I am writing this on behalf of current and future patients of Dr. Cheryl in hopes of keeping unsuspecting patients from poor dentistry.
As a former employee of Cheryl Hamilton, I unfortunately witnessed serious unethical discussions, malpractice and insurance fraud on a daily basis throughout my short time there. Though the staff of the front desk and hygiene is wonderful, Dr. Cheryl is able to very successfully deceive every patient with a smile and friendly chatter, while grossly overcharging for poor dentistry.
Dr. Cheryl would repeatedly speak poorly of patients to the staff; this included comments regarding a patient's weight, financial status and physical appearance.
Inappropriate and often perverted statements were made regularly.
My paycheck and other staffs' were often shorted, sometimes by small amounts and other times larger. The staff developed a habit of documenting each wage and hour worked with photos in hopes to stop her from changing details of timecards.
Products that were expired were used on patients at her request and not disposed of in an attempt to keep from purchasing new supplies and materials.
Crown and bridge procedures were performed with NO x-rays or documentation on file in order to make quick profit on high production procedures.
After completing a crown on a patient and receiving payment, the patients would often remain in pain, only to find out from another practice that the tooth was beyond repair and required an extraction.
Poor use and understanding of how to use basic dental equipment was present. On a regular basis drills and burs were dropped in patients mouths as they were not correctly connected.
Dr. Cheryl has several active cases of malpractice currently awaiting trial.
I am writing this in hopes to steer impressionable patients from financial and dental distress from this practice.
I would not want a loved one to be taken advantage of in the way I have witnessed at this office.
