So I decided to return and give Landai Nails another chance as they reached out to me on Yelp to apologize and kept passing on the apology to my friends that went there. Julie did my nails this time - I was planning to get dip again but she recommended Solar nails instead. To be honest, I was very hesitant returning because of my first visit and this visit is actually for my birthday next week LOL But my friends have been going there for months now and they would always show me the results and it looked amazing every time (They get theirs done by Kenzo). I am really pleased and happy with how my nails turned out this time! It turned out sooo much better. Julie took her time and made sure everything was perfect. As I was leaving, Lan apologized for my first visit and wanted to make it up to me by giving me this set on the house! I really appreciate the gesture and their efforts in correcting the situation. They've gained a repeat customer :) read more

First time in this salon and I had a good experience. The place looks nice and clean. The staff were friendly and was offered with some refreshments. I had shellac mani and pedi. I enjoyed my foot spa. It was so relaxing, added by a hot stone massage. I had ombre for my finger nails and I liked it. My only reason for giving a 4 is because my aesthetician is not comparing if both sides of the nails were even. Same with the nail color. I just noticed that my right side has intense color than the other one when I got home. Its hard to notice because its so bright in there. However, I think I'll be a regular. read more

On Monday the 4th of November was my first time visiting the salon. The nail tech was a very kind person but honestly did the worst job I have had done on my nails... I do not mean to rant on your services but I believe you have to be aware of this type of situation. She was filing my nails but went too close to my skin and hurt it very badly. I had 5 bleeding fingertips.... not like she couldn't notice :/ Not only did it hurt for a few days, this isn't hygienic considering that you use the same files and tools on all clients. Sorry but I will not come back. read more

Perhaps THE BEST manicure I have ever had. Lan was my nail technician. She was the SWEETEST!! She even helped me choose colours and encouraged me to try a new colour I wouldn't have on my own. She was patient and never rushed me. When wrapping up my manicure she noticed a slight dent in my nail from me probably touching the edge of the LED lamp. She quickly fixed it with another layer of top coat. No one has ever done that for me before. Seriously you have to go here. They are kind and patient with you. Not happy till you are happy. This will be my go to spot from now on. read more

I am glad to say I finally found my nail place, and lady! I am getting so many compliments on these nails! I have never had anyone take so much time and be so precise with my nails. She also knew exactly what would look good! Definitely the place to go! read more

Nails looked ok, but three came out a bit over two weeks after. Technician ignored my requests for shape and was going on a back and forth with a client that complained about her mother waiting for long. Was relatively pleasant with me. Day after did a pedicure, together with shellac and less than one week after the nail polish was coming off. read more

I won't be coming back here again. Paid $40 for shellac manicure and 2 nails chipped off after 1 day. I had shellac done for the past 3 years, I have never seen shellac chipping off after 1 day. Really disappointing considering shellac is supposed to last at least 2 weeks or more. I only came here because the salon I regularly go to is packed and I had to get my nails done. When I came, the woman was extremely hostile and the interior of the salon is very cramped. I finally got seated to get my nails done and the woman seemed to be rushing so she can go home. I had a feeling she didn't put enough top coat as she was on the cellphone distracted with her personal call while doing my nails. One day later, 2 of my shellac nails have chipped off. I take care of my new mani very well and make sure I don't do anything to damage them and make them last. Save your money and go to a more professional salon. Awful experience. UPDATE: it's been 2 days since my shellac manicure here and 3 nails have chipped off so far. Day 1: 2 shellac nails chipped off Day 2: one more shellac nail chipped off Week 1: down to 8 and half nail left The photos speaks for itself. Awful and extremely unprofessional nail salon !! read more

I have to say that the place was very clean and the technician was very kind to me. However, I checked their prices in their website (I'm attaching a screenshot for reference) so I decided to go all the way there because they looked reasonable. I told the lady that I wanted to just file and paint my nails, online it says that it's $13. However, she also cut my cuticles so I'm guessing she just went ahead and did the regular manicure (which i didn't ask for but it's ok!) and in their website shows $20. It was upsetting hearing her say that it's $25!!!! plus tax when I was expecting to spend 13, 20max... The worst part isn't the price but the quality of their work. The lady was very nice and did the color and shape she was told but PLEASE look at the pics that I took the same day I got them done. It's frustrating knowing that I spent $30 on this when I can do them myself much better. You can also appreciate in one of the fingers how she accidentally touched the nail with a towel and didn't bother to re-do it. I think what made them so bad was that she didn't pay much attention when applying the top-coat and it makes them look cracked. Unfortunately, will never go again. read more

