First visit, Dave swears up and down he knows the location of the leak simply off my car's make and model. Says it'll take less than an hour. The car was returned to me with 6 inches of water still remaining in the spare time compartment. I thought, well that's disappointing, but at least it's fixed. Days later, it rains and I realized it wasn't fixed after all. I bring it back a second time, he reseals the exact same spot. I take it through a carwash when I leave to test it, water still coming in... and that same 6 inches of water remained in the vehicle. When I return and meet him at the back of the shop, I watch him try to diagnose the issue and mention how there's still water in my spare tire compartment, even after I had specifically asked that he drain it when I came back the second time. He goes to drain it and it's obvious from that moment that he had never even opened the compartment during the previous visits, even though it was the whole reason I was there. He says this is a MAJOR leak (I know, that's why I brought it in....) and it will be a multi-day job. I personally don't trust Dave enough to fix a major leak that he couldn't even identify (twice) primarily because he didn't listen to his customer initially and was overly confident in himself. Got my money back, but not my time. Would not recommend. Told the mechanic who referred me to stop recommending him as well. **Dave will apparently call you a "scam artist" if you give an accurate negative review so be on the lookout for that.**

I'm mystified by the good reviews, I can't even get anyone to tell me what's wrong with the car and look at it after leaving it for weeks at times, are they interested in doing inspections and oil changes only and only look at cars when there's nothing for the day, and their policy is to tell customers they don't know when they leave and be able to look at it, that it might be next week. On average, the last three times I've brought a vehicle here, I've had to call three times a remind them for them to even look at it, and they have moved towards never being able to give any kind of expected time I'm assuming they're still taking new vehicle's during that time and just forgetting about my vehicle or prioritizing people, they know or something? It's anyone's guess when there's no communication. So two thoughts 1. Someone in charge is overwhelmed Adhd person and is not processing cars in the order they come in while customers are being forgotten and not communicated with. 2. Whoever is in charge doesn't have the business assertion skills to refuse business. It would be better to have a future customer than create bad customer service that would make someone wanna take the time to write the review I am writing. The people have not been inpolite at the front desk, but like I said, it's promise, nothing and deliver nothing here, Secondly, I am returning the car for the second time with the same problem, after waiting a week and a half for them to look at it the last time, they informed me that it would be another unknown amount of time before they can order the parts to do the complete repair job, so I let them replace the ignition coil and got my car back I love my town, and I would love to give a better review for a local business, but for now I'm looking for another mechanic, and I would recommend you do the same. Maybe going to Asheville is worth it. When I was on the other side of town, I got some pretty good service at several places. It would be better for you to tell people that you can't take any business and that they would do better somewhere else then to instruct your staff to tell people you don't know when you'll be able to get to it and make them beg you to plug the machine in and let them let them know what the code says Update: 1/19/23: found a new mechanic, turns out one of the two coils they replaced just two months ago, failed because they were of dubious quality. They sure were! Waiting area was clean. They took the car pretty fast and there were no games played with the price or anything.
