My vehicle was brought in for diagnostics. It was kept overnight and while waiting for my ride a car salesperson saw and talked to me while looking at new vehicles. A phone call the next day by a service technician said I needed a new transmission. 7,000 dollars. I paid for diagnostics 200 dollars and took it for a second and third opinion. Vehicle had a code in the computer for Camshaft timing sensor issue...300 dollars later my vehicle runs flawlessly with over 400 miles added. Thanks Landers Nissan for trying to clean my clock ! Shop around before you bring your Nissan car here. Was quoted $354 for a fuel injector, called 2 more Nissan dealerships near me, Desoto County, and was quoted $274 and $226 for the same OEM injector from Nissan. The last quote I received was a few cents off from NissanUsa.com price of $226.17, which is Nissan's official parts store. As shown this dealership appears to inflate the cost of parts coming directly from Nissan, that's a $128 mark-up. So shop around and save yourself some money. read more

God awful and incompetent. I called to schedule an appointment, thought there was a leak in one of my tires, was told they were only doing walk-ins. Got there thirty minutes before they opened. They took my car to the back and said it shouldn't be long. TWO HOURS LATER I get told there's a nail in my tire and due the location of it the tire must be replaced. An hour after that I'm handed my keys, told my tire was patched up, and rushed out. Given nothing, no paperwork. Later that day I get on the highway and my car starts shaking. I call and ask what was done to my car and their records show that no service was given. I had to go back the next morning and the manager continually made excuses and still wanted me to pay full price for the tire, the service, and the realignment that they had to fix. never in my life have I had an experience this horrendous with a nissan dealership. you would think it's the safer place to be, rather than any regular tire shop, but no. find a better place to get your car serviced read more

I hope my experience is a rarity but it was still an extremely negative experience nonetheless. Friday I checked the landers Nissan website for 3 2013 Nissan Altima's that all were under 10k. My wife called to set up a test drive that following Saturday for two Altimas at 5:15pm. We were told the 3rd Altima was at the Collierville location. That Saturday we arrived at landers Nissan Southaven around 5:10 pm. We told the employee standing outside that we had a test drive appointment at 5:15pm. He didn't recognize the name we gave him, and he looked confused when I stated that we were there for the 2 2013 Altimas. He looked up the cars on his phone, then asked us to follow him inside the dealership. We sat and waited as he went to his computer, looked up the cars on the website, came back to ask us about the cars again, then went back to his computer. After a few minutes he came back, still confused about the cars and asked our price range. We told him around 10k, and he suggested a Camry and a Cadillac. We still weren't clear on if the Altimas were sold or available. He took us to the computer to show us the Camry and that's when he saw the Altimas still on the website. I commented again about the 2013 Altimas still on the website in our price range. Then he grabbed the truck keys to take us around the lot to find the cars. Long story short we ended up not finding the cars as he drove around clicking the alarm button on his keys. As he's driving he's not telling us whether the Altimas are sold or not, he's trying to sell us the Cadillac and the Camry. We were told we wouldn't be able to find a good car for 10k and we need to finance a car around 20k. After the wasted trip, we asked again about the status of the Altimas and could we double check to see if they're still on the lot. He makes some comment about one of the battery's in one of the Altimas is dead and the website isn't accurate. The cars were just put up on the website recently so it wouldn't make sense for them to not be on the lot. Especially since the 3 2013 Altimas were put online at the same time, and the Altima at the Collierville location was sold recently. So how do 2 cars disappear? He parks the truck and we walk back in the dealership. We asked that he double check on the status of the cars while we talk it over, amongst ourselves. My wife went to the bathroom and, shortly after, the employee came back to where I was sitting. I told him we were set on the Altimas and didn't want any other cars. He told me one Altima wasn't on the lot (I guess it disappeared) and the other had a dead battery. Then he questioned me on why I was buying an older car. I told him the Altimas are reliable with good gas mileage. He then commented that they're not reliable at all. Clearly he just wanted me to buy whatever cars he was selling, and he came of extremely disrespectfully. After that comment, I was done and ready to go. He asked me again if I wanted to look at another car, I said nah and he walked off. Wifey came back from the bathroom and I got up and we left. We ended up spending an hour at this location. We didn't find the cars we wanted, we were disrespected, and our time was wasted when we had an appointment time set up. If the cars were already sold, just let us know. Don't have paying customers wasting gas and their time just to get the run around. You can't talk down to your paying customers. We were ready and willing to get a car but now we have no car and a wasted Saturday experience.I will never go back to this location. read more

