This has to be one of our family's favorite local spots to go after church for breakfast or lunch. The place is small but does have the space for a large party. You can tell they have a lot of regulars, but even if it's your first time, the staff makes you feel like you're a regular. The service is always great, and the food never disappoints. They have a good variety of options, from traditional American to Mexican dishes. They also have a kids' menu and let's not forget their delicious cheese cake and pies! I usually order the chilaquiles, but this time I went with the chicken fried steak, and it definitely hit the spot for my comfort food craving. My friend ordered the French toast meal, and her granddaughter got the kids' mac and cheese. We all enjoyed our meals and the interaction with the staff as they are very attentive! Do not eat the huevos rancheros!! The sauce tasted old and like it was mixed with spaghetti sauce the beans were definitely rosaritos refried beans from a can and the tortillas were guerro brand straight out of the bag! I spent almost $20 on something I scrapped to eat the eggs. When the waitress noticed I ate barely anything she just continued like I was ok with the service. I don't like to cause a scene so I paid and I even tipped the waitress $4 cash. Not even 20 mins after leaving my stomach was in pain and I was in the bathroom. I called them to tell them check the food and the lady on phone said no one has complained and she will tell the owner, I got no "let me reverse the payment" even just to discount me!? I've been on a journey trying different spots in Lake Elsinore. The locals make a big deal out of breakfast burritos so I thought I'd try the different offerings around town. Especially since I've rarely had a bad breakfast burrito. While I've seen this spot millions of times and it's real close to me, I've never been in the plaza but today I went for it. There are pics of their old menu floating around and I would love to try the shrimp scramble that it appears they used to offer. Anyways... The interior is roomy, you sit yourself and there are plenty options. Servers here are damn near local legends-that's how good the servers are. Customers know them and remember them by name-but they also are observant and good with names. But that breakfast burrito. Again, I've rarely had a bad breakfast burrito and my streak didn't end here. Let's talk about that salsa tho-it really was the icing on the cake. I never really make a big deal about salsa but it was very memorable here. It has a smoky hint to it, almost as if they mix it with bbq sauce or something but it really adds something special to the burrito. Looking forward to coming back and trying more. read more

In my experience this place could use a change in menu with more options and a little bit better management. While I was here with my family we had to ask the waitress to give us a refill. She was very busy on her phone and even when people came in the establishment they weren't greeted with eye contact. She was very nice, and I have nothing against her personally. I didn't understand why even though she saw that our cups were empty she not once offered to give us a refill. read more

They were Super busy and instead of holding up our waitress while we decided on what to eat , we asked her what she would recommend. The breakfast Burrito and Pumpkin pancake combo it is. One of the best, arguably the best in Lake Elsinore. This place is literally around the corner from my old house I lived in for 7 years. My biggest regret is not trying it much sooner. Tried Calle D Landing Zone Café for the first time, and overall, it was a good experience! The interior has a nice vibe, and the music added to the atmosphere. I ordered the breakfast avocado toast--first time trying it--and it was actually really good. The only downside was the service. The waiter had a bit of an attitude, which made the experience less welcoming, but nothing too crazy. Other than that, the food was solid, and the place itself is nice.
