, I didn't want to chance it. The restaurant itself is pretty big, a bar, an outdoor area (it was enclosed when we went), and two dining rooms. There was a little party going on in one of them while we were there. Kids aren't allowed in the bar. The service was sufficient, but they didn't go out of their way to be friendly or helpful. Always heard great things about this place and finally got the chance to check it out. Sat outside on the patio since the inside was pretty crowded. Got a couple of beers and started out with an order of fries. Everything was good then the pizza arrived. It was not my favorite in the area but it was pretty darn good. Service was attentive. I have this restaurant a shot since I live about five minutes away only. My girlfriend and I walked inside and we were told we could sit wherever we liked. The restaurant seemed to be clean and it wasn't too loud. I ordered a Diet Soda for my drink and we also shared a Tall Jack and Soda Drink. They were both very smooth. We ordered a Small Cheese Pizza with Crumble Sausage, Pepperoni, and Onion. We also ordered the Langel's Famous Italian Beef with Cheese. We got House Fries with the Sandwich. The Italian Beef Sandwich was very flavorful! It was on the wetter side of the scale with a full Sandwich type of dip and the House Fries were just as good. I liked the crispy batter feel they gave. The Pizza was served cut into long, rectangular slices. It could have used a better cut, since the cheese was very stretchy. As for the flavors, they were top of the line. The Onions brought the whole Pizza together for me. The crust was good quality and wasn't too greasy. The service was really good. Our waitress was nice and she brought us everything we needed in a timely manner. Overall, their Pizza is close to Top-Tier Level. The Sandwich was freaking amazing! Just went there tonight & the service was awful. I go all the time and it's a hit or miss but tonight was outrageous. Our server was rude and had no idea what she was doing. She made rude comments and took absolutely forever for everything. The pizza was also extremely uncooked and took over an hour to get to us. And our appetizer that cost $9 only came with 5 small pieces of zucchini? Ridiculous. Their food is usually very good along with the service. We went in and place our order at 2:44 and at 3;40 NO ONE CALL US TO TELL US THAT OUR ORDER WAS DONE A LADY WITH SLIVER GREY waited on us she look mad why take our phone number if you guys can't call us to tell us that our order is ready why did we have to wait almost an hour and then when we got our order the wings were nasty not crispy they tasted like KFC chicken the pizza wasn't hot it was warm spend almost 70 dollars what a rip off never again will we place an order and have them say wait in the car and we'll call you cause that's a lie food wasn't hot at all embarrassed to bring anybody there read more

I've been coming to this place since the 2000's. Went a few months back for trivia night on Tuesday's. Used to go all the time with my wife. We always tipped extra since we know we were taking a table for a while. Completely ignored by our waitress. Took 30 min for my second drink so I cancelled it. Asked for the bill. Said they couldn't take the drink off the bill without the manager. GO GET THE MANAGER! I got cash and left money which would either pay for it all, or take off the drink and there's the tip. I've had terrible service here before, but this was the last straw. Pizza is good, fried pickles are a waste of money, the wings are good. read more

Specifically went to eat and watch the Purdue football game on Saturday evening. We arrived early and got a great table with the game on right in front us. Placed our order apps and pizza to go with our beers. About half way through the first half a girl decides she's going to change the channel. I brought it to her attention that we were watching that game and had been since the game began. She was very rude and bitchy so I told her to cancel our order. The manager came over and still didn't do anything to fix the problem so we paid for our app and drinks and went elsewhere. Never again will we go into this dump. The pizza and atmosphere are very good. However, some of the bartenders are very customer-unfriendly, especially the redhead who works there on Fridays. She somehow thinks that the customers are lucky to be in her presence. Bad culture. The worst ambassador any bar owner would want. This problem with bad bartenders was at Langel's on a larger scale a few years ago. Now it's re-emerging. This particular individual is always in a bad mood, has no personality and seems to take joy in ignoring customers. Rodney is a great guy and I often wonder if he's aware of employees like this one. I've lived in NWI for 18 years and never came in to eat. I must admit the service was amazing! My server was a bit of a knucklehead...made several mistakes, but it was always fixed. The bartender fixed my drink as the young server didn't understand what a dry martini meant. Mistakes happen...it's what you do after. Great friendly place. The food appears to be well liked. I had a small pizza and it was good...but I'm not a fan of pizza, so not going to include a review. Highly recommend this store read more
