The groomer had 2 1/2 years of…read moreexperience, which concerned me, so I asked him if he thought he was good with some hesitation he replied yes. When I picked her up, they told me the groomer couldn't finish the job because she kept biting the groomer. I replied that she has never bitten or nipped a groomer & I was certain the reason for the behavior had to be because of the groomer. The manager and I argued back-and-forth. He held his ground and insisted it was my dog, and I insisted it was his groomer. After getting home, I noticed that my Yorkie kept licking herself. I looked more closely and saw the reason why she was nipping the groomer. He had injured her with a large clipper burn near her belly. I took a photo & went back to the Dog Stop to show the photo to the manager, Caleb, who offered such a lame apology that I felt it necessary to tell him that it was no apology at all - a further disappointment, and I told him so. I asked for a refund, which he did give me and then I went directly to the Vet for ointment.

Several times when I have personally been walking my dog in the neighborhood, she has spotted one of her dog walkers from Steel City and she just melts and loves seeing them! This tells me how well she is taken care of by them. They send you the best updates with every walk including the cutest pics and videos too. I completely trust them and will continue to use them for my dog walking needs.

Not a review of the service, per se, but the interview process…read more The person who spoke with me waited until we'd been talking for over half an hour about my situation and my pet before revealing that I'd have no choice in who would be caring for my elderly, medically challenged pet while I would be gone for several days. I appreciate that as a business they have a crew who supports each other and shares the load. But that information should have been offered up front with an explanation of how the business operates before wasting so much of my time as I explained the level of care which would be needed. I especially didn't appreciate them sending me to a generic pet sitter website to find an alternative pet sitter when I made it clear I only use sitters that are recommended by friends or people I know.

Occasionally I've worked from home in my downstairs office, and I hear them come in. Not only are they extremely kind and seem genuinely happy to be seeing your pet, but they give my dog some good exercise. I'll come upstairs after work to see my pup asleep and happy. I'll be using them for many more years as long as they keep providing good service! I recommend the walking service to working folks with pets who are home alone all day because it breaks the day up nicely for them.

I replied with answers and they said they'd be in touch. That was 2 weeks ago and no response. I get it if you're too busy, but just tell me that. Don't just not reply. Frustrating.
