I ordered lights for a house flip that they told me would be ready in a couple days, MAX two weeks. Well here I am 3 months later with NO lights. They waited until the day of delivery to tell me that it would be postponed for two more weeks. Then two weeks later and they keep feeding me the same lie that I'm sure they give everybody. On "backorder because of covid." That is simply a lie! If it wasn't, they would not be waiting until the day I'm suppose to pick up the lights to tell me, need I remind you that this happened multiple times. As someone who buys lights, baths, sinks, faucets, ect. on a regular basis- this is NOT a company you want to deal with.

The showroom has several demonstration areas with appliances set in real kitchens that are beautiful. Many of the appliances are functional. I was able to see what an induction cooktop is capable of doing before making a decision. Fergusons has lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and every bath and kitchen fixture imaginable. Hopefully, I'll never have to remodel our kitchen again, but if I do I'll consider sourcing my fixtures here.

Summary: the owner was inexcusably rude…read more I couldn't find an unusual bulb at the big box stores; they suggested Kansas Lighting. I had dealt with them once before in person and they'd been helpful, so I was utterly unprepared for the treatment I was about to receive. I called and a woman answered who tried to help, but she seemed to be misunderstanding what I wanted (I wanted a CFL or LED; she thought I wanted a standard, discontinued incandescent). Once we cleared that up, she put me on hold and a man picked up. I told him clearly what I wanted and he seemed to understand. But he was VERY quick to make the blanket statement that the wattage-equivalency/base size combination I was looking for did not exist at all, despite the fact that I had actually found one (of the wrong shape). He then started explaining to me that ceiling fans have some sort of 60W "limiter" - although I never understood why that was relevant to the current conversation. I told him MY fan had "75W" stamped on the bulb socket; he said, "No, it's 60W." When I said mine was 75W, he said he couldn't help me and hung up. I called back to complain to the manager. Turned out he IS the manager (and owner). Crying by this point, I told him he'd been rude. He unapologetically told me he hadn't. I said that I felt he'd implied I was lying. Again, he denied it and told me "Ma'am, please just take your business elsewhere." I was upset enough by this point to make the empty threat that I'd take my friends too. He snapped, "If they're anything like you, fine!" and hung up again. At this point, I determined to write the owner a letter about the execrable behavior of his employee, but I figured that, given their behavior, they'd never give it to ME. So I asked my father-in-law to get the owner's info. He called them and "Bob" answered. Bob turns out to be both the owner AND the manager I spoke with this morning. When he heard it was about a complaint, he fobbed my father-in-law off on the female employee. She started spelling out the owner's last name (which, by the way, is listed plainly on the BBB's website), and Dad could hear the owner interrupt her in the background, after which she said she couldn't give out any more information. In summary, if Bob really is making it a policy that he doesn't want any customers "like me," which I would describe as courteous, even-tempered, curious, astute, but not fully expert on the subject, it suggests he only wants either customers with encyclopedic knowledge of lighting OR those who are stupid and rude. If it's the latter, it's no wonder he's short-tempered.

This is an update to my original review. While waiting for…read morethe replacement stove to arrive (during that 2 week wait mentioned in the original review), we were contacted several times by the department supervisor, Antonia, who wanted to stay on top of how things were progressing. Following the arrival of the replacement stove from Lowes, it was delivered and installed professionally, and quickly. The following day, Antonia called us again to verify all was good with the delivery - she then told us she was submitting a ticket to the corporate office for some compensation for our trouble. We got a call the same day and the gentlemen from the corporate office informed us they would be sending us an email with a link for some monetary compensation, which we received that same day. While it wasn't a huge amount, it was a little biggeer than we expected and it was a nice gesture. I updated my rating to a 3-3.5 specifically for the help and attention we got ofter our misfortune began - the shipping agents at the Northwest Store, the Superior Supervisor at the East store (Antonia), and the corporate office gentleman who's name I cannot find in my notes. Lowes did work hard to "make it right", so they got the upgrade. I would still caution anyone using them to remain VERY detail orientated, and ask even the simplest of clarifications to make sure you understand what you're getting. Follow ups are a MUST as the sooner you catch an error or mistake in their process, the easier it might be able to adjust/fix.
