When the inside of your house has a heat index of 105*. Yup. My AC was sick. It needed a doctor STAT! I called on Thursday after two days of suffering and decided I couldn't take it anymore. I called up Sentry...because their sticker was on the AC.. and I was given two options. I could have someone come in the evening on overtime or I could wait until the next day and someone would be here before 12. I chose the next day, but then called back and changed it to the same day, because I was D-Y-I-N-G. Sooner rather than later, I get a call from someone saying they are on their way to my house to save the day. Then Perry shows up. Perry is a lifesaver. The poor guy was drenched in sweat by the time he was finished. Turns out the AC had a wretched air filter (my fault) and had frozen over. He turned the AC off and ran the fan and said that after 3 hours to turn it back on and see what happens. I cut him a check for $159 and he was on his way home...probably to take a shower. A couple of hours later he even called to tell me it was probably ok to turn it back on. The temp inside my house gradually went down and was back to normal......until the next day. I noticed it started creeping back up. BUT I was leaving for Florida so I decided it would have to wait. Monday morning bright and early I called Perry on his work number and told him the bad news. He told me to turn it off and run the fan, and that he would be over in due time. A few hours later he was at my door. He found nothing wrong with the AC itself, just that the power was not running up to par. He said that Alabama Power had been doing some work and was causing some power surges which might have interfered with the power supply, so he reset the AC internally and boom it started working. Here it is the next day and I am not dead. Perry, you are an AC god. Screw you Alabama Power. I hate you.

After several calls and no one available for weeks, I Came upon Under 1 Roof, called and the owner Hayden was in the area, stopped by took a look and had one of his men come and patch the area (we had rain in the forecast). Called the insurance company they recommended replacing the whole roof. I called Hayden, he gave me an estimate that matched the insurance company's. Good & timely communications during the entire replacement, great crew, efficient, excellent work and it looks good. Would recommend them if you have a leak or need a new Roof.

The only reason I knew they were there is that I heard them on the roof. I acknowledged the techs but they left without further communication. Following up they indicated they would fabricate a new pan and once complete would return to finish onsite. Now is your chance to respond Batt's. Last communication from Batt's dated May 5th, 2026: Mr. Hammond, I wanted to provide you with a quick update regarding your upcoming chimney work. The project is still moving forward as planned; however, we do need to make a slight adjustment to ensure everything is installed properly and performs as intended. We found that the existing pan is undersized and does not fully seat down onto the chase. To correct this, we have taken new measurements and are currently having a properly sized pan fabricated. Once the new pan is ready, we will also paint the existing shroud surround on-site the day of installation so that it matches the new pan for a clean, uniform appearance. They replaced this $10 part that takes 15 minutes max to replace while out there and charged my wife an absurd amount. They refused to lower the cost, but did take off a little for it not being a separate service call. We have had capacitors replaced by other companies for $99 to $125. These guys charge almost double that with the "discount".

He took a cellphone photo that showed ice on it and said that it would have to thaw before he could do anything. He said he would return the next day around 3:00 p.m. and asked for the $65. warranty copay. I gave him a check. The next day, while awaiting the return of the serviceman, I checked my email. There was a message from the warranty company stating, "the vendor indicated you do not need this appointment". When I called Bo Jiffy, I was given an evasive response as to why the appointment was cancelled.The serviceman asked if I had turned the ac back on. He said the air usually comes back on after the system thaws and the filter is changed. It didn't make sense to me but I hung up and did as instructed. Well, the air didn't start to flow and the thermostat remained at 91 degrees. When I called Bo Jiffy back, my call went to voicemail. The following day I call another company and they got my ac working in short order.