I have just found my #1 nail salon in Etobicoke!! I have just moved to the area and have been trying out different nail salons. Some which have butchered my Gel nails... UNTIL I found this spot recommended by a friend. The service was incredible - the ladies who worked there were incredibly accommodating and so sweet. Very very clean salon and TONS, I mean TONS of colour options. Julie - the lady who did my nails was extremely attentive and listened to all my needs (I am very picky). The whole process did not take as long as I expected... And my nails now look the best it has in years! When I was paying Julie gave me a small bag with a travel size file and buffer with their business card! So sweet!!! Since I have visited Lan Dai Nails, I have been getting complements on my nails everyday! TRUST ME LADIES - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! read more

I've been going to this salon for years and can't say enough good things about it as well as all of the staff! I have had the pleasure of getting manicures, pedicures, shellac and lashes done here, mostly with Lana, Lan Dai and Vi, and they are all excellent! They are all attentive to detail and really care about you getting exactly the service you want. I do not currently live in Toronto, so whenever I come home my schedule is crazy, and they are always willing to accommodate my very limited time frame. Recently I was in town for a weekend and got my lashes and nails done by Lan Dai, who sent me back to Los Angeles looking more glamorous than ever!! Highly recommend! read more

Made this review on Google. She tried to gaslight me with her response so I created a Yelp account just to spread the review. I had an appointment here last week, the 13th before the appointment like I do all appointments, I confirmed the price. I was first told $55 for a mani and pedi with shelac and then told $60 the night before when I wanted to confirm the price. 60? Cool. At the end of the appointment I was charged $75 plus tax which came up to close to $90, about $87. When I tried to show the owner text messages and DMs and explain, she ignored me and attempted to rush me out. Feeling embarrassed I paid and left. RIGHT AFTER I LEFT, I sent her screenshots of texts and DMs of the price SHE CONFIRMED. She tried to tell me to come back and get $15 because she felt I was tense. What a c****n. Tense how? For attempting to prove we had a set price? I didnt even go back for the 15, she needed it bad enough, she could keep it. Let me note, during the pandemic I got a set of nails, and a pedi and paid $100. WHY THE HELL WOULD I PAY almost $90 FOR A MANI AND PEDI WITH SHELAC!!! Never going to them again, hope that $15 was worth this review. read more

An absolute waste of my money. You have to request certain technicians here or your experience will not be good. I'm truly just shocked at how poor my experience was here after having had such a positive experience the first time I went. The first time I went the technician was incredibly nice, meticulous, and my nails look immaculate! This time around I came in for a gel refill with a friend of mine who got the same service. I understand the place was busy, but my nail technicians were switched on me mid-way and the person who took over kept getting up for minutes at a time to handle other things around the salon and it took almost two hours for my simple refill to be completed. My nails are also filed crooked, and my technician tried to convince me that they were straight!? Didn't even try to fix them. My friend even looked at them and agreed that they were in fact, CROOKED. I had to let it go because I didn't really have any other choice and I'd already been at the salon for way too long. The application of shellac was also really not up to standard compared to my first visit here, the gel is bubbled and the polish floods into my cuticles. My friend's technician also refused to give her the nail shape she asked for, she wanted oval and got square, and then they misshaped the square!? It's just frustrating to go to the same salon, and this was literally my second visit, only to have the great work of the first technician completely undone. Again, I'm just incredibly disappointed. I really thought I'd finally settled on a great salon and my experience was truly the worst I've ever had getting my nails done. read more

I walked in and they were able to take me within minutes ! And the place was fairly busy !!!! They did a greatttt job on my nails and was very patient in helping me pick a color . I usually have a good experience, but this time when I was getting solar gel nails, I was given a novice employee. This young man wearing glasses had no idea what he was doing. I wish I knew what his name was so I could call him out but I do not! He shaved my nail beds until they were non-existant and made me bleed. On top of that, he ripped my broken nail off my finger. He had to ask other workers what to do and while he was gluing the tips onto my fingers, he got glue everywhere! Then his finger got stuck to mine. It was completely unprofessional. His ego was so big but his work was so poor. The only reason why my nails turned out decent was because I had to instruct him every step of the way! When he was putting the ball of gel to form the nail, he made them look so round; like snowglobes! I was only there to get a refill, but I ended up spending 2+ hours there due to his incompetency! All he did was file and file and file my nails a million times. Ultimately, I left furious with all my nail beds in pain! I had to pay $70 for this terrible experience and TIP him on top of it? I wish I didn't have to tip because he did not deserve one WHATSOEVER. I never want to get him as a nail technician again because he was terrible. I hope he is fired soon! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This review is passed over due, I have been coming here for years. This spa is clean, staff is extremely friendly and most importantly they do a phenomenal job. I get my nails done by LYNE, MONICA, KENZO and KEVIN. They all do a fantastic JOB. I am very particular with my nails as I have OCD, it's hard for me to find someone who takes their time with my nails to get every little detail, every single visit they never fail to please me. I have tried all the salons in the area and come all the way down from Mississauga to get my nails done here. Prices are reasonable and the selection for colors is good. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality work done on their nails, the staff will treat you like family! -Nataly S read more