I a check engine light that recently came on in my Nissan Altima that I just purchased. I was told to bring the car in after my 30 days to let my warranty kick in. I had questions about my warranty package since k couldn't get anyone on the phone I went to the dealershi. I was escorted to the service depart where I meet CHRIS SMITH . I told him what I had going on what I needed answers to what this warranty covers. This guy was rude from the time I was introduced to him. He told me that he didn't know what I was talking about and that i needed to have my paper work which I had in my hand and he didn't even offer to look at it nor pull it up on the computer to look at my warranty information. Scheduled an appointment to take my wife's Jeep in to get the start stop service light looked at. When she dropped it off, they asked if she was dropping off or waiting. She stated dropping off. We text the number for an update, called and waited on hold for 10 minutes for them to tell us it wouldn't be ready till later in the week, the mechanics that look at that stuff don't work weekends. I moved here from out of state so sim just using this dealership as a first time. I called & the woman on the phone wasn't helpful whatsoever. She said to make an appointment online. I made my appt, I arrived earlier that the expected time- not to rush things. just to be on time. I get here &a associate tries to upsale my car, which i've only had for 3 months. Ok cool, doing your job. He told me where to go... I pull into the service & everyone is just looking. no one comes so I had to get out the car, get my 7month old out. The worker seemed to have an attitude but since i had my child i brushed it off. I get help & move to the inside of the building. Lots of space so that was great. But you could clearly see there was confusion within the workers. Everyone was moving slow & it just seemed unorganized. An hour & a half passes & Ive heard nothing about my car. I text the number you're given for in service questions to check on the time frame because I have my baby remember... someone else comes out. explained the other man was gone & he took over. It was just a pretty shitty wait time. I didn't get a car wash. I didn't get a tire rotation. Nothing that comes in my normal package when servicing my car. THEN they tried to charge me for my oil change & it's included in my warranty. & I feel this could've been avoided if the woman on the phone would've been a LITTLE more helpful. This was a preplanned event and it slowed down my whole day. I know dealing with a dealership I've never had this problem with an appointment. even without an appointment. We purchased a new Titan 3 months ago at this dealership. The internet add that got us into the dealership was significantly less than what the sticker price was on the truck parked on the lot. We questioned why and were informed that the truck now had a lift and upgraded tires which we paid full price for aprox $4000.00 this cost was now added to the cost of the truck. We paid extra for an additional dealer installed lift and Nitto Ridge Grapphler tires which we did not have a problem with. The next day we delivered the trade in and picked up the truck, we asked the salesman to throw the original set of factory delivered tires in the back of the truck for our future use since we paid full price for the lift and Nitto tires, the Salesman informed us that no one has ever asked for them and that they already sold them. My wife got a different story about a break in that had happened the past weekend where the tires were stolen. We asked the sales manager and he said no problem that he would provide a set of tires when they were available, we were told he had added it to the computer for us to get the tires when they upgraded another truck. We have been calling and asking the sales manager for 3 months now and every time we get the standard brush off blaming the corona virus for slow sales. Last time we called he basically told me to get lost. I opened a case with Nissan Corporate about the issue but Corporate told us that they only handle problems with the truck, not the dealership sales practices. They said that the tire issue was between the sales manager and us. We have been Nissan customers for over 16 years and bought a Titan new the first year they were available. This last experience with this dealer has made us rethink where to purchase our next Nisan. Let me reiterate there is nothing mechanically wrong with the truck its the dealers practices that has changed our minds so buyer beware. read more

