The next morning I called, talked with a wonderful lady and arranged for our vet to fax all of our pup's records. I was sooo thankful that they had room for him to stay the weekend! He loved it, I enjoyed seeing his pics on FB AND when we picked him up he had a 'report card' and received an A+ and was welcome back anytime. We LOVED that he was exhausted for our 1.75 hr ride home too I only wish they would branch out because we live too far away to bring him by regularly. The groomer had 2 1/2 years of…read moreexperience, which concerned me, so I asked him if he thought he was good with some hesitation he replied yes. When I picked her up, they told me the groomer couldn't finish the job because she kept biting the groomer. I replied that she has never bitten or nipped a groomer & I was certain the reason for the behavior had to be because of the groomer. The manager and I argued back-and-forth. He held his ground and insisted it was my dog, and I insisted it was his groomer. After getting home, I noticed that my Yorkie kept licking herself. I looked more closely and saw the reason why she was nipping the groomer. He had injured her with a large clipper burn near her belly. I took a photo & went back to the Dog Stop to show the photo to the manager, Caleb, who offered such a lame apology that I felt it necessary to tell him that it was no apology at all - a further disappointment, and I told him so. I asked for a refund, which he did give me and then I went directly to the Vet for ointment.

From the start, they were incredibly patient, kind, and gentle with him. They didn't rush the process at all and really took the time to let Odie warm up and feel comfortable. That alone meant so much to us. Because of their calm and caring approach, Odie was able to get a full haircut, his first professional groom in a few years, and it exceeded expectations! You can tell they truly care about the dogs they work with, especially ones who need a little extra time and understanding.
