He was able to replace the cap and I had no pain or problems since. I appreciate their quick attention to my needs and were able to fix the problem. A office staff came in with a breakdown of the procedures and costs. She gave me the total and my payment options. The expense was a little more than I expected but it was an emergency so I guess it will all be worth it in the long run. I am sorry I didn't catch the name of the Dr that I saw but he was very young and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Well, things finally started getting dodgy and I got an abcessed tooth. I remembered seeing Dr. Hamilton's ad in the Banner Gazette, so I gave her office a call. They promptly gave me an appointment and Dr. Hamilton diagnosed and started treating my absess and determined what other pressing issues were on the horizon. She helped me prioritize everything and PAINLESSLY got me back on the path to great dental health. The nicest thing about Dr. H is that she doesn't push unnecessary procedures on you. I have a friend whose dentist has convinced her that all of her old fillings needed replacement. The other thing that I love about Dr. Hamilton and her staff is that they are very gentle with you and do whatever is needed to make sure you're not in any discomfort. They also really care. Ok now that you understand how I feel about dentist I can tell you about Dr Emerson and his staff. I had 5 teeth that needed repaired. 4 front teeth and 1 molar. I entered a relatively new waiting area and was greeted warmly by a lady at the front desk. The office is clean and well decorated. There is a tv playing. I was near tears when the dental assistant came to get me. I went into a small but private exam room. Dr Emerson (the older man) he was very calm and friendly. Couple weeks later get a bill for $80, I call them and ask why and they said because we took X-rays, might I add they just took X-rays, also was never informed of these charges ahead of time, was expecting a free clean and that was it. However, at this appointment, my dental hygienist, Shayna Hamilton, who was very pleasant, asked me whether I wanted an additional procedure to go along with my routine dental clean and check up. I informed her I was OK with that if it was covered within my dental allowance. She said she would check with Jana at the front desk to review my coverage. Shayna came back and informed me that Jana said I was already over my allowance. I informed her that I didn't want to do the extra procedure and asked her how much out of pocket the routine exam and cleaning would be. She went to Jana and came back and told me it would be $89.35. I said OK let's go ahead with the routine cleaning and exam. On my way out, I stopped at the front desk and provided Jana my credit card to pay my $89.35 dental charge, which she processed. A couple of weeks later, I received a statement from Floyds Knobs Dental showing the $89.35 charge I had paid for and a balance of another $89.35. I called Floyd Knobs Dental on July 24th and spoke to Jana regarding why I was being charged another $89.35. She indicated that she had told me when I was in the office that there may be some adjustments by the insurance company and that there may be some additional charges. Jana is not being truthful. Jana and I didn't have any conversations on this matter. The conversations I had were with Shayna who spoke with Jana. And, Shayna stated unequivocally that Jana said my out of pocket was $89.35 and no caveats were mentioned. I don't like being lied to or misled. It's not the money I have done wella as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), corporate executive, and a financial consultant to Fortune 500 companies. It's the principle. Consequently,I will no longer use Floyds Knobs Family Dental for dental procedures.

I was really anxious, because I don't have dental insurance, and I knew I'd be paying 100% out of pocket. After calling a couple of places, I called Dale Family Dentistry and spoke to Meredith. Instead of simply running down the office's standard fees, she asked me about what I was looking for in a visit. I was absolutely relieved when she said the office has a program specially designed to help those without insurance! For $225 per year, clients receive two exams, two cleanings, and all x-rays (extremely thorough ones at that!). You even receive 15% off procedures. They had an opening at 4:30, same day, so I took it. From filling out my paperwork to x-rays, the entire team was so, so nice. Each staff member took time to explain what steps were next, and I appreciated that the staff went a little further to explain why certain things were being done. Like 3D xrays-- the dentist was able to see if I had any jaw issues, cysts, etc. I wouldn't have known otherwise! My dental hygienist, Lynn, was absolutely lovely--making sure I was comfortable, no pain, and gave me a lot of positive feedback about what I was doing right and what could be improved. This place is ideal for scaredpants--the team will make you feel at home and will be polished and professional from beginning to end.
