The reason why I wouldn't recommend this company is the quality of their support is subpar. Many of the plantings died within the first year even though they get watered daily. The trees don't grow, whereas trees we bought from other landscaping companies in the area are already taller than our house. The patio has loose pavers and the low voltage lighting doesn't work everywhere. Some lights work, others don't. When I asked about the lights, they said it's a supplier issue from China, however they've installed other patios in our neighborhood with lights. I guess it's only a supplier issue for warranty issues and not new installs. The issue with the loose pavers however is the reason I'm writing this review. When I called to asked them to come out and take a look, they told me they can't take support calls like this over the phone instead I would need to email them. I don't understand how a company that I paid thousands of dollars to for a patio won't talk to me on the phone. I now have to wait days for a reply via email. Ridiculous Also, they are going to reply to this review asking me to call them and speak to management. That's a waste of time as when I call the person on the phone will say "send us an email". Terrible.

Some time went by, the invoice came in the mail and before cutting a check I walked the property. I noticed a few spots I wasn't completely happy with and let Marc know via email at 6:30am this morning. At 8am there was a crew in my yard touching up the spots that I mentioned in my email. He had the problem addressed before I even had the chance to check my email again. I should also mention that we've lived at this property for years and have gone through a few companies. Some were good but over priced, some were competitively priced but were lacking in quality and/or customer service. Prestige is not only good, they are priced right and extremely responsive. If I was to tell you of all the praises I have for George from Evening Shade Landscaping you would…read morebe tired of listening and would be pages of text. I have worked with George for more than 15 years. We had a front yard with a substantial slope and an associated erosion issue. I asked George to look at it and to give me some ideas to solve this issue. George suggested tiering the front yard using the natural rocks located on the property. He walked around the property looking for large rocks he thought could use to do the job. The number of rocks were not enough but George ,thought he could make it work. He started excavating using two pieces of earth moving equipment and as he did many more large rocks began to surface. Operating his earth moving equipment, his movement and rock placement was artful, perfectly balancing rocks next to other rocks enhancing the contour with the yard creating four tiered levels. George does best when you can define the scope and budget of the project and let George apply his creativeness. I assure you, you will be delighted with the result. I rate George a 7 on a 5 point scale. Have a challenge with your property and don't know what to do, George will give you creative, cost effective alternatives.