Based on the first review of this place below I decided to try doing a shellac mani. I called and made an appt for after work and they took me as soon as I walked in. i asked for only colour change, and they did and charged me for a manicure even though I told her not to touch my cuticles and that she was hurting my hands. She proceeded to do it anyway, and then wouldn't not charge me for a colour change and said it was my fault because I asked the person on the phone not the nail tech.... $50 for just black nails that LOOK BLUE and jagged. I do not recommend. They don't take accountability. read more

I went here a few times and the vibe of this salon is terrible. The nail tech did my mom's nails AWFUL twice. We tried to give it a chance based on "good" reviews. The second time the nail tech was eating or I should say chomping on her food while serving us. It seems as though they think they're better than everyone they're servicing. The service was rude and snotty, don't get me started with the side-eye. Fix up. read more

I am so upset after the gel nails I got from this salon! I chose to try them out after reading the couple reviews, but was not lucky enough to have the same experience! I have had them for 9 days and 2 have already broken off, I have not done anything out of the ordinary that would cause them to break, they are simply just brittle! On top of that my regular salon charges me $25, and the nails last a good 3 weeks, whereas here I paid $45 and the nails didn't even last a week and a half! The appointment started off well, when I walked in the staff was welcoming and the salon was clean, however as time went on a few things started to turn me off: 1. As the lady was doing my nails (the owner I believe) she got up without saying a word to me, and proceeded to walk into the waxing room and wax a clients eyebrows, after I had waited over 1.5 hours to have my nails started. 2. She finished painting my nails and they were in the dryer, I noticed a scuff on one of them, and wanted to ask for it to be fixed, however all the staff had left the building and there was only one lady who was trying to attend to 5 other clients! So I waited around 20 minutes to see if the lady doing my nails would come back, she didn't, and I was going to be late for an event, so I left. 3. When I left the salon and my nails had completely dried I realized they were bumpy and the gel had not been evened out well at all! Overall I am very disappointed with the service provided at this salon and will not be returning! read more

Landai Nails & Spa - Middle finger nail cracked down the middle, ring finger completely broken off - Nail Salons Near Me - Etobicoke, Ontario

I was in the area and was in dire need of manicure. I thought I was check it out - they welcomed me and asked if I had an appointment, I told them I did not. They quickly made accommodations to take me, it wasn't much of wait. Landai was the one who did my manicure - she was very friendly and lovely to chat with. I usually hate when girls sand my nails like a piece of wood or over-cut my cuticles. She was precise and patient - especially since I am very picky with my shape and no one ever really gets it right. She sealed the shellac very well, which some places don't, which causes lifting in just a few days. I highly recommend this salon and will be back next time I'm in the area! read more

I have been going to Landai Nail Spa for over 2 years now. I first started going there when I admired a friend's beautiful nails and she told me "go see Lana". She was right. The salon staff is friendly and welcoming, they have all the latest colours and techniques. I started out with Biogel (no tips) and they were so thin and light, they felt like my own nails. Recently, I have been getting a fantastic dip gel nail that gives me the most perfect French manicure that never ever chips or yellows. Pedicures here are great too and they take good care to make sure everything is clean and disinfected. They are also great for waxing. Free parking. I can't say enough good things about Landai. Technician who did my nails was definitely not the greatest. She cut my finger while filing and splashed acetone on my arm. She was very sloppy with my shellac application and left spots on the edges. Also hard to tell if they sanitize their equipment properly. read more

I want to love this nail salon, but I've had very mixed experiences. The quality of the work seems to depend on the technician that you get, and how rushed they are for time. Pros: - Walk-ins are accommodated, meaning I rarely need an appointment - Pleasant staff Cons: - Limited colour selection. One day I wanted a shellac manicure in "Bubble Bath" (one of OPI's most popular colours) and they didn't have it, nor were they able to find something similar. I made it clear to the technician that I wanted an opaque pink, yet a sheer pink was applied. This mistake also happened on a previous occasion. - Hurried work at times, resulting in a sloppy manicure I've had several amazing pedicures and manicures here, but others where I left feeling very disappointed (and upset for spending the $$$)! read more

If there was an option below 1 I would certainly select that. I am more of a 3 strikes and you are out type of person. I've been going there for about a year now and I can tell you I gave them way more than 3 chances... their staff (with the exception of 1 or 2 people are extremely rude). Customer service means nothing at this place, so if you are used to good customer service, don't go there. Most of the time they either file my nails too much, too little, or in a shape I did not ask for. Every time I do Shellac it bubbles after. And when they screw up, they never apologize and still charge you full amount. Also, even when you ask for a certain person, they will have two people work on you for a quicker turnaround so they can get more people in. Safe to say after all this time, I'm looking for a more respectful place that can do a good job! read more
