I'm mystified by the good reviews, I can't even get anyone to tell me what's wrong with the car and look at it after leaving it for weeks at times, are they interested in doing inspections and oil changes only and only look at cars when there's nothing for the day, and their policy is to tell customers they don't know when they leave and be able to look at it, that it might be next week. On average, the last three times I've brought a vehicle here, I've had to call three times a remind them for them to even look at it, and they have moved towards never being able to give any kind of expected time I'm assuming they're still taking new vehicle's during that time and just forgetting about my vehicle or prioritizing people, they know or something? It's anyone's guess when there's no communication. So two thoughts 1. Someone in charge is overwhelmed Adhd person and is not processing cars in the order they come in while customers are being forgotten and not communicated with. 2. Whoever is in charge doesn't have the business assertion skills to refuse business. It would be better to have a future customer than create bad customer service that would make someone wanna take the time to write the review I am writing. The people have not been inpolite at the front desk, but like I said, it's promise, nothing and deliver nothing here, Secondly, I am returning the car for the second time with the same problem, after waiting a week and a half for them to look at it the last time, they informed me that it would be another unknown amount of time before they can order the parts to do the complete repair job, so I let them replace the ignition coil and got my car back I love my town, and I would love to give a better review for a local business, but for now I'm looking for another mechanic, and I would recommend you do the same. Maybe going to Asheville is worth it. When I was on the other side of town, I got some pretty good service at several places. Again, I'm willing to reconsider my experience if somebody wants to reach out, but this has been the worst customer experience at an auto place ever. Several years ago, I took my Chrysler Town and Country to Fletcher Automotive for its annual NC…read moreinspection and was told it failed inspection due to a leaking rack and pinion, plus a claim that I had a warped and leaking oil pan. When I asked why the oil and power steering fluids were not low and there were no signs of leakage on my garage floor, I was told it doesn't always show up like that and was advised the repairs required to pass inspection would cost more than a thousand dollars for a new rack and pinion and over $300 for a new oil pan. I asked to talk to the technician and see the leaks, and after claiming it would violate their insurance laws to do so they reluctantly lifted the van, where I saw nothing dripping with only a light oil film on the oil pan and nothing that clearly indicated the rack was leaking. I declined the repairs and took it to F&R Automotive, for a second opinion where its owner Fred Vacok (who recently passed away) reported that he found no rack and pinion leak and merely snugged the bolts on the oil pan to fix its minor leak at no charge. I then took the van to another inspection station, where it passed inspection and confirmed both the rack and oil pan were not leaking and later ran that van for an additional 20,000+ more miles before giving it to my granddaughter. It served her well in her last year of High School and into her college years. I've never gone back to Fletcher Automotive and would caution others to be wary.
