I called them they said come in so they could look at it, low.and behold they charge exam fee for this. So moving past that hiccup, than I scheduled a free yearly teeth cleaning. Couple weeks later get a bill for $80, I call them and ask why and they said because we took X-rays, might I add they just took X-rays, also was never informed of these charges ahead of time, was expecting a free clean and that was it. Moving past that issue I have a feeling that fell out I call to make appointment for April 20 @ 8am, after arriving they say we don't have appointment for you. This was their work and they dont want to warranty it. They are good at making appointments than changing the day and time day of. Do yourself a favor find a different dentist, and save the headache

However, at this appointment, my dental hygienist, Shayna Hamilton, who was very pleasant, asked me whether I wanted an additional procedure to go along with my routine dental clean and check up. I informed her I was OK with that if it was covered within my dental allowance. She said she would check with Jana at the front desk to review my coverage. Shayna came back and informed me that Jana said I was already over my allowance. I informed her that I didn't want to do the extra procedure and asked her how much out of pocket the routine exam and cleaning would be. She went to Jana and came back and told me it would be $89.35. I said OK let's go ahead with the routine cleaning and exam. On my way out, I stopped at the front desk and provided Jana my credit card to pay my $89.35 dental charge, which she processed. A couple of weeks later, I received a statement from Floyds Knobs Dental showing the $89.35 charge I had paid for and a balance of another $89.35. I called Floyd Knobs Dental on July 24th and spoke to Jana regarding why I was being charged another $89.35. She indicated that she had told me when I was in the office that there may be some adjustments by the insurance company and that there may be some additional charges. Jana is not being truthful. Jana and I didn't have any conversations on this matter. The conversations I had were with Shayna who spoke with Jana. And, Shayna stated unequivocally that Jana said my out of pocket was $89.35 and no caveats were mentioned. I don't like being lied to or misled. It's not the money I have done wella as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), corporate executive, and a financial consultant to Fortune 500 companies. It's the principle. Consequently,I will no longer use Floyds Knobs Family Dental for dental procedures.

But that's not enough for me to make a review…read more When I got a filling with them, the tech was completely unprepared, seemed out of it, and had no idea what was going on. I was incredibly nervous with her work but I was stuck already in the process. My daughter got three fillings and in less than 2 months they had fallen out. We had to go to another dentist and pay full price (as insurance won't cover fillings for the same tooth within that time span), as landmark refused to refund us anything- even the copay - and expected us to return to them for replacement - why would I go back to a dental office that couldn't do it correctly the first time? There is no justifiable way for a kid to lose three different fillings from two separate appointments within 2months outside of the company's negligence. There's something really fishy going on with this office. Bad attitude in the front desk, a hygienist who seems to be on something, and 2 separate appts (3 separate fillings) that fell out of my daughters' mouth with 2 months.

They…read moreREFUSE to bill secondary insurances out of obvious greed and try to tell you that's how most offices work, but that was also a lie as I called FOUR offices in less than an hour after I canceled my appointment and ALL four had ZERO problem billing a secondary. Obviously the office and billing staff are ignorant, lazy and greedy. Just be sure to check your insurance because they sure as hell won't tell you.

After I arrived I was taken back to my room and assessed by the dental assistant. She was very thorough and explained everything she was doing. The doctor came in and proceeded to evaluate my tooth. He was able to replace the cap and I had no pain or problems since. I appreciate their quick attention to my needs and were able to fix the problem. A office staff came in with a breakdown of the procedures and costs. She gave me the total and my payment options. The expense was a little more than I expected but it was an emergency so I guess it will all be worth it in the long run. I am sorry I didn't catch the name of the Dr that I saw but he was very young and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

I…read morehad a failing root canal and needed the tooth to be removed, the tooth was infected so it was harder to numb that normally. The dentist was so rough with me it caused extra pain, was frustrated with me because i wasnt numbing easily . Sent me home & said he cant help. I got the tooth removed same day from my regular dentist which lets me know he wasn't numbing me correctly and should go back to school . Idk if it was cause im black but i never had that experience & was never rude to expect him to act like he did. Ill never recommend this dentist to ANYONE . Go to first care dental pls .
