I don't know where to begin, There's not enough words to express my happiness for Pro Trace Painting, Henry and his entire family for such high quality and professional service performed in my home. I was a victim of fraud by a fly by night contractor we previously hired to paint my interior and remove popcorn ceiling, we lost thousands of dollars and I gave up hope for a few months until I found the courage to try and find someone honest to finish my project. Out of everyone every new contractor that I got a quote from, Henry and his family stood out to me for the following reasons. 1) I can tell he genuinely cared about my family's loss with the previous scandal, he compelled and apologized on their behalf which was not his fault. 2) They we're not FORCEFUL, many of the guys that came over seemed pushy and oversell. I just want popcorn ceiling room, retextured, paint and that's it. Henry understood that and kept it simple as my request, though later after seeing their professional works I added on more things to be done as my trust in humanity begin to spark again thanks to Pro Trace. 3) Out of 12 bids that we got, Pro Trace was the only one typed up an actual contract breaking down step by step the costs of material and labor and time frame to complete job. What I loved and appreciate even more was that because Henry knew I was scammed before, HE OFFERED TO BEGIN SERVICE AT HIS OWN EXPENSE and then I'll just pay along the way per each completed phase of the project. 4) When I tell you this crew respects your time, I mean it! Pro Trace Painting was on time from from 8am to 5pm or so everyday, if ever they'd might be running late (which was probably one time) Henry would call immediately letting me know. The end of work every day they would clean up throughly their work area, gather tools into one place and leave your house nice and neat. Like I said, there is not enough words to describe the joy of satisfaction from such an honest and reliable crew. I hired them to move onto new project painting my exterior of home and that's done. Now they're asked to renovate my two bathrooms. Their prices are affordable and fair, if I could give 100 star rating I would. Beyond blessed and grateful for such family oriented crew whom I call good friends for life.

***Terrible terrible company. Do not use. THEY ARE CURRENTLY BEING SUED FOR FRAUD.***…read more Our experience was with their project manager Rich Speakman. If you are assigned Rich as your project manager immediately request someone else. Rich has no knowledge of construction and takes all of his subcontractors at their word without verifying the work was done for himself. We hired Korrect to finish out a bathroom remodel that went wrong. We simply needed them to finish sealing some areas, properly align some cabinets, install carpet, etc. Rich talked us into demolishing the entire bathroom by going on and on about this amazing designer he knows who would remodel our entire bathroom with a design we would love. This was going to be a $300,000+ bathroom remodel and we put down a $130,000 deposit with Korrect to get the work started. They got started on the demo of the existing bathroom right away. It was after this that we learned that the amazing designer, who is Rich's daughter, is actually a junior designer at a design firm here in Dallas. She's never done any design work herself and yet Rich, whose sole job is to select and use reputable subcontractors, decided this was appropriate for our remodel. Additionally, we came to learn that she was under a binding non-compete with her existing employer and was expressly prohibited from engaging in outside work. We have learned that Rich's daughter has since been fired from her junior designer position for violation of her non-compete. Rich's daughter never produced any actual designs for us, despite the fact that Korrect is demanding we pay for the designer fee. We learned through emails with one of Korrect's owners, Kullen, that they had actually already paid Rich's daughter in full and Kullen specficially wrote that, "he cannot lose money" on this and expects us to pay that cost despite the clear failing on the part of Korrect to vet their subcontractors. Demolishing the existing bathroom was supposed to take 4-6 days, however after three MONTHS this was still not finished (to say nothing of getting started on the ACTUAL work). We finally met with Kullen and told him that we would pay for the work that was done ($17,000) but that we would not pay for the design fee because no design work was actually provided to us and that we would like the rest of our deposit back. Kullen refused our offer in emails where he, again, stated that Korrect cannot lose money on this job and is now holding our deposit hostage claiming he is entitled to keep it despite not having done any actual work to earn it. Again, we were more than willing to pay for the work that Korrect did actually do (although not complete) to ensure their subcontractors were paid. We were simply requesting the rest of our deposit back for the work that was NEVER done. Kullen is as dishonest as they come in our opinion. Regardless of his words, his actions show us that he does not care about the ethics of business. We also had hired Korrect previously for other jobs around our property and their work was mediocre at best. One example, supposedly specialize in roof replacements and so they replaced our roof. The next major rainstorm showed us the quality of their work as our brand new roof was leaking in several places. That's just one example, however there are several more which will be brought to light in our lawsuit. Keep in mind that the only reason we're going to court with Korrect is because Kullen is trying to keep money that does not belong to him. He is a thief and, despite us spending two hours in our kitchen with him trying to work something out, has decided that we should bear the cost of his company's failings. So, if you do hire Korrect just know that they will talk a big game about doing the right thing, providing great quality work, and wanting to make sure their customers are satisfied... however, it's just that... all talk. The second there is a problem Kullen and Rich will do everything they can to keep your money regardless of whether or not they delivered on the work they promised.