Bait and switch and dishonesty! After communicating with online sales, they email me a quote for a 2018 Rogue (new, for $19,990 after savings). I go to the dealership the same day and am told that car is sold (in the 5 hours since the email). I tell the salesman my criteria, financial capabilities and limits. The salesman then found a few more cars for me to try, one of them being a 2019 Jeep (used, but only 4K miles and a great price). After test driving it (I loved it), the salesman told me they could get it within my budget. An hour after I filled out all the paperwork, and had them check my (confirmed by them) great credit, and confirm the amount they'd give me for my trade in, the financing manager says they can't get it within my range, and gives me a number $65 more than my upper limit. They refuse to budge on anything (to keep their word) and try to sell me on multiple used vehicles instead with over 30,000 miles. Terrible experience, waste of time and extremely disappointed with this dealership. I strongly recommend not going here, if you want a good customer service experience, let alone honest business practices. read more

I took my Nissan in for service as my driver's side electric seat wouldn't move forward. I demontrated to the service attendant that the motor was good as the seat moved every other direction. (up-down, backwards, and the lumbar seat back moved forward and back). I was told that the problem was most likely the switch or something (like coins) blocking the track, a fuse, or a disconnection in the wiring. I asked for a call before any work was done and requested an estimate for the work. After having my vehicle for a day and a half, I called to check on the status. I was told their diagnostics showed the whole seat mechanism, track, and motor needed to be replaced. This was without actually looking at the switch or wiring, and seeing that the motor was working. The estimated total cost with labor (2 hrs at $300) was going to be over $1,500.00. I have to pay $150 for the diagnostic that showed nothing. I DID NOT HAVE THE SERVICE DONE. PLEASE BE WARNED: DO NOT HAVE ANY SERVICE WORK DONE HERE. read more

Terrible experience! I was there 3 hours, arriving approximately at 8:30 am, for an oil change and tire rotation and balance. When I was informed of the completion, I paid $100+, and proceeded to my vehicle, at approximately 11am. As I was approaching my vehicle, I noticed that my tires where not rotated. Evidence... I had a slight peel of tire rubber on my rear driver's tire, it was still it was still there. I brought the attention to the workers and was informed that they will rotate the tires immediately and maybe the techs didn't change the order after balancing...? I went back inside to wait. Once, I seen the tech drive my vehicle out, I walked to him, he handed me my keys, and I noticed they move the tire to the (front driver's side). I really wanted to check my oil; however, this was a day before my birthday and I was already behind on schedule. I've always had great experiences here, but clearly someone dropped the ball and I still had to drop the funds. I'm so happy that I pay attention to details. I'd give a negative rating if it was allowed. We love our Nissan, but if I based it off Landers service dept I'd never buy another. Made the earliest appointment they offer three days ahead for a fluid change. Arriving v e fifteen minutes early as to be on time is to be late. This procedure previously only took 1 hour. At the hour fifteen minute mark the service manger said it'd take another 2 1/2 hours. When that was up he said an additional half hour. An it took another hour and ten minutes. Almost five hours for a job that usually takes an hour! They gave me a $24 credit for taking so long. Buy a Nissian, just don't use Landers service dept! read more

My name is Patricia Lark I purchased a 2016 Nissan Altima thru Takesha Clark @ Landers Auto on JANUARY 06,2018. When I test drove the car that day I thought I heard some squeaking of the brakes & I let the sales person know & I let the window down but I didn't hear anything else. So I made the deal on the car because I really liked it. Since then I have had to bring the car every week. this will be the fourth week in a row today.. This car has been an inconvience to me since I bought it. 1st they were saying I needed a total brake job then they said no they can just clean the rotors. Oh forgot to mention this is supposed to be a certified used car.... so how did it make it thru the service dept with the brakes squeaking @ just about every stop sign? @ least 80% of the time when I am applying the brakes they squeak.. I have had to take off work, come before work, purchase a rental, come on the weekends also to bring this car back & fourth to the service dept.. I really like the car I purchased just don't think I should have to deal with the brakes squeaking & I havn't even had the car barley a full month.. I have left several messages for Pat Baker the service manager & no call back. My sales person MS Clark never called to see if I am enjoying the car or anything & she knew about this problem that I had been having with the brakes.. I just feel like they took my down payment & just didn't care what they sold me... I am very dissatisfied with LANDERS NISSAN AUTO & SERVICE DEPT. Went in today looking for a car and being that it was windy the saleslady suggested we go in and search on the computer first. So we find the perfect car for me at their Collierville location which was not a problem. She prints me out the paper work and I'm off to my banker...mind you I'm already exhausted from the whole car lot to car lot search but all the same I'm excited because I've finally found the perfect car. Go to the bank all goes well and BOOM the car was sold from their Collierville location 2 days ago..TWO DAYS AGO! This info came from the Collierville sales rep after an hour and a half of calling the sales lady at Southaven and leaving messages and still not reaching her. And no one else was able to help me because she had already taken my name...WOW!! So I decided to drive back over and when she comes out and I explain to her my issue her reply was "Ooh yeah it did sale, anyway what did your bank say" another crazy WOW moment..I was looking for more of a I do apologize for the mix up and wasting your time type of response...Needless to say I'm continuing my search elsewhere and if I do return I will definitely request another salesman. read more

