I started out as a tenant at a property in Modesto. Adrian did both the move-in and move-out walkthroughs. There were zero surprises on either one. While we were tenants, Adrian and her staff were always exceptionally helpful and responsive. When we needed maintenance on the property, there were no delays. At move-out time, we left it as we received it, so there were no unexpected fees. For the renters complaining about things such as being charged for a AC filter...try learning to adult. Replacing burnt out lights, dirty filters, etc. are all normal expectations for tenants. If you have mold in bathrooms, try opening a window or running an exhaust fan. The complaints on here are childish and petty; some of these tenants need to grow up. About a year after we left our rental, our relatives moved out of a house we owned. Upon seeing the dismal state in which it was left, we realized we needed a property manager so we did not have to deal with that again. We called up Adrian, and in very short order we were now on the other side of the relationship as owners. Since then, NBM has done an excellent job at every turn. When the AC stopped working last summer, NBM was quick to get a repair service out to our house so the AC could be fixed ASAP. The online portal makes accessing our statements quick and easy. For minor repairs, NBM takes care of them just adjusts the funds to us as needed. Nothing could be easier from an owner perspective. It provides me great peace of mind knowing we need not worry about our property as NBM has it covered. Finally, during the COVID-19 crisis, Adrian and team have been stellar. They have provided timely and informative updates on rental situations as federal, state, and local government laws are constantly shifting during this time. If you are a responsible, mature adult, looking for a rental, NBM is a great agency. If you are a property manager looking to avoid the headaches of being landlord, NBM is just what you need.

Long story short, the call felt like he read my review right before he called me and was fired up. I get it, my review isn't nice. It's not meant to be, its about my experience with his staff. He came at me guns blazing stating I lied in my online review. I asked him where and he said I lied about the fee I paid to apply. I asked him if he found any other discrepancies in my review. He said he was not aware that the dog poop was left but thats not a discrepancy, just news to him. I let him know I would look back at my books to see exactly what we paid and that I would edit that part of my review. So I did. My husband and I paid $45 each for a total of $90. I expected an apology phone call for my experience with them and maybe that he would talk to his staff and work on their customer service for the future. And it sadly did not go that way. I let him talk to me very disrespectfully and when he was done, I asked him questions and asked if certain steps his staff did was correct and he found where they were in the wrong and THATS where he finally apologized. I'm no longer upset, just really disappointed that when staff fails to try to make things right, even the owner doesn't attempt to turn the experience around. Now to see all the terrible reviews I'm glad we did not sign anything with them. Kindness goes a long way. It's not hard to just say "no, sorry we don't accept pets" rather than "our property advertises no pets so what should that tell you? Think about it" SOOO RUDE. Think before you rent from these people and I'll make sure to advise everyone I know to stay away.

My family and I filled out the applications and got accepted right away and were gonna move in tight away but red flags popped up. They even left a sticky pad full of them there!! Omg! It was so disgusting! I just can't believe they would lie to us! And before we went to go see the house, we asked the lady in Turlock "if we were to move in and we see one two weeks later, will they spray?" She had the nerve to say "no because we are renting the house clear of roaches and if tenant sees one than tenant brought them and it's tenants responsibility" are you kidding me! When we returned the keys to the office we showed them pictures and they were "shocked". We asked for our holding deposit back and our application fee back as well. We got attitude from the manager but she gave it back to us. They're such a joke! I feel bad for the person or people that's going to rent that house! It was infested of German roaches!