This is the first part of two reviews. I'll do the follow-up roof after Stevan's crews come to my…read morehouse and correct their mistakes. On a five star review I would rate this company as a 2. I like the fact Stevan himself came to my family's home and did a good job estimating the project at no coast. We worked together and met as a price. He drew up the contract, I signed it and gave him half of the money up front. The project date was set and I felt optimistic hiring them to do the work. The morning the work was to begin, I waited for Steven's crews. At 9:00 AM an eighteen wheel pulls up to my house and unloads the material in my yard. This was on a Thursday. At 10:30AM, Stevan's crews had not arrived. I called the project Forman and he was very apologetic saying they had cancel the project for Thursday the day before due to the possibility of bad weather. He apologized due to not contacting me regarding them canceling. I was furious. I had canceled work for that day to be there for the roof replacement. I called Stevan and requested we cancel the contract. At this point I didn't feel optimistic about this contractor. I let Stevan talk me into moving forward on the contract and we set a date for the following Monday with the promise that he would personally supervise the project. I told him I was flying to New York and I wouldn't be there on Monday. He assured me he would take pictures and I would be happy with their work. Monday---the day of the project. The workers showed up and went to work. The Forman called me and I tried talking to him but there was a huge language barrier. Stevan sent pictures to my wife and she forwarded them to me. They did a good job but not a professional job. Their quality control is terrible. I hired them to replace the roof, some decking, a lot of the facia boards, drip edge, a section of soffit, and two new boots and turbine, as well as flashing where needed. They finished the job in one day. The roof is now new. They replaced the turbine-new. They did not install the two new boots. The flashing they installed looks terrible and there's areas that need flashing that got over looked. The facia boards will have to be replaced do to poor installation and poor quality control. There's areas of the drip edge that will need adjusting due to being flared upward. This project consist of a hip roof and two sections of flat roof. The flat roof was to get a commercial grade rolled roof. The hip roof was to get shingles. My wife and I spoke with Stevan regarding the color-match of the two. Stevan assures is the colors would match. Well, they don't. Not even close. I am still in New York and have yet to see the roof in person. I spoke with Stevan regarding the above issues and he became offensive saying he felt as if I were "attacking him", and he mentioned they had done extra work and didn't request payment for the extras. Completely unprofessional. I explained to him that I have a right to expect a job well done, and making excuses is not professional. I also reminded him the terms of the contract in respect to additional work: he would contact me and we would come to an agreement. Stevan has assured me that he will have someone at my house next Monday to fix the above problems. He did however say the electrical riser will not get the promised (in the contract) boot due to his worker not feeling safe with the installation, despite the pre-contract talk with Stevan assuring me there would not be any problem with the installation. He even went as far as to explain how the install it. Again, I will do a second part to this review after the corrections have been made. I may do an additional review after seeing the job in person. Hopefully it'll be a better review.