My car is subject to the infamous airbag deployment with shrapnel recall, so my husband called last week to Southaven Landers Nissan to set up an appointment to have the part replaced. They said that they didn't do appointments and were shorthanded last week, but if we would come in Monday or Tuesday of this week, they'd have it done in a couple of hours. When we got there early this morning, the service manager said "You have fifteen cars ahead of you, so come back Thursday" as dismissive as you please. I had to ask for the names of other dealerships and for the number for one of them. He did not even offer to call the other dealership for us. In the meantime, while we were trying to get the number for the other dealership, another person came up with their car and a service technician went straight over there and started looking at it. So if you need service on your Nissan and you are in DeSoto or Shelby County -- do not go to Landers Southaven; go to Wolfchase Nissan. It's a longer drive, but they were professional, concerned, explained what the recall was about, and helpful. read more

On 5/17/17, Wed Morn, around 8 a.m. in the Servicing Dept...I noticed there were a few "older" gentlemen walking around welcoming what appeared to me a "select" group of customers to snacks, and more during their wait. But they seem a bit partial, as they only selected the customers that they wanted to welcome. I think greeters should not select only the ones they favor, but a professional greeter leaves not one customer un-attended in his/her view. It feels weird hearing others get treated like royalty, when you've spent your money but you're treated like a ghost. Just don't sit at the cubicles alone, that's how they will make you feel, as you hear the "niceness" flying all over your head. Not a pretty feeling, I don't think they were even aware of this themselves...Or were they? Everyone regardless of skin, color, or beauty likes to feel beautiful, just saying. I must admitt that was one of my first weird experience there. But thanks to Mr. Pat Baker, listening to my experience and saving the day. He apologized on their behalf and was nothing but nice to me. God bless his soul, thanks to him I might consider going back, but no lie, I'm shakened. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't deal with these people. Decided to purchase a car for my wife and kids. Turns out the dealership mix up the vin numbers on the car, which wouldn't allow me to renew my tags for the car almost a year and a half after purchasing the car. Dealership wouldn't provide dealer tags or a rental for my wife and kids to drive during the process of figuring out why after a year and a half the car still didn't have a proper title. Force me and my wife to have to buy a new car out of fear of getting pull over by the police for out of date tags. These people have no compassion for hardworking families or a simple sorry for you're inconvenience, do to our mess up. Customer happiness is not a concern for this dealership or the people that work in it. Spend your hardworking dollars at a dealership that truly cares for hardworking families. We have brought our vehicles here because it is the closest to our house. Not once has the service been anything but bad. Ask how long something is going to take and the answer is always at least an hour and a half if not longer. No matter what time you get there, and no matter how many people are in back of or in front of you, the answer is always the same. their service dept is awful and so is the so called "service advisor" charles lee walls. they let me leave dealership after what was supposed to be simple oil change and tire rotation with a missing lug nut. but apparently "any idiot" knows you cant put a lug nut back on that is stripped out. a brand new car with a stripped out lug nut? take the short drive to oxford nissan if you need a car or service! they have it going on! you will not have a problem there!!! worth the drive! lesson learned for me! read more
